I moved into Discovery Village at Twin Creeks. I am extremely satisfied with it. It's a very friendly community. It has multiple activities that you can participate in throughout the month, and they post those for the next month or early, so you can plan. There is what they call the town hall meeting, where you're informed of things going on. I like the apartment. It's very spacious for a one-bedroom apartment. The only time I had a small problem was when I first moved in, and they fixed it. I also have two dogs, and I have met other dog owners there. It's just really a very nice and friendly place to stay. The food is your responsibility. They do periodically throughout the year have specialties. The facility is very well kept. They have remodeled two of the three floors, and they will remodel the first floor. They have just redone their swimming pool and outdoor area for cooking. There is landscaping. The activities were so diversified. They have card games, bible studies, and field trips. They have a bus if you need to go to Walmart. I am getting my money's worth.

I liked the pricing better at Discovery Village At Twin Creeks and that they have more attached garages in some units, so it would be easier to get to and maybe store a few things there. The apartments were great. The amenities were also great. They have a nice movie room and lots of activities. They have card games, swimming, and aerobics. You name it. It was an older facility, so it wasn't as quite up to date as the other facility we saw that was much newer.

Facility is rather elderly. Staff is generally courteous. Gates have been inoperable most of the spring and summer and are still out and open. Activities not planned well and timing is inconvenient. The office is closed at 6 p.m. and no provisions are available for delivery at night or on week end. No staff available. Office closes from noon Saturday until 8 a.m. Monday. No staff on site during that time. Management skills are nonexistent. Of the senior living facilities I have experienced, this one ranks rock bottom.

I toured Discovery Village At Twin Creeks. Everybody was very polite, but they're too high. They wanted too much money, and there was hardly anything to do there. The apartments were nice, but a little small. Everything was there. They also had washer and dryer, but the problem was their square footage was small. They don't have a lot of things that will hold their attention, but they have a senior citizen center not far from them.

We will be moving into Discovery Village at Twin Creeks. Compared to the other ones that we've been to, it was very open and bright, very cheery, and very clean, and the people were very friendly. It's a place that my husband really feels comfortable moving to, and we don't have to buy meals. Other places have food included, and it made it way more expensive than what we could afford. They had an exercise room, a movie theater, and a bus if we needed to go shopping or to doctors' appointments.

I'm living in Discovery Village at Twin Creeks. I've been here for two years now. I love it here because I'm very independent, and I do everything on my own. I'm also getting a lot of health exercises here because the people who do Legacy Healthcare are right in our building, so I do it three times a week. They don't have food preparation; they used to have it until the pandemic came along. They also don't have doctors here. It's not a place where you can move in with all the healthcare that you need. They have a lot of entertainment. They have poker, bingo, and outside entertainers who come in frequently -- just a lot of different stuff. If you check this place out, you will see how active and fun it is. Every Friday at 1:00 p.m., we have a wonderful happy hour. Something is going on all the time. My apartment is roughly 750 square feet. It's a one-bedroom with one bath and a nice kitchen with big granite counters. It houses my computer, my TV, a dining-room table, couches, a nice, relaxing chair that my kids bought for me, and a card table where I put puzzles together. A month ago, our senior manager took a promotion within Discovery where he'll have a much larger staff and a much larger place to take on. He was replaced by someone with eighteen years of experience in managing facilities, and she's wonderful. We also have someone who shows the community to prospective new residents, and we have the best activity director in the state of Texas. She comes up with more stuff and keeps people entertained, whether it's five people or seventy-five people. She's great at pulling off these things, and her name is Julie. I love all of the staff here. There's a guy who prepares food and sells it here. He prepares and brings in individual packages of food, and you can order and get them every day of the week if you want. They're not prepared here, though; he prepares them and brings them to the apartments. The facility is all great, and it's a wonderful place. They're almost full most of the time, like ninety-percent capacity all the time. We have a nice maintenance staff who responds immediately to anything that you need to be done. They're also constantly updating the place, and they told us last week that they will be completely remodeling the entrance coming into the building, the activities room where we play games, and the breezeway area below.

My mom was at Discovery Village At Twin Creeks, and it's an excellent community. The staff was very caring, very understanding, and they were there for me whenever I needed them. It's a wonderful facility. She had her own apartment, and it was very nice. She stayed there for four weeks before she passed away. She cooked her own food, but the dining area was nice and large. They had a multitude of activities for the residents. They sent out a monthly newsletter that laid out the whole month. Her overall stay there was wonderful. The community was a nice, quiet community, and it just had a very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone. It was worth it, but the rent could be a little lower, especially when you're dealing with seniors.

Discovery Village is a gated community with apartments and cottages, and I have an apartment; I moved in March 17. It's near my daughter's place. They have a lot of activities, like Bible studies, card games, bingo, jewelry making, chair exercises, and meditation. They provide breakfast.
