My aunt's room at Springfield Heights is more like being at home. It does not feel like you're in a nursing home or a hospital. She has regular furniture in it. They also have a nice dining room. They serve good food and do activities. They painted pumpkins, decorated cookies, played bingo, and other little games. They have a beauty salon, too. For the meals, they got two different choices for breakfast, lunch, and supper. It's a beautiful place and everybody seems to enjoy the activities. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than some of the others and nicer.

Springfield Heights Senior Living is good. The residents did an exercise class when I was there one time, and another time they were actually still outside, and I like to see my dad in an activity. The facility is really clean and has plenty of staff. At the time I visited, they combined the memory care and assisted living because the assisted living building had a flood or some water leak, so I don't know how things would be normally after all those residents left, but I do know the memory care section only has six patients, which is a really good staff to patient ratio. If the assisted living patients weren't there, then there would be six patients and two staff at the very worst. I just had one little concern, and they said it would be fixed. When my dad arrived, they said they didn't have their own activity director because they just didn't have as many people yet, and that they were sharing one activity director with the assisted living building. When I met her, she was just the nicest person ever, so I'm still satisfied. I'm hoping things will stay just like this after the assisted living patients go back next door, but I saw how it was before they got there, maybe one time, and it was good, so I think it will be good. I did my research too. I talked to home health nurses that had gone to a bunch of different facilities and they all said it is good. I haven't heard one negative thing about them.

This assisted living is amazing!! My grandmother currently resides there. They have top notch care considering the pandemic going on, always informative on the health and safety of my grandmother. The staff are great especially with all the extra care needed, never do I feel that there is a shortage even if there is. The variety of meals they offer is great too. I have seen first hand all the extra care they give. The nurses and administrator are there throughout the day, come in in the evenings, and on nights just to make sure everyone is taken care of. You can tell that they love their jobs.

I would rate this facility 3 stars at best. We have witnessed a decline in care and caring over the last few years. While some caregivers are exceptional, the majority show very little concern for the comfort of the residents, and are, in fact rude. Residents are not even allowed to sit with friends of their choice at meals. Food is often subpar as others have pointed out. Sandwiches and chips are served far too often.

My mom is at Springfield Heights. The care that she receives has been very good. The room that we chose is big enough for her where she can move around. My mom is not very high functioning, so she does not participate in the activities. The food is adequate.

Oh my goodness, what a blessing this facility is for me and my family. My mom is unable to stay by herself and is not sick enough for a nursing home. This facility was a blessing sent by God and we are all so grateful. The staff is wonderful, all aspects of care is taken to make sure my mother's need are met. I would recommend this facility to all. It is clean and the furnishings are beautiful. Nothing but praise for everyone who works and takes care of mother. The Hunter Family

My mother entered the facility almost three years ago. She is 92 now and has considered this her home after the first few weeks. We have seen folks come and go here, but the feeling of family has always been maintained throughout in every area. I am certain she would no longer be with us if she hadn't moved in and become a resident, a part of the family at Springfield Heights. The name AmeriCARE Community is appropriate...their middle name should be "CARE" because that is what the residents receive from the heart.
