Spiders are in the rooms, killed 2 crawling up my leg while visiting a friend, then saw a sticky catcher in corner full of bugs and spiders. I would be alarmed if I had family that here.

Brookdale Goodlettsville was newer, so it was nice. They just didn't have the two-bedroom apartment that we needed. Their apartments were smaller, but they were still nice. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They also had a nice dining facility.

Brookdale Goodlettsville was smaller and had a little more homey feeling, but I just didn't feel the same connection with the staff to the residents. They knew them, but it just seemed less involved, maybe. It was a little older facility. I went in the evening and there was just not that much activity going on. They don't seem to have as much to offer the residents, just to sit in the hallway and do a puzzle. Again, it was evening. There weren't a whole lot of activities going on. I think people were winding down for bedtime, but it just didn't seem that active of a community.

Everybody at Brookdale Goodlettsville is very friendly. They have a lot of activities for the residents; it seems like they do a lot of stuff. They were doing exercises in their wheelchairs when I came in. They were doing exercises and they get them out, and then take them to different places, maybe to the grocery store. The tour was good, they showed me around everywhere. The person who showed me around was very knowledgeable and answered questions that I had. She's virtually just very accommodating. Their rooms were nice and spacious, and very accommodating with railings for disabilities or handicapped, and spacious closets. The facility makes a circle and right in the middle of it is like a garden, it was really pretty. It's nice, where people can go out, there are little benches, chairs and flowers and all kinds of stuff. It's kind of like a little courtyard in the middle; it's nice.

I did visit Brookdale Goodlettsville. It was very nice. It used to be a motel or a nursing home. It has long hallways, and that was the drawback for me. I walk with a walker, and it was a long way from the apartment that was available to the dining hall. The staff was really nice, but I was not as impressed with it. I was kind of looking at an apartment in a retirement tower, and Brookdale didn’t fit what I was looking for.

I called Kelly this morning to see if I could drop by and look through their facility and her reply "of course whenever you get here". I have never met the kind of people that are working there. The most friendly and well informed facility I've checked into. I was shown around introduced to other employees and yes even residents. I was invited into a residents apartment to see how things are arranged and the sweet resident was so pleasant she ask for me to come back and see her. I wasn't rushed, they answered all questions and there were smiles on employees and the residents. I'll repeat this again Sterling House was the most friendly and well informed facility which was so clean and really it was like going into someone's home and sitting down for a visit. I'm looking for a new forever home for my mom and I would recommend this facility over several I have inquired about.

I have a loved one that is currently residing at Sterling House in Goodlettsville. The staff is very welcoming and display compasion with the other residents. They have a great reputation within our community, and I have been very pleased with the love and care of my mother. When you enter the building you feel like a part of the family.

Sterling House is only 10 miles from where I live. Their rooms are smaller than the ones I saw from other facilities. Their staff has more longevity in terms of turnover. They have a separate building for their memory care people, which is just across the street from their assisted living.

Sterling House is a really nice place. My mom had a friend who was there for awhile. I just went there to visit her and I did see her room. Based on what I saw when I visited, I would give them a high rating. It was a high-dollar place but it was nice.
