We visited Asbury Place Maryville a couple of years ago. We thought it was very nice. It certainly covers all bases that allow independent living in the single homes, if you need more help a little later you can move into the assisted living unit, and then if you get sick and need to be in a nursing home, it provides that also. We were looking at all of it as much as we could. We looked at plans for new stuff. I'm legally blind, so I can't drive, and my husband is 86 years old, so the transportation situation was very good. It was things like that we were looking at as much as the independent home because we're both able to take care of the house. We have friends that live there. It's just about anything you could ask for. They were just so cordial and so nice. It was a very pleasant visit. The staff were very cordial. They answered all the questions that we had. We knew quite a bit about it before we went from our friends. They were very, very nice. I thought the independent living was a 5; they were very nice homes. Our friends said that the food is very good, although they cook in their home most of the time. But on occasion when I go over, the food is inexpensive. You just have to let them know that you want to eat the dinner meal or whatever, and they make arrangements for you to do that. It was like $4 or $5 for a meal, and in today's world, that's very inexpensive. They have lots of activities for the people to participate in like crafts, playing games, as well as shopping, going to the doctor, and going on excursions.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. MY FATHER WAS THERE THEY DIDNT GIVE HIM A SHOWER FOR A WEEK AND THAT WAS SIMPLY CAUSE I CALLED AND GOT MAD AND THEY LEFT HIS CLOTHES PACKED UP IN HIS LUGGAGE THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS THERE. THIS WAS DURING WHEN NO VISITORS COULD COME DUE TO COVID SO HE DIDNT FEEL WELCOME OR AT HOME AT ALL. THE NURSES ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. MY FATHER LEFT AFTER BEING THERE FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO GIVE HIM HIS COVID IMMUNIZATION RECORD SO HE CAN GET HIS 2ND SHOT IVE WAITED 2 MONTHS FOR IT. THEY ARE VERY UNPROFFESIONAL AND DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS.

My father is a resident of Asbury Place at Maryville. The cleanliness is good. However, whenever they need to go to the bathroom, it is hard to get anyone to take them. Like they'll say it will be in a few minutes, but then 20 minutes go by and nobody ever comes, so you have to go and look for them. Most of the staff members are friendly, but some of them are better than others. Some of them are really good, but some of them are not. The food could be better, too. It seems like a lot of times there's quite a few of the staff members there. Like one time my father needed to go to the bathroom, and I tried to find someone down the hall. There were four of them at the nurses station, and even their supervisor was in there with them. I told them that he needed to go to the bathroom, but it was like I was interrupting or annoying them. I stood there for ten minutes but nobody came out. Also, as far as interacting with the residents during activities, I haven't seen any of that.

My mother went in the hospital and right now she is in a nursing home for rehab at Asbury Place at Maryville. It has been very nice and I was a little surprised that it's very clean. She is in a room until she is better. She won't get to go out to the dining area. The room that she's in is pretty nice in the way it's laid out. The people are very friendly, and the ones taking care of her seem to be very caring. Her room is very clean and neat and not very small. They've been very helpful. I don't know what they serve but I have seen some of the trays that looked very good. I have seen pureed food that looked pretty good considering what it is. The staff was very nice and very impressive when they showed us where she would be going.

My grandmother to the rehab center, I was not pleased at all. She was either in bed or in a wheelchair. No activities to do, the sitting room was dark with nothing to look at or do. Took forever to get any answers or help from staff. Did not get proper care which lead to sores and infections. Very outdated and smelly. Did not pay attention to family laundry note, sent off laundry which we lost clothing, when it was not on the floor in her closet. Very bad place to send a loved one.

Asbury Place is in my town, and I have always known about it. We started off at assisted living, but my mother-in-law wasn't functioning well enough, so she is in a nursing facility right now, but when she gets stronger, maybe she can go back to assisted living. I was happy with it, but I hate that it was so expensive. The room was very nice, and I was happy with it, but the nursing home was kind of stinky. The assisted living did lots of activities. They play games, and they have church on Sundays. They have a lot of outings too. I was very pleased with the staff, but it needs to be not so expensive though.

The staff was very good at Asbury Place at Maryville. Mother has in there for rehab and we were very pleased with it. She is being taken well care of. Her clothes did not get mixed up with the other patients. She went home with all the stuff that she had over there. Her rehab was very successful and they continued to follow up with that after she went home and that really impressed me. The food seemed to be good and she ate well while she was there. They had some activities like bingo. They also have groups that came in and sang from different places. They also have church services on site.
