I visited this facility

We toured Atria Weston Place. We love the professionalism of the staff, the friendliness, and the cleanliness of the location. The room layouts were great. I don't think that we had any negative points to the whole visit. They got a schedule for keeping the seniors active. It appeared that they had services for food, as well as cleaning care and laundry. All of those seem to be meeting or exceeding our expectations. They took us through the dining halls and they showed us the menus, and we were impressed with the variety that was in there. They were in the process of getting a new sprinkler system installed.

I toured Atria Weston Place. It looks clean and nice, a pretty big place. The staff seemed friendly and thoughtful. They gave me a little gift bag when I left. It's a trail mix that was very good that they made themselves. I visited the rooms. They might have a gym or a library, but I don't remember seeing one.

The experience I had visiting Atria Weston Place was good. They were very cordial and professional. They showed me what I needed to see. The rooms were very clean and small, by my standards. The staff seem to be very, very competent. I enjoyed the visit. I saw the dining area and some of the residents in an activities room and they seemed to be enjoying their time there, too. From a distance, the dining room had a very pleasing atmosphere. It's a very nice place. The area itself seemed very pleasant.

My tour of Atria Weston Place was nice. I liked the person that gave us the tour. I thought it was a nice building, but it seemed more hospital-like than residence-like. The one that we chose seemed more like a place to live and less like a medical facility, and that was the main reason. The staff was very nice and very good. I think the rooms were a little bit smaller. The room was more like a one-bedroom. I saw an exercise room. I also saw some events planned. It was more like getting together and playing games.

The tour I had at Atria Weston Place was great. It was very clean, updated, and nice. The people were super friendly. The staff was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The units were small, but probably normal for that kind of facility. They were clean and sufficient. They had a game room and an ice cream parlor, but they had to shut it down for COVID, a nice fireplace common area with tables, and a nice dining room. They had games, activities, and exercises scheduled. They had transportation for them to get out, shopping, or doctor's appointments.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandparents are current residents of Atria. At first, we were optimistic. It seemed like a great option. However, as time went by, it was becoming apparent that the staff was not giving my grandparents proper care (no assistance with showering, getting dressed, medications, etc) even when we asked more than once. Additionally, rent and service charges have suddenly skyrocketed to a level we can no longer afford for seemingly no reason, and Atria is refusing to work with us. Do not send your loved ones here.

Provider Response

Hi Maisyn, Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns. It’s important to us. I have shared your comments with our Regional Vice President and Executive Director, who will be reaching out to your family again. If you'd like to personally speak further, please don't hesitate to contact us.

The staff members of Atria Weston Place were excellent. They gave us a tour, gave us a packet of information, and invited us to have lunch as well. The grounds were well-kept. It was just a really old facility that needed some updating and they had a very small kitchen and very small rooms.

I visited this facility

We went to Atria Weston Place Assisted Living. The main reason that I wasn't happy with that one is that it just felt more confined and smaller in the rooms. They were also carpeted, and I wasn't big on the carpet, but everything else was good there. The staff was excellent, everything else was very, very nice there. They had a lot of activities as well. They always have bingo going on. When I was there, they had something where they come in and set up things for the residents to be able to shop. And they had like little tickets they had earned during the week to be able to go and shop. So that was something that was kind of special. They had all kinds of crafts. I was pleased with what I saw. They had a chef. Very friendly people. Everybody was very inviting.

Atria Weston Place was nice. They had facilities for the people to sit outside and the inside looked very clean and didn't have an odor or anything like that. We checked out a shared bathroom room, and it was pretty small. We checked out a studio room and it had its own bathroom, and it would've probably been OK, but it just seemed a little small to me. Other than that, it was clean and it looked nice. Everybody was real friendly. The dining room and everything looked nice. The staff during the tour was friendly, gave us a lot of information, and showed us the rooms and the layout of the place. The ladies that were there that we talked to seemed happy there.

My father moved into Atria Weston Place. He is enjoying being there. He really enjoys the food. They have a great variety of different meals. He has a two-room apartment, and it's very nice. His comment was that it felt like he was home. He loves the staff. Everybody is friendly, outgoing, quick to answer questions, and helps if my dad needs it. They have activities every day, exercise, and yoga. They bring people in to entertain. They have trips planned. They have a barber/beauty shop and an ice cream parlor. They have a park-like setting all the way around the building.

Atria Weston Place was nice and clean. I was pleased with it. The lady that gave us the tour was energetic and had a lot of information that we needed to know. If someone could afford it, I recommend it. We toured the apartments and everything seemed to be clean and were good sized. We would have to furnish the room if we went there, which wouldn't be a problem. The dining area was nice and clean, too. They also have a spa and a little coloring section, where a group of residents were there and were in good spirits. It was a good little tour.

I went to Atria Weston Place. The tour was okay. However, they had a problem. When you walked in, it smelled like pee, and it didn't feel clean. The woman that showed it and everything said, "Oh, we're replacing the floors." It's carpet, and they let animals in there, and I don't know if it was animal pee or human pee, but it smelled when you walk in the door. The staff was very nice and very friendly. They had a patio and they had a fishpond in it. They had tables where you could play cards or do puzzles and that kind of stuff, but she didn't go into details of any activities.

My mom is going to move into Atria Weston Place. My tour was great. We have chosen them because of its affordability. Everybody seemed nice. I have nothing negative to say about it. It was nice. It looked well-kept. The parking lot looked freshly paved. I didn't see anything too strange. The person that was in charge of residents offered to have dinner for us to come down there. We had dinner there, and we looked at the rooms. The room looked nice. Nothing negative. It was just a small room. Nothing stood out at all. The food was delicious. The staff is all great.

I will be moving into Atria Weston Place. It's a very nice place. They cook and clean for you, but you do everything else for yourself. The people were absolutely wonderful, very nice and very accommodating. I walk with a cane and the director took me on the tour and she walked very slowly for me. She took me on the tour and then took me someplace to sit down. She went and got the next lady I needed to talk to. They got all the paperwork together for me and gave it to me so I could get started on it. They were so accommodating. It's amazing. As I walked in, I met several of the residents and they were all so nice. I think it's going to be a very good fit. It was very clean and very attractive. They've got what looks like antique or newer antique furniture in there and I love antiques. It's well taken care of, clean, and attractively arranged, and they have a picture of an iris hanging over the fireplace and that is a gorgeous picture. They help you remember which hallway to go to. It's arranged like a wagon wheel and each hall has a statue of a different breed of dog, so you can remember the breed of dog on the hallway that you're trying to get to and it helps you to keep from getting lost. I think that is so cool. It's perfect for me because I don't dress up. I'm a very relaxed sort of person. I wear blue jeans and there are other people there that wear blue jeans. It's a relaxed atmosphere, so it's perfect for me.

We looked at Atria Weston Place. We took a visual tour of the facility and amenities, we were introduced to some of the staff, and we had a professional review of what assisted living would provide and things like that. It was a good review and we liked it, but my wife doesn't want to go into assisted living at this point. It's a relatively small center with just a single level, and they had really pleasant staff.

My experience of touring Atria Weston Place was very good. The staff was very nice and showed us everywhere. We toured assisted living. They have cooks that will cook for the residents and provide them with other things, whatever they want. Some of the residents there were bubbly and seemed like they had a good outlook.

I had been to Atria Weston Place. They're very nice and I would recommend them. At the time, my husband was having issues with his bladder, so he had to have a catheter. Atria doesn't do catheters, so I would have taken him there if it had not been for that. My overall visit there was good. I was able to walk around and look into the room, but they didn't let me into the lobby because of COVID. Everything was great, it looked really good. I was able to look into the window but they wouldn't let me go in. The room was nice; we would have to take our own furniture. The girl's name was Clarissa, she's the marketing manager.

My Mom has been living at Atria since Jan 2018. We were very fortunate that they had a one bedroom apt available vs. just a efficiency. We also loved the location as it is only 2 miles from my house. We could not be more pleased. Prior to covid I was in and out many times a week. The staff have always been positive and it is obvious that they truly care about my Mom. When covid restrictions started, Atria's staff have communicated through each change. I felt always that my Mom was safe and that staff would let me know of any concerns they had pertaining to my Mom. Atria set up car, window and facetime visits so we could always stay connected. I would highly recommend Atria Weston at Lakebrook.

Everything looked nice at Atria Weston Place. The staff was very prompt and nice, but the layout was confusing to me. I can imagine what it would be to older person with memory problems. It had little areas going off to the side. One hallway was for the memory care and the hallways were numbered. At the end of the hallway, they had a big picture. It just seemed a little bit more to me like a nursing home. The hallways weren't as wide and bright. There were more people in wheelchairs than in the others I looked at. They had an ice cream parlor, an activity room, a TV room, and you could put your own decorations on your front door. The dining room seemed nice. They accept pets.

I moved to Atria. They work with you financially, and their staff is outstanding, but it's an older facility. It's a bit difficult for the handicapped, but they're trying to adjust to it. My room is small, but it has a mini kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The grounds are beautifully kept up. The activities are not what I've hoped because I'm not a bingo player.

What characterizes Atria Weston Place is what it offers that money cannot buy. The attitude - and honest feelings - of the service staff is not merely service, it is a heart-felt love for the residents being served.

I chose Atria Weston Place for my dad. There are several reasons why I like Atria. First off, the floor plan is much easier to get around. Dad has a lot of trouble walking, so any place that is wheelchair accessible is on top of our list, and Atria was definitely that. The staff was very friendly and talks to us all the time. It seemed like you are going to get along with the people that works there more than anywhere else we visited. Their food was very impressive. They have a really good chef. Overall, we got a better sense of the community that was there, and that is why I placed my dad here.

Atria Weston Place was in a more of an industrial type of neighborhood. There were small factories and small businesses around. It looked well kept, but it was older. They were very cordial. It was a very small and dark building, and I did not feel comfortable in it. But the people were very nice, and you could see that they work hard to make the place pleasant. The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, upbeat, and very helpful. They had a lot of programs going on, but they weren't as appealing as the others. Atria Weston Place would be an adequate place to stay, but their outside space was very limited, and they didn't have much in the way of a view. They can't do much; the rooms were very small. The best thing about Atria was the staff; at least the people I had talked to were excellent.

Atria Weston seemed like a nice facility. It was just an older facility with smaller rooms, so that wasn't really what we were looking for. The people who work there that took us on a tour and everything were very nice. They did have activities for the residents although I didn't see any going on when I was there. Mostly, I would say no I would not recommend it because it was a much older facility and it was just kind of dark in there.

I did go to Atria, and they did seem to be nice -- extremely nice. I did like the facility, but they were just not qualified to care for my mother. They actually went to the hospital to look in on her, and they told me later on the same afternoon that they would be glad to take her. I would have to pay for her upkeep there, but then I would also need to employ a 24/7 nurse to be there with her. They were not really set up to take care of her.

Atria Weston had a smaller atmosphere to it, and the staff immediately made connections with them, so she felt very comfortable there. They had two smaller dining rooms which was one big thing that we liked because my grandmother is kind of a shy person, and she has a smaller atmosphere to sit with people and eat instead of a big luncheon area.

We tried to get my wife to Atria, but they didn't have any openings at the time. Their food was excellent, and it was very personalized. They had to cater to a lot of people there that can't even eat a lot of food. They formulate whatever they cook them. I have eaten over there occasionally, and when I eat over there, anything I get is always very good, but it costs considerably more money to be there.

I had a lovely visit at Atria. The facility was too far from our house. The programs seemed to be more than adequate, but I didn't seriously consider it because of the distance. It was located next to the rehab center where my mother was. They have a very nice facility and the people were extremely nice. They showed me the rooms, the dining rooms, and the facilities. The rooms were very neat. I met with the office and got to meet with some of the residents. They had lots of nice things. If I were located on that end of town, I would certainly have considered them. They were very personable. Their director followed up with a letter and thanked me for my visit. They did have one really neat thing: they had a coffee bar, kind of like a Starbucks, so when you walked in, you had to go into the sitting area which was very warm. They had a fireplace, and you had the smell of fresh-brewed coffee. It was quite appealing to go in. They were extremely knowledgeable. They obviously were a very trained staff. They are able to answer questions, to give you the information, to talk to you about cost, housing, medical stuff, and different options of things that are available there. It did not appear to be like an institution. They were clean; they didn't smell. They were well maintained.

My parents wanted to go to Atria, but unfortunately, that's 45 minutes away from where we are. I would rate it the best of all. I would say superior, from their staff, management, nurses, everything. They absolutely were our first choice. They have it all. It's an older community, but it is very nice. I talked to people who lived there, and they said the food was excellent. No one ever had a complaint. The rooms were a good size. It was a bedroom and a living room, so it was perfect for what they wanted. They really enjoyed it. I thought it would work out great, but that was before my mom got really ill.

We visited Atria. The rooms looked like normal little apartments. The room that we actually saw had a bathroom in it and it was nice. The dining area was very nice and elegant. I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandmother disliked the Aria, probably because she needed to stay at a proper nursing home and not an assisted living facility. She was upset that they wouldn't bring her meals in her room, for example. I thought the Aria was nice; cozy common rooms, a big, pretty dining room, and an ice cream sundae bar always available. A bus was available to take residents to town, and a cute garden in front of the building seemed to be a common place for the residents to take walks, some of them using canes or walkers. The staff was patient with my grandmother, even letting us move in a lot of her personal furniture, like her recliner and TV. The only thing that seemed odd about it to me was that all these people who could walk and fairly take care of themselves were there at all, but I suppose if you could not drive anymore, it could be a good option. All the residents seemed happy and comfortable; I'm sure my grandmother would have loved it if she had been more able to take care of herself.

My mother has been a resident of this facility for a couple of years. She is a cooperative type when she wants to be - most of the time - but, when she doesn't want to be, she is a bear. The staff workers at this place continue to exhibit an unexpected level of patience and caring. She lets them have it pretty well at times - but, as professionals, they let it roll off their backs and deal with it the best they can. They have a physician on staff, which can be an extremely handy thing, and they are very attentive to her every need. She gripes some about the meals, but even she grudgingly admits that the food is occasionally pretty good. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for this kind of facility.

We were given a tour of the facilities, made very welcome and fed lunch. The facilities have everything we looked for in terms of space for a couple living together, an Alzheimer's unit, if needed and the staff seemed very professional, yet caring and warm. The schedule of events was impressive and the menu for meals appropriate and adequate, including concern for my wif's diabetes and food allergies. If they have space, we will strongly consider a placement there when needed in the not too distant future.

This is a great facility in almost every way. The residents have a great activities program that seems to have something for everyone. When my aunt was admitted to this facility, the physical therapy staff was all so good to her. My aunt was very timid about trying to walk again after her hip surgery, and I must admit she is not the most cooperative patient. The staff here took their time with her, and encouraged her in the way she needed to be encouraged in order to get her up and walking again. They were not pushy or rude; they knew just the right buttons to push to get her going again. The food isn't the best in the world, but that's a small sacrifice for all the great care they gave my family. I'd recommend this facility to anyone.
