I had a friend that had just moved into Hearthside Senior Living, and I visited with her. I haven't tried the food but my friend said it was good, and she's very picky. They did not have any internal court for the residents to wander in, and go sit in, or even look out at. They have more activities than my friend will want to do. They have amenities like a salon, and the place was very clean. The cost is astronomically high, but most of these places cost extremely high.

We have chosen Hearthside Senior Living. We got our names on the waiting list there. We met with the manager of the property. He gave us some brochures, and told us all about the property, the cost factors, and so forth. It is a nonprofit, so the cost factor is considerably lower than in other areas. I think they have 30 units in total. They have two two-bedroom units, and the rest of them are three-bedroom in a gorgeous layout with two car garages, a large great room, a kitchen, and a living area. Then on the particular unit, we went into was a screened-in patio out back and nice large bedrooms. The master bedroom and master bath are good size. The kitchen is a good size and well-appointed. They maintain everything except your washer and dryer. The floorplan is just gorgeous from the inside out. All units are occupied right now, but they have an agreement with one of their people to let you come in and look at the facility. You can go into the assisted living facility and you can eat your three meals there or you can get them and take them home. They've got game rooms that you can participate in. It's top-notch. All of the people were very friendly at the assisted living facility where the office was.

My aging grandmother stayed at Hearthside for several years and has since moved on to a nursing home. The times I went to visit her I was always happy to see such a caring and friendly staff. After I had gone once they remembered me and my family each and every other time I had gone. The entry lobby has a piano and some exotic birds in a glass enclosure which my kids loved, but I think the residents did too as my grandmother wanted to make sure she showed it to us. They also are located directly across from a city park which was perfect for my grandmother who loves to walk. There is a walking track around the park so this was perfect. They keep a very active calendar so that's nice for those that are more mobile and desiring of activities. Overall, I was very happy with this place.

Upon my arrival at this facility I was greeted by many smiling faces. The staff was very professional and friendly. I even felt like I had just walked into my grandmothers house. The patient I was there to see was very happy. She appeared very well taken care of. She was changed if she had soiled herself very promptly. She was taken to do crafts while I was there and said it was one of her favorite parts of the week.
