Prosperity Pointe is excellent and has very caring staff. It hasn't been that long since my mother moved in there, but from what we've seen so far, she gets excellent care. We feel very safe with her there. So far, I think everything is good. They did Easter-egg coloring, and they had an Easter service. They do outings to take people out to local areas, and they have some exercise activities, too.

We chose Prosperity Pointe for my father because they were more reasonable than a lot of the others financially. I was really impressed with the director. She took us on the tour personally. We went on a Saturday and she came in to take us on the tour. She was very respectful of the residents, like she stopped what she was doing and spoke to them and helped. She had a good rapport with the families that were visiting. We also liked the staff. They seemed very kind. It was clean. She had suggested, any time you want to pop in just to see, you can, just visit, and read the reviews. They were helpful in a lot of ways and they seemed pretty sincere. The place wasn't as fancy as some of the others, and it's a smaller community, too. The rooms were small, but they have what my father needs. The single room was relatively small, but it had a bathroom, and it had enough space for a furniture. For him, it was OK; for somebody else maybe looking for something a little more upscale, it may not work, but for us, it's what we needed. They have a little movie room. They have a nurse practitioner that comes in weekly if you want to sign up with her, so that's helpful. They had a couple living rooms and a crafts room, and they had an outside courtyard where people could walk around, but also they could garden and hang out and things like that.

We went to Prosperity Pointe. It's great because it's all included in the price whereas, at the other facility, every step is a cost. At Prosperity Pointe, your med pass, if you need more care like bathing and stuff, it's all the same price. Whatever price they give you is what the price will be. It was an old hotel building, so they transformed it into assisted living. The rooms aren't perfect. It's a walk-in shower with just a little lift, which is fine. It was big enough, and it was nice. They had a lot of activities and they even have a bus that takes them out, but because of COVID, they haven't been able to do that. They play games, and they got a craft room. They have a little activity room, and they have a community room where people could sit and watch TV. The staff was very nice. It's an older place, so it's not as big or luxurious as the others, but it is affordable.

Prosperity Pointe is a hotel that has been turned into a senior living center. All the rooms, I believe, are like a hotel room. They would furnish it or you could bring your own furnishings for the one room. They have a little kitchenette, but all your meals will be taken in the community. We just found it to be a lackluster kind of a place. The staff was very congenial and knowledgeable about the property and very helpful to us. It was just that the property was not anything that we felt we would like to live in unless we were unable to pay for other places. They told us they had a lot of activities. They had a central dining area. I didn't see any outdoor amenities. We were not shown anything other than just the landscaping. It was a small hotel or motel turned into a senior living and it's owned and operated by a doctor.

One of my friends' husbands was at Prosperity Pointe, so I had been there for Thanksgiving last year. It's the place that he wound up going because it was a VA facility. They didn't do virtual tours live because of privacy issues. I know somebody who is there now also. They are very well organized, very caring, and very efficient. They're taking videos of the spouse during this COVID so the person at home knows what's going on. It looks nice enough, but it's not fancy. It's not as pretty as the other place, but the caring that I know for a fact of the people who work there is excellent.

I visited Prosperity Pointe. I wasn't happy with it at all. It was just not homey and it was kind of dark, so I wasn't pleased with it at all. I only saw one person and that was the owner's brother. He was OK, but I wouldn't put anybody there. The unit wasn't a nice room. The furniture was kinda beaten up. I just wasn't pleased with it at all about anything. I visited the whole building. I went into a room and talked to this guy and looked around a little bit, but that's it. Their location was all right. It was in West Knoxville, which is OK. I didn't see any outdoor spaces. I mostly just talked to him about prices and things, and then that was it. I never did call them back.

My mother was lovingly cared for by the Memory Care staff. We could not have asked for better care. The rooms are very adequate for a variety of care needs. The staff worked diligently to keep her comfortable, even making custom milkshakes when she didn’t want to eat.

My Dad lives at Prosperity Pointe. It is a joy to always see friendly faces interacting with him. Before moving into Prosperity Pointe, my Dad was not eating well or consistently. Now he enjoys three meals a day with his new friends. I have eaten dinner with him several times and the food is both nutritious and delicious. I have complete peace of mind and feel extremely comfortable with all the staff; He receives excellent care from the nurses and caregivers. Every time I visit, he and his room and bathroom are tidy and clean. He stays busy participating in all the activities and frequently goes on outings with the group. I am very happy with Prosperity Pointe and the care they give my Dad.

My dad lived in this facility for a week and a half. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of allowing Dr. Nuyen to oversee his medications. My dad has dementia and had recently begun being more agitated and aggressive. Dr. Nuyen overmedicated him so much that he became incapacitated. He was unconscious, developed aspiration pneumonia, and ended up in the hospital for two weeks. He went from being a physically strong man to being bedridden in less than two weeks. I wasn’t sure if he would survive. After five weeks of hospitalization and rehab, he recovered enough move to a different memory care home, but his experience at Prosperity Pointe caused a permanent setback. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. If you do choose to leave a loved one here, please do not allow the Nuyens to oversee the medication. You must have an outside doctor monitor it.
