My mother has moved into Deane Hill Place. It's a small community. It has about six buildings and it has several levels of care. If they happen to progress in their illness, they can move them into different levels of care as needed when they get older. And the amenities are very nice. They have good food and wonderful staff that are very friendly and very helpful to the residents that live there. They have their own rooms, and they bring their own furniture, and that makes it feel more like home. They have several different options for rooms. My mother has a studio. They have some exercise activities that they can do. They have walks that they do. They take them out for shopping from time to time. They have get-togethers like luaus and barbecues. They do all sorts of things to keep them busy and happy. There are courtyards in each of the buildings. There's also a beauty salon in each of the buildings. There are different libraries in each of the buildings as well.

I'm in Deane Hill Place and it is nice. Some of the people are really good, but the food is bad. The best things are the layout, the grounds, and the room size. The regular hires are great, but the add-on help from the agency is not that good. They have a courtyard.

I think Deane Hill Place was a little more upscale than the other place I toured. They had a separate building for memory care. They had to put in a code to get in. It was very secure. They had places that the people could go out into a park and sit just with the building around and they couldn't go anywhere. I think that was a wonderful, wonderful place. We saw both assisted living and memory care, but mainly we spent our time looking at the memory care. The memory care part was just one level, and I thought it was great. It was very easy to get around in and it would be very good for people who have memory problems. It was a great facility, and they have kept in touch. They wanted to know right after I visited them what I thought about their facility.

We're looking at Deane Hill Place as our first choice and it's our only choice at this point. We had a really good interview with a gentleman who knew everything about the place. He explained many of the features that are there, which met our needs perfectly and memory care was a part of it. We're thankful that all the meals are provided and that there is assisted living offered, which I would need, and also with an extended memory care unit, it seemed to be a perfect match for our needs. The room was adequate for our needs. It was spacious enough for us to adapt to an institutional setting. It was more of a studio with an extra bedroom. They have multiple types depending on what you want. They have many services that are offered on the location that a senior adult would need. It seemed more than adequate. They had some very nice gardens, outdoor activities, and indoor activities. They have a social director who plans outings and all kinds of things.

Deane Hill Place is very attractive. It has a number of different outdoor areas with a lot of green trees. It certainly doesn't look like an institution. The person who assisted me was very professional and knowledgeable, and at the same time empathetic. He had very good questions, and answered my questions very well. I did not eat the food, but I saw the menu. One of the things I liked was they had a choice of two different meats or main servings. So for each meal, there are choices; I like that. I saw that they had a list of activities every day. There's a monthly calendar of activities. I could see that there were activities there that my sister would be interested in, and then some that she wouldn't be. I thought that was good. You know, every day had choices.

I went to Deane Hill Place. It's a very desirable living area for assisted living and probably memory care. I was shown every aspect of the units, and they're clean and comfortable, or at least sufficient for a patient. They're light and bright, they have good access to views of the outdoors, and for some they even provide little patios. All that is wonderful; the activities are just a bonus. The calendar of activities provides the seniors there with many things to do, lots of people to connect with, and a caring staff, some of whom have been on board for a long time. I thank Talbot and the tour in general for a good experience.

My visit at Deane Hill Place was good. It was my second choice. The staff was excellent. She was knowledgeable, very friendly, and polite. In fact, she has followed up several times even though she knows that I went somewhere else, just to check on my husband. They gave me a bag of cookies. It's an older building.

We chose Deane Hill Place for my parents because of the size of the room and the amenities. The staff is great, and my parents love the food. They have daily activities and they play cards and bingo, but right now, they're restricted because of COVID. They have outside activities, but they're not doing them right now. I would recommend them because of the level of care that they're providing my parents. It's great.

My dad is at Deane Hill Place and so far, so good. I was able to go there when admitted. His room is just a basic room with a bathroom and a sink. The staff seems really nice and the place looks very clean. They have activities but I have not seen the schedule yet. They have a salon, a TV, a fireplace, and he has a TV in his room.

Deane Hill Place has a facility that tries to recreate the character of the person. They have a simulation of kitchens for those who cook, but because it's a memory care home, it's not a real kitchen. They have them reflect on what they used to do. They also have workspaces for gardening for those who like to go out or used to garden. They ask for a history of what the person did and their hobbies, so they may do it during their activities time. They do many things to make sure that the residents keep their dignity and character. They also have courtyards for games. However, my father may have benefited more if he were in the assisted living section versus the memory care section because they treat them more independent in the memory care unit. There needs to be more interaction and they aren't as social. I love his apartment. It has a very spacious room and big windows. I like that there are rails in the restroom that you can hold on to and he has a choice to sit or stand in his shower. It's not a step-in shower, but an open floor with some drainage. They also have buttons in their rooms and the showers, so if there's anything that they need, they can quickly press the button and the staff will come running.
