My father is at the Lexington Medical Center - Carroll Campbell Place Alzheimer's Care. It is specialized in caring for people who have Dementia and Alzheimer's and they have a high staff-to- patient ratio. The facilities were renovated and up-to-date and the care is above average. He has been there for 2 months now. Their facility is up-to-date and modern. They do one-on-one work in helping with physical activities to help him retain strength. They get him dressed, and he's always clean and neat. They wash his clothes too. This has not been the case for every home that he's been in. This has been the best home as far as making him look presentable, and neat, and adding value to his life. The food seems to be good but it could probably be institutional. It is private pay, it is expensive, and they do not accept Medicaid. This is the fifth home dad has been in over the last three years, and it is by far the most expensive, but it also has been the best.
