My husband moved to Stratford Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's wonderful having him there because I don't have to worry about him getting up, wandering away in the middle of the night, and not hearing him. The staff was very nice. They go out of their way to help the residents. They're all very friendly. It has two big bay windows, one on the side and one in the front. The room is huge with a large bathroom. They have an outside area where they can go out and sit that is locked down so you don't have to worry about them. They have a doctor who comes in whenever they need them.

After a tour of the facility, the complex was very clean, the residents were well cared for and the staff was very polite and caring. Residents have the opportunity of bringing in furniture of their own. Physicians and nurses and therapists come daily from what I was told. Activities are weekly, and the Director was very knowledgeable. They don't take Medicaid.

My husband was a resident for several months. The facility is very nice and the rooms are spacious. The staff tried to be helpful, however, I felt they were understaffed. My daughter and I had to shower my husband often and clean his room. Once, I waited 20 minutes to get help. They took my husband via ambulance to the ER twice without my knowledge, after falls. The only reason I knew of his ER visits was because he still had a hospital bracelet on. Most of the time, I felt the food was substandard. Activities were pretty good.

My sister will move into Stratford Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. The size of the room mattered to her, and so she would have a room large enough to function in. She will have her own small table so that she can do her puzzles in her room and things like that. She will also have a private bathroom. The amenities were a large dining room, so everything was spread out. The activities are kind of the same everywhere unless you're spending $6,000 a month. But in our price range, I think we're getting some good assistance. The people working there seemed attentive, caring, and personable.

My wife and I have been residents for about 1 year. We moved from a large home to a room that has proven to be comfortable for us. The staff has been very friendly and professional and always able to assist us when needed. Although there are many activities such as bingo, painting, holiday decorating, music, board games. The amenities consist of a small library, theater room, conference room and a chapel. The dining room is nice and the food has been very good.

My sister moved into Stratford Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. The facility is relatively new, which was good. The staff members are pretty good. My sister says the food is good. They offer activities. My sister hasn't participated in anything off-site, but she likes puzzles and anything to stimulate the mind. She's got more than enough to do there. My sister has a microwave and a fridge in her room. They had no pool. They have a lounge area, a game room, a cafeteria, and movies.

Stratford Place Assisted Living & Memory Care was nice. However, they had the studio style rooms, so once I saw that, I wasn't as interested anymore, even though that would be the closest one to where I live. Compared to where my mom and dad are staying now, the rooms seemed small. If you had just one person in a room, it would probably be OK, but for two people in one of those rooms, they would probably be a little tight. It's a fairly new community. It was nice and it was clean, but it didn't have what my parents were looking for. The staff seemed OK. They're very knowledgeable. They had a salon, and they had the shuttle service to appointments and stuff. They were doing manicures that day when I was there.

The staff at Stratford Place was interactive. The people were not just sitting in their wheelchairs. It was a clean facility. The staff was interacting with the people that were there, though not quite as interactive as you would see over at the other location. The good thing about it is it was a small facility. When we walked in the memory care unit, a lady was singing a gorgeous song, and they were all interactive and sitting around and listening to her. The director there knew the people's names. He was new, but he already knew them. We started with assisted living and then we went up to the memory care. You could probably go into assisted living and then later get to memory care because they had the capability to work on it because it's a small area. They had interactive games. They had an activities director who was very nice, and she had a family member that was there, so to bring your own family in there is a plus. They had activities to do on a routine basis. The residents were making door wreaths and stuff. They had a lady helping them with that activity. They were doing activities, which is good because with memory care you want them to be doing something, even if they can't do that, they can glue a flower to a wreath, and that's good. The rooms were nice, but not as nice as the other location.

We chose Stratford Place for my mother because of location, the fact that it's a brand-new facility, and because I know friends whose family members are in there. The rooms are very nice, brand new, and you can choose if you want it to be furnished or not. The staff member during the tour was very friendly and very informative. The dining area was very nice and almost like fine dining.
