I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad stayed at Yardley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. They did therapy as best they could because his therapy was so limited. They had activities, and he went into the cafeteria one time. The food was good. It wasn't bad at all. My son-in-law is a fireman in New Jersey, and he went into many nursing homes to bring people to the hospital, he said it was one of the cleanest he'd ever seen, and I agree, it was very clean.

My father was admitted here on thanksgiving night for iv antibiotics subsequent to a bone infection and pt rehab. He declined steadily while there, staff almost NEVER answered the phone when we called, and our concerns were not addressed. Physician orders were ignored. He is know fighting for his life in the hospital with pneumonia and foot ulcers acquired under their care. One positive thing were the pt/ot team who seemed to be the only people noticing or concerned about his decline.

They are understaffed, leave residents in their excrement, claim residents who are not ambulatory fall on their own. My grandmother was a resident for 3 days and on day 2 she "fell" yet, she was unable to walk on her own so, she would have fallen in their care and they never got her medical treatment.

My husband is currently at Yardley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. He's being very well taken care of. They're on top of everything. I have no complaints. They're taking care of him, changing him, and feeding him when I'm not there. The nurses and the aides are great. I have never seen one of them get nasty to a patient. He's in a room with another patient, but he's OK. The room is good. They have a dining area, but they bring his food to his room. They have activities there, like Bible studies and movies. I would recommend them.

Yardley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center was very clean and very well decorated. The reception area was very friendly and it felt safe. The staff were all very professional and very helpful. They have a lot of different activities every day. My husband was only there a few days, so I don't recall exactly all the activities, but I know they play bingo, they have movies, they play cards, and they even have prayer time. So, they cover a lot of things. There's always something going on. They fed most of their residents in their rooms, but the food was astronomically good. Always. It was something very palatable. It was very good and the other thing was if you got it on your plate and you took a bite and said, "I don't like this.", you just make a little phone call and they bring you something different. They were very accommodating. They did well with the residents when he was there.

I wrote a review after I was released from Manor care.I would be remiss if I did not mention the Lady Doctor I had in this facility. Her name is Dr. Fox.She was so kind and understandinding to my situation, and took time to reassure me of ALL of the insecurities and questions that I had.She actually took the time to sit with me during my time when I was a when I really was not understanding like I should have. She is an excellent Doctor, and Manor care should be proud that they have her in the facility!! Thankyou sooo much,Dr. Fox! Sincerely,Cynthia E. Genis(released on June 11th,2021,....and feeling GREAT!!!!)

We were very impressed with staff while my mother was there. Greg and Neal were wonderful working for heartland hospice. They kept me informed at the end. The only complaint I have is the hospice nurse assigned to my mom never had an in depth conversation with me. She called to express her condolences and sUd she didn’t expect my mom to pass so quickly shame on her

negligent nursing care. Poor example of how nursing care should be. No one answers call bells or checks in. They have a very high fall record- the short time my family member was there, I witnessed a few. They have no compassion or care. Their rehab is poor. They don’t work on the patients enough and they just push people out the door when they aren’t ready.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I had a private room for short term care. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed was a hospital type adjustable bed with a special and comfortable top for healing my broken ankle which had 3 plates in it. I lived in an apartment in Bensalem and my apartment was on the third floor. When I broke it I couldn't get down the steps to get to the hospital. I called an ambulance service which I looked up for pricing. They could take me down the steps to get taken to Frankford Torresdale. I found I had to get plates in my ankle. Frankford took great care of me and I had to be transferred to a facility that had Physical /therapy. I had been to Manor Care at Oxford Valley before to stay when I had my hips replaced both times I had the most excellent Occupational and Physical Therapy group. There is none better than Manor Care. The staff is professional - helpful, nice, you feel loved and cared for while getting stronger and stronger. When I left I had made friends with a couple of the other women there and stayed in touch with them. Please if you need care go to Manor Care Oxford Valley you won't be disappointed and your family can visit 24-7 and so can your dog too.

The staff was rude. My Mother was loosing her hair because of her cancer treatment and they were Aggravate that her hair was everywhere. It was dirty and an old run down facility. Broken furniture you name it. The staff just hung out at the nurses station talking or on their cell phones. Needless to say we pulled my Mother out of there. Do not agree to be sent there or allow your loved ones to be sent there.

I was paralyzed on my right side. Now I can walk again. The therapy department here is second to none. I feel all the therapists took a hand in my rehab and worked as a team. They involved my aides also. I can’t recommend the treatment at Manor Care in stronger terms. They are the best. Everyone at this facility made me feel like I mattered and took interest in my healing.

My mother was in Manorcare Health Services before. It's wonderful, the staff was very cooperative, the nurses were very cooperative, and my mom had some issues with language. They always called me, they knew my mom's needs, and they took very good care of her. When mom was in short-term care, they took her to the activity room, to listen to music, and to do activities with colors and yarn. They always asked Mom to come to activities, but she lost interest when she was there for long-term care. The long-term area strongly smelled of urine.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Until recently, my mother was a resident at Yardley ManorCare, and we moved her to another facility nearby (in Newtown) because she was being attended to so poorly at ManorCare. My mother rarely had much of an appetite but would eat if she received assistance with eating the meals. However, with the exception of one wonderful nurse's aide who helped her eat when she was on duty, the usual practice was to place a tray of food in front of my mother and then abandon her — picking up the tray of untouched food an hour later. This lack of attention was reflected in every aspect of her care, and finally her dehydration forced me to move my mother to another facility where she is now receiving much, much better care and medical attention.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE'S HERE! My father was there for hospice and we had repeated issues, I was in constant communication with his doctors and nurses, and everytime I cam to visit I had to scold the Managers. Every trip something of his was lost and not replaced- important things like his glasses!!! Even blankets that we wrote his name on. His roommate was the only way I learned my father's buzzer to call for help was broken for THREE DAYS despite his elderly roommates complaints. It was a terrible position to be in, once he was there, and we realized they weren't as attentive as they should be, he was too ill to move. I hate them for making an already stressful and painful time more difficult than it should have been. I will give credit to a few very caring nurses who I thank god for every day because they took extra care in looking over my dad, giving me great relief.

My mother is in Manorcare. It is very nice, and they are treating her very well. The staff is very friendly. It is like a modern, family-type environment. I chose it because it is close to home. It is a very nice facility that I will recommend.

Might have been ok in 2012; but they have gone down hill. The problem is people. Unless they can get a staff that is motivated to care for people - they will definitely fail with a bad reputation. Very difficult to regain a good reputation! I feel sorry for my friend. He cannot wait to get out of there.

ManorCare Health Services really never came when you called them, and my roommate ended up in tears for two hours. We left there because it had such bad services. I would never recommend them, even to my worse enemy. I think you would also end up having accidents in your bed because nobody would come. I would describe the people working there as being nonchalant -- I don’t think they care. There must be more staff because they just didn’t have enough people on staff to take care of the number of people that they had in the facility. The food was horrible, I actually lost so much weight there that my doctor started worrying. As far I am concerned, I am still thinking about going to the state to have them looked at more closely. It was pretty dilapidated -- they needed a lot of updating. I know there was staff for rehabilitation services there -- they were dedicated and they were good. They were the first people to get me up and walking as I had three consecutive strokes.

My husband is getting very good care at ManorCare . His physical therapy and occupational therapy is excellent. It is a good place. It's clean and it does not have an odor. His room is bright and airy. He likes that he can see the main entrance from his room. He does not have much of an appetite but food is good. If I have a question they answer it. I'm not there all day, I go for a few hours in the afternoon. I trust the people taking care of him. His therapists are very good.

I visited this facility

Upon first arriving at the facility I noticed how clean everything was. There didn't appear to be any loose debris around the room. Also, my grandmother was dressed in her clothes. Her condition didn't allow her to dress her self so the staff must have and it was good to see that they did. Also, the staff was able to give us an update on her condition when we simply asked a nurse about her. The nurse didn't need to look through charts or files or think about who we were talking to, it was clear that she was familiar my grandmother, that was very comforting. The food was delivered promptly and a staff member assisted my grandmother with her eating.
