My mother was a resident for 5 years. My sister's and I were there consistently. She was always well taken care of and loved the staff. When she passed away in January, they cried with us. We have peace knowing that they loved her as we did. Kathy Y.

I toured Heritage Manor Senior Living. The managers were very nice and polite. It seemed like a friendly environment. It was a reasonable cost for assisted living if you're looking for assisted living. They were willing to work with you on your needs and desires, and they were very friendly. The environment was just OK, it wasn't very bright and colorful, but there were people out and talking, and socializing. The residents were very nice. But we didn't like the idea of my mother sharing a room and that's what we would have done. How much we could have afforded was she would have been sharing a room, but the spaces were nice if you like that. Each room had its own bathroom and things like that. Their price range was right around 2800 a month. It reminded me of dorm life.

My mother was in Heritage Manor for less than a month for respite care. The owners "say" the staff does rounds every 30 minutes, but my mom made it clear to us (her family) that was not happening. We also witnessed this to be true anytime we visited, no one would be coming to check on her. I was there for hours at a time during my visits. I had several conversations with the staff and also 4 days before my mom was taken to the hospital for an unsupervised fall, I had a conversation with the owner Kim stating her staff was NOT coming to help my mom to the rest room, and if my mom continued to go unsupervised, there would be an accident. In the end, we had to leave Heritage Manor because my mom's injuries from her fall were too extensive for her to return to personal care. Please be weary of a personal care home that does NOT have a call bell system, and has no documented proof how frequently the residents are checked on. Also I've placed several calls into the owner to discuss with her, and she will NOT return my calls. I wonder why?

We chose Heritage Manor for my mom because it fits her needs and they provide more personal care. They have enough people to help, plus an in-house doctor. Moreover, the price is in my mother's budget. The place is like a residential apartment in the way it's set up. The food is pretty good and most of it is homemade; the owner of the place does a lot of cooking.

My Dad was a resident here. I visited him frequently and always found the staff to be kind and compassionate. It was very clean - didn't have that nursing home smell, and I knew he was safe. Not only did they take wonderful care of my Dad, they were very supportive of our family at a difficult time. Thank you, Kim, Ed and staff. There are so many end of life challenges, and you really make a difference!

My mother is in Heritage Manor. I do not have any problems with it. It is very good because of the care, and my mother says that the food is fine. They have activities that I participate in with my mother. She has therapy and everything she needs there.
