My father is at The Residence at Whitehall. We had some issues coming in, but everything seems to be working out now. The layout is excellent. They need to improve on their communication. They just hired all new staff, but when we first came in, it was a little confusing. Now that they have all new staff, things seem to be moving smooth. They are short staffed. The food is really good. It's an excellent facility. The guys can shoot pool, they have a men's club, which is great for my dad, and they have a firepit where people can sit outside. They have so many things, and they seem to be pretty specific. The activities director seems to be doing what the residents want, which is good. We chose this place because of the appearance. It's updated, clean, and neat, and also my dad knew someone who lived there.

The Residence at Whitehall looked perfect. It looked like an excellent place. I would love to live there myself someday. It looked comfortable, high-end, beautiful, serene, and cozy. It does look like a wonderful place to live. All the staff was polite, attentive, and helpful. They gave me their full attention and put their full effort into showing me around and answering all my questions. The menu looked very nice.

I went to The Residence at Whitehall in Pittsburgh. The appearance was very nice, it was very clean, the atmosphere was pleasant. There weren't too many residents out but it was a pleasant experience. They showed me a one-bedroom and a studio layout of the apartments. The one-bedroom was a little bigger, and I would like to have a one-bedroom. The studio was a little smaller, but I could see how you could fit everything in there. I wanted to take a desk with a computer with me though, and I don't know if there's room for that in the studio. I spoke with Emily there, she was very nice, she answered all of my questions. I even asked for a copy of the contract, and she's supposed to email that to me so I can review them at my own time. I did not get to sample the food, but the dining area had plenty of room for the residents. They also have a bistro there, like a little café you can go to if you want. The rooms have a kitchenette, so they have a microwave and a sink if you want to heat something for yourself. They don't have stoves but they have a refrigerator. I also saw a pool table in the building. I would consider it, but their studio starts at $2,450, while all the other places start at less than that.

The staff here is amazing! They truly care about their residents. The best part about this community is that they have both independent living and personal care. my mom was in the independent living but needed more assistance so they were very accommodating and helped move him up to their personal care floor. It was hard for me and my family but the staff made the transition very smooth. I cant say enough good things about this community

Mom spent a month at the Residences of Whitehall as a trial. Some staff were not responsive and mom was often ignored. Activities were stopped due to an aide getting Covid 19 and residents were required to stay in rooms. Thankfully mom is okay. Food was often cold. Mom became very unhappy and came home after the 30 day trial. We learned we had to pay another 30 days because they required 30 day notice. This was not clearly explained by the administrators.

I visited here before everything was closed. I was looking for myself because I was tired of having the upkeep on my house since my husband passed away. The residence at Whitehall was beautiful and it looked like a resort on the inside. Everyone was so friendly and I looked at a one bedroom apartment on the second floor and one on the third floor. I will visit again soon when I decide to move.

The Residence at Whitehall was nice. The staff seemed very nice. Their independent living area was what we were looking for with 1 and/or 2 bedrooms. It was very spacious and seemed very safe. They allowed pets, too.

When I took a tour of The Residence at Whitehall there were no aides or nurses available. They're new so they only had about ten residents. Their dining room wasn't complete so they're bringing food in from the outside. So it was not a place I wanted to put my mother, because she won't receive any help. Their rooms were not outstanding, but nice. They have three meals a day, but they're not making their own food. They said they're working on that. Since their dining room was still being remodelled, it felt empty and cold. I only met one person when I went on the tour. I didn't see any medical person.

I like the layout of The Residence at Whitehall. Since I'm one of the new members to come in there, I got my apartment at the back of the building, which is good because you don't get the traffic noise on Route 51. It's also pet-friendly. I'm moving in on May 30. Shelly has been very helpful in telling me what I need to do ahead of time, so I'd give her a 5. I had a couple of lunches there and enjoyed them.
