I visited this facility

I went to Park Creek Place - MC. It's very beautiful. It's clean. The staff was very kind with the tour that we had. It was a very nice place. They have double rooms, single rooms, whatever you can afford. That was the first place I had visited with my sister. They had different things like art and cooking and a lot of different amenities for the residents. They had outdoor seating so that you could sit outside. It's very secure where they can't walk off or anything like that. You can't just leave the property without someone unlocking the door, which I thought was very nice and safe.

Provider Response

Your visit and kind words put a big smile on our face. We’re glad you feel the same. Thanks for all your positive comments, and we look forward to seeing you again. Please stop by or call with questions.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I like them very much. My wife seems adjusted to it well. There are not a whole lot of people there. It's the right size for her, and they are taking good care of her. I see her every day, so I see what goes on there. They take good care of the patients there. They have a lot of activities for them. She requires a bit more than most because she can't walk. She hasn't talked about the food. She mostly eats everything. It's rare, but every once in a while, she doesn't eat all of her food and she doesn't have a huge appetite. I think they have nutritionists working with them. They're not given steaks and pork chops and stuff like that, but they have beef and gravy. It's not that they're not getting meat, but they're not acting like it's a restaurant. The room had to be modified because she forgets she can't walk. One morning, she tried to get out of bed and she fell, so they rearranged the furniture because she hit her head against the nightstand. They repositioned the bed so that she can't fall out. My kids and I were going to buy her a fancy hospital bed that has rails on each side, but they said you're not allowed to have them in this particular place. We have it fixed up with the wall on one side and I bought a restraining device on the other side of the bed so that if she tries to get out, she has something to hold on to. It's in the same position that a rail would be. Her room is good. There's plenty of space for hanging up her clothes, diapers, extra bedding, and things like that inside the closet. As for the clothes that she can wear, it's adequate. I like the way the building is laid out, people can get exercise, can walk around and when the weather is good, they have a courtyard. I take my wife out into the courtyard in good weather and we sit in the sun. She has a roommate and one of the reasons I wanted her to have a roommate is because she tends to fall. She participates in singing and she did do some painting. They have them often and they have skilled people leading the activities and making them interesting. They have memory care and personal care and my wife is in the memory care section, but it's one building. They have brick walls inside. It looks like a house the way they decorated the inside of the building. It is modern. There's only one floor.

I visited this facility

It was newer-looking. I saw a lot of residents out and about in the common areas and they were watching TV together, while some were up in the activities area. I met the activities director and the nursing staff. They showed me how they distribute their pills and everything. They have a list if mom needed assistance getting lifted from bed to her wheelchair and they have all of that available. Plus memory care in the building next door. They had four different dining areas. I met the chef and I was very impressed with him. Their menu had a lot of variations on it. It seemed a lot better than what my mom is getting. Right now, she needs some of her food pureed and the chef said that it's not a problem as he got quite a few people that needed their food to be diced or pureed as well. I talked to Matt and he was new, but he was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about the tour (and was not pushy). He was very thorough. Showed me three different types of rooms and listened to everything that I was requesting and tried to make sure that everything would be a right fit. They hold a mass, they have rosary, different games, and they take them on rides. They have a committee where the residents get to choose what is working for them (entertainment-wise) and what is not. They have a kitchenette where they make food up there as part of their activities. They had just made Irish potatoes when I was there, and sometimes they bake cookies or any of the foods that they feel like doing. They have little competitions sometimes with their pool table or with the corn hole or other yard games. The residents love to see the deer come up close so they can see the wildlife a little closer. I was very impressed with the place. My only drawback was, it was a little far for me to travel.

I chose them for my husband because I just felt like the staff was especially caring. They put their mission ahead of everything else. They are very professional. They keep me in touch. They have allowed us to come and visit with him outside, but we can't do that right now because of COVID. I chose it I think mostly because of the professionalism of the staff. He really likes to eat, and he's used to pretty fine food. The facility is excellent. They are able to watch people all the time. It's very welcoming. When you come in the entrance it's like a little town or a little village. It is also a little bit smaller and more intimate than the others.

I visited this facility

My mother moved here. Everything is good, and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. They do daily games, activities outside, they go on trips, and they're very content. The food is very good, her room is very nice, it's like a double room, and she's very happy with it.

We are very impressed with every single member of the staff here. Everybody is trained to the highest level in Alzheimer's care, and they couldn't be more genuine and caring. The staff is what made our ultimate decision. We were very impressed with what they offered for somebody with dementia, and this place fits our and Mom's needs. Mom seems to be quite content with the food.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend moved here in the middle of July. It was very nice, friendly, and clean. I like their program and everything about it. So far it's good and they seem to take really good care of her. They have an occupational therapist come in, art classes, art projects, and memory games. They have a town hall meeting area and they do most of their activities there. The majority of the staff is very helpful, they answer your questions, and they're very friendly. They seem to like her. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they have snacks in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The doctor goes there.
