I love my studio apartment and its lovely outside patio. When cancer hit me last year I simply moved into a room here where there was excellent, full-time nursing care. They helped me get back and forth from chemo sessions and they took loving care of me when I felt awful at times. Now free of cancer! The staff is simply an extension of the terrific community here. (I often give scathing reviews of things, so these raves are not typical for me!) As editor of the monthly residents’ periodical I’m happily involved with people and events here.

Seven months ago, during the pandemic, we moved my mother into Foulkeways. From the start, the admissions office and staff were both responsive and thoughtful through each step of the entry process, and their professionalism and care were excellent. Since my mother’s arrival, the level of support has been exemplary. She has been in her independent unit for over six months and continues to express her gratitude of being in such a personable and caring community. Each day she is establishing connections with both residents, and staff and I feel the value-centered community of “friendship, dignity, and respect” is truly woven into the fabric of this very special place. Our family, and most importantly my mother, couldn’t be happier with her move to Foulkeways.

If I had the money, I would move into Foulkeways Gwynedd tomorrow. But it is too expensive for me; otherwise, it is a wonderful community. I have friends who live there, and I would be very comfortable with the people. I like their philosophy, and the food is excellent. It is a very nice place, and they have lots of things. They are redoing a lot of their apartments, and everything is 1-story, so everybody has a patio, which is really nice. They were designed like that, so that you are not walking down long hallways or covered walkways. If you need assistance getting back and forth to the dining room, somebody would come with a golf cart or anything, but it gets you outside each day. That is their philosophy, and I really like that idea.

I went to Foulkeways which is a big facility in this area. I liked it. It was very nice. They had a series of buildings that were connected by walkways to the main building. The apartment was almost like a house. I only looked at a one-bedroom, and it has a patio. It was a lovely place. They had all kind of classes and activities, and they take people out. The staff that I met seemed nice enough. The dining area was very nice. In fact, they had a variety of places that you can eat in. I would absolutely recommend this.

For me, Foulkeways is fabulous. I would like in this place. I like the people a lot. I like the staff and the administrators. They were very nice and very approachable. I like they have different activities. I also like the fact that the residents are included in the number of decisions.

We visited Foulkeways. I did found a beautiful little city! A lovely town, beautiful community, and friendly people. The dining area is really spacious and you can have a buffet type like in a restaurant. It's very pleasant. The entire staff is very friendly and attentive. If you can't live at home, Foulkeways is the good place to be.
