My father was at DevonHouse Senior Living in Allentown. It was nice, but it's been around for a while so it was an old facility. The newer facilities have a little more current furniture and features to them. The staff was very supportive and very personable people with 24/7 hands-on care. The people were all out and about intermingling with each other. Nurses were walking around all the time making sure everybody was safe. It was a friendly and wonderful atmosphere. The dining area was nice. It was a little small, but the food was good. The facilities were really clean. There was always housekeeping a couple of times a day. My father had no problem when he was there. They always had them busy, too. They had bingo, arts, exercise times, card clubs, picnics, and cookouts. It was great.

I toured DevonHouse Senior Living - Allentown. It's a very mature operation. It has been there for a while now. They seem to know what they're doing as far as providing a good community for seniors. The staff were very accommodating and very nice. It looked like it was a fairly close-knit community. There was a nice community gathering, they had a courtyard, and a laundry system was there, too. It's everything you would expect from a community. The rooms were adequate. They were sort of what you would expect in an older design, but it was nice and clean. We preferred a little bit more of a kitchenette type of arrangement that was more built-in instead of what was offered, but other than that, it certainly would have worked.

My mom was in DevonHouse Senior Living. It's a privately-owned place and it's top of the line. It's small, but it has a good nursing staff. I like the personal care they had there, and their aides were wonderful with my mom. They had Hershey's ice cream 24/7, and had all kinds of activities. The bathroom for her to get in with the walker wasn't the best, so I was disappointed in that, but the care made up for it. The room size was small but she was in a shared room. They had nurses there all the time.

DevonHouse Senior Living is very good. My mom has her own efficiency apartment that's carpeted, and instead of a hospital bed, she has a regular bed and furnishings in it. It has a fridge, microwave, sink, main room and a large bathroom. You feel like you're going into a hotel when you first come in. The rooms are really nice. It's superior to the other two places she was at. The environment and the care was much better. We get therapy service outsourced. The food is far superior. The level of care, how friendly the people are, how accessible they are, how cooperative they are, have been far superior to the other two places she was at. They have bingo, miniature golf, music, dancing, an activity room for baking and crafts, and a community area. You can eat in your room if you don't feel up to going out to the dining room. The guy who give her medicines is really good with her. They all seem really nice and helpful. The food is fresh especially the fruit. They keep the place pretty clean. They have a book club and it's a pet friendly place. I would absolutely recommend them.

It is in a nice location. I would not recommend this Personal Care Home. My Mom has resided there for 4 years. In less than a year they have went through 2 administrators and three Director of Nursing. Not the place it used to be, Went south quick. I will be moving mom out ASAP. If they can not keep staff means resident care is subpar.

Devonhouse of Allentown was very nice. I would highly recommend this place. The dining room was very nice. They have single rooms that were very large. The pricing was extremely competitive, and it was very good. The turnover is high, as in most places, and they have done some changes in the administration recently. Maybe they can improve the number of times the patients get checked every day.

We have our Mom in an assisted living facility at Devonhouse of Allentown. They're fantastic. They advertised that their pricing is inclusive, and that's absolutely true. They provide transportation to doctor's appointments. They have a person who coordinates scheduling with the doctor and transportation, and there is no extra charge for that. The laundry is done individually per person, and it is not all put in together. They have a doctor on staff, and they have nurses 24/7 that are right there. We couldn't be happier with the services for my mom.

Devon House was referred by a friend of mine. I thought it was nice. It seemed like a nice, friendly, and very caring place. I have only eaten there once, but it seems there is a variety, the food has nice variety, and my parents seem to like it. They have a nice little apartment. It is a one-room apartment, but it is big enough to have a bed, some furniture, and a little TV watching area, so I think the apartment is nice. There are lots of stuff going on there all the time. There is a schedule every day, and they try to keep people engaged; they are very good at that. We chose this place because everybody there seemed so nice and caring, and it just seemed a good fit for everything that we needed. My parents needed some help, and they certainly were going to provide it or were capable of providing it.

I wouldn't leave my anybody here even if it's my worst enemy. Aides swearing at other residents and the other residents looking miserable. A new girl who started a few months ago is only good with my mom.

Devon House is close by and it is nice. It is well-kept and well-maintained. My mom has been living there for around six months. The food is top-notch. They have some typical social activities -- they try to keep them active and they have some offsite activities, too. They have picnics and group gatherings. They are focused on getting them out of the facility and going outside when the weather is nice. They have a nice patio. The staff is very positive, very friendly and engaging. They have a 24-hour nursing staff.

We visited Devonhouse considering for my uncle who has some medical issues. The facility is really beautiful. The atmosphere in the facility is very happy and pleasant. I really like this place for my uncle. They have an extraordinary staff. I can't say anything bad about them. We greatly appreciate the kindness of the staff who toured us in the facility. I will highly recommend them to others.

The place was very lovely. The staff was very generous and helped out a lot. It seemed like there were plenty of activities and things for the elderly to do, so it seemed like a wonderful place. The facilities seemed rather new so that was great. Weekly events were help in order to keep the occupants busy. There was bingo and other games of those sorts where they could win prizes which seemed very inviting and exciting. The staff were diverse and very friendly. The pricing is a little steep but for the great service it is worth it. The DevonHouse has a high degree of independence for seniors living in their community, and assist every resident in living the most fulfilling life possible. Residents of the community enjoy the utmost in hospitality and customer service, while on-site professional nursing staff provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
