We toured Atrium of Allentown. We liked everything about it. It was beautiful. The person who gave the tour was wonderful. She gave us so much information. Everything was clean. She showed us rooms, and even the dining room looked spotless. It was very nice. They had just finished having lunch when we got there, so they were cleaning everything up, but the dining room looked very nice. The layout and size of the room would have been perfect. We were really disappointed that my daughter couldn't afford it.

I went to look at the Atrium in Allentown. They had a nurse. They had a sunroom area with a table that was there. It was kind of more of a home setting. There were cabinets. There were people talking. They had a TV with a sports channel on it, not just some news station that nobody's watching. They took the time to really make it home for them, and they include their memory care patients in the activities if they're able. If they have a movie night, they take the memory care patients to the movie night. Their schedule was exactly the same as what assisted living was. The aides would walk them to the snack area where they would see other people their own age. They weren't shut in. They were included. They actually have a Medicare doctor that's there during the day. They have a movie theater, a beauty parlor, a barbershop, and a big activities area where they had a director that came in. They are one exit. The staff asked questions, like what would be a trigger for my husband. She took all my financial concerns and understood that it was going to be hard for me. They weren't pushy. They were just as concerned for me as they were for the care for my husband.

Atrium of Allentown is a brand-new facility. Everything is geared around what would be expected from a new facility. The concepts were new. There were more white in the facility. This is sort of a newer operation than the other place, and I got the feeling that they were still figuring everything out. As far as how the staff presented themselves and the type of people they were, they all seemed interested. We saw pretty much the same amenities. The areas were nice and more open. It's a more open structure with higher ceilings. It's everything you would expect in a modern building. There's a chapel, too. The rooms were very nice. They had double windows instead of a one-window thing. They had a built-in kitchenette kind of space that had counters and microwaves. It's a nicer facility all around as far as the rooms themselves. The bathrooms were more modern. The location is great because my mother's nephew lives right next door, so that's another reason that one is a good selection for her if we would decide to do something.

Atrium of Allentown was very up-to-date and extremely stylish. It was so nice. We're like, "Wow, I would live here." The rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were like out of a hotel. They were beautiful. Price-wise, they might have been less than the others. They were right in there in the price range that we were trying to spend, which was right around $6000 a month. We did not eat their food, but we saw their food and we saw their dining room, which was set up nice, and there were stations that they could go to where they have snacks and drinks put out and stuff like that. We wanted that place so bad that they went and did a second assessment on my dad, which I thought was super nice. They said, "Let's go back again and just check again." Unfortunately, they just couldn't take care of him. They have a big room where they do activities, and it was nice. There's a big TV up there. They had courtyards they could go into. They had a common area with a TV and seating. They had a room upstairs and it almost reminded me of a banquet room. They had an elevator, and they play games and they have movie night up there. They had a lot of activities for the people. Everything was brand new and you could just tell because all the rooms had that gray flooring. You could just tell everything's very modern. Even the lady who was helping me joked, "If you're looking for glitz and glamor, Atrium is the place."

Atrium of Allentown was a new facility. It's only a little more than a year old so it's a beautiful place. They had outside areas and the rooms were very nice and good sized. The staff spent more time talking with me about what was provided and what's covered in their fees. People were sitting out in the common rooms or in the dining area. It was a nice place.

We were very pleased with Atrium of Allentown. I have contacted them directly to let them know that we would like to proceed with this facility. We feel optimistic that this facility will be a good choice. The tour was absolutely wonderful. The facility was beautiful. I was very impressed with all the personnel that we encountered. I don't have one single reservation or concern at all at this point. I was very impressed. I feel like it's going to be a great match for my father-in-law. The rooms were neat, efficient, new, and modern. I saw the residents working on a holiday coloring activity while I was there.

Atrium of Allentown was the newest facility we saw. It wasn't quite full. It was bright and shiny. Everything was clean. They had a very nice, enclosed courtyard. They seemed to have a very good schedule for the residents. They had facilities, doctors that were on call, hairdressers, and things like that. The thing that impressed us most was the newness. Also, the staff that took us around knew the facility.
