I like that Cascade Park Retirement Community is all-inclusive. Your food is supplied and there are people there that check on you, just to keep track. If you're going to go away overnight, you have to sign, and that kind of stuff. I ate there and what I had for lunch was a stuffed tomato, which was stuffed with egg salad. I also had cottage cheese, a pineapple side, and soup. I didn't have dessert, because I was already full. They have a menu as well as two specials. So, if you want a hotdog, you could always have a hotdog, but if you want a real meal, they have real meals. And then if you're sick, they will bring it to you. I've been there a couple of times, because I have a friend that lives there. Then two weeks ago, I went in and signed the papers. The facility is really good and nice and I've been telling everybody about it. They have a parking lot, so if you have a car like I do, they have that. It's not going to be exactly next to my place, I have to walk, but at least I have the car if I want to go out. Then they have a bus for trips and stuff like that.

We're at Cascade Park. We're enjoying it. Our overall experience has been very positive. The staff has been very helpful. It's a smaller campus, so it's a better fit for us. We have a two-bedroom apartment, and it's huge and it has a lot of closet space. It has two bathrooms and a kitchenette. In the mornings, they come on the intercom and let you know what is happening that day. There's a shopper bus, exercise classes, movies, happy hour, and all kinds of stuff. They let you know every day what is happening and where so that you can show up and enjoy. There's a lovely dining room, and they serve the main meals and alternates. They have a good menu. They have ongoing meetings with all the residents to let them know what we like to eat and what we don't care for so much. So far, we enjoy the food very much. The grounds are lovely. There's a nice garden area and I'm sure that the garden area will show up very nicely as soon as the weather gets a little better. They offer a wide range of activities. There's usually something going on just about every day. Value for money is very good.

I'm living in Cascade Park. The meals are not good. It's just not good-tasting food. Once in a while, it's okay. They need a new carpet. It just doesn't appear clean to me. Their maid service is good. They take good care of my studio once a week. Some of the staff are excellent. Some of them are very helpful, and some aren't helpful at all. They offer bingo, card games, and very light exercise. They take you to Walmart on Fridays on a bus. The activities are okay. They're cheaper than the others. However, the corporate needs to upgrade this place. They need to improve the food, cleanliness, and carpeting, and they need to change their attitude overall.

I have chosen Cascade Park. It's in a convenient location, it's in a nice area, and the price was right. It's all-inclusive. They have three meals a day and a restaurant-style kitchen. They have a nice open courtyard that the apartments are built around. It's like an enclosed courtyard, which is nice. It's in a nice area of town surrounded by other assisted living. This is independent living, but they have an assisted living next door, which is just as nice. They have a lot of activities that are planned. There is a piano, they have movie nights, and they have daily things that they have set up and they have a schedule for them. It was just a nice facility. The person that took me around was very informative, very nice, and easy to work with. Just good all the way around. They were serving meals at the time that we were there. They offered my daughter to come and have a meal with me for the first time, and they allow guests to come down for a meal at a small fee. They have a small refrigerator, a sink, and a two-burner stovetop included in the apartment. Wi-Fi is also included.

Cascade Park Retirement is fantastic. I chose it because the people are friendly, and the rooms are nice. The dining room and food are excellent. I get lost a lot, though. The residents all seem very happy and pleased with the way they are treated.
