I visit my grandmother at Elms Retirement Village. It's assisted living and nursing home together. She has her own little apartment and then they come and check on her to give her, her medicine and stuff. She's pretty mobile and she's in the assisted living part. The facility seems pretty clean. They have amenities to get the people to socialize. They have meals all the time. My grandma goes out for lunch and dinner out to the cafeteria or the dining room. I know that they come in and they help her shower, they do her laundry, and they do her medication. There's a beauty salon in the facility. Her apartment is like a suite. She has a bedroom and there are no doors, but there's a living area with a little kitchenette and then a bathroom. She's doing good. She's happy being there. She seems happy with the food. They make a lot of things that she likes. It's really clean. Everything's in order. It looks very professional. There's no dirt at all. She doesn't participate in any activity, but I know there are things that go on. I know that they do like trick-or-treating for the kids where they'll pass out candies to the kids.

Extremely dissatisfied with the care my loved one recieved. They are a long term resident and the quality of nursing care has declined greatly. Several UTIs that went septic. My love one is left sitting in their waste for over an hour. Dehydration, skin infections due to lack of nursing care. When I questioned the nurses to express concern, they would deflect. DON, shows very little concern or compassion.

When I visited the nursing home everyone was very kind and welcoming. The building looked and felt very clean and well maintained. Also in the rooms the nurses have very good bed side manor and checked on my grandmother numerous times while I was there. While I was there also many of the other residences at the time moved around the home and visited and gave the place a overall good feeling inside it. Another important thing was the fact that the staff at the home new the residences by name, they were not just names on a clipboard the nurses had personal connections with each of them and truly cared about them

The Elms Retirement Village was a very nice place to visit. I thought that the staff were all very nice. I met a women named Susan that I was talking to. She said that she loved it there and can say that she has no complaints. One of the things she loved was the food. I agreed with her. It looked like something to be served in a top restaurant. I was surprised because most places I have seen just look like they feel the elders food that came out of a box. I really did like how clean and organized everything was. The rooms were close to perfect and the bathroom was very safe. I liked it a lot and I felt like I could trust the staff with any of my family members because I know that they would be taken care of.
