My mom has moved into Quaker Heights Care Community. It is very good. I'm very happy with them so far. No complaints. The building itself is very modern and very clean. It's just a great- looking facility inside and out. The staff are very attentive and very professional. It seems like they genuinely care about the residents. My mom doesn't take part in any activity. She has no hobbies or anything. She's kind of a loner, so I don't know what activities they offer. I have seen that they have a whole bunch of books there to read, and I know they do bingo. It looks like they have lots of things for the residents to do if they want to do them. My mom's room is clean and neat. They got it well prepared for her before she moved in there. They did some touch-up painting and such. It's a good comfortable room. I would highly recommend it. I think it'd be a great place where they'll care for loved ones, and I think families would be very happy with that. I'm very happy with the staff. I haven't tried the food, but my mom enjoys the food there.

RUN AWAY! Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville is dirty and smelly. IMO the residents don't get the help they need to be safe. The nursing director did not want to hear our concerns about resident safety, lack of care (multiple falls, patient wearing same clothes days two days in a row, bandage not changed for 7 days just another one placed on top of it) lack of cleanliness (facility reeks of urine) etc. She quickly shut us down, asked us to leave and told us the reason for the stench, falls, etc was because of our loved one's behavior. People with dementia NEED HELP and this facility is being paid very well to provide that help but they are seriously missing the mark. If you are considering placing a loved one here, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

We visited Quaker Heights. It was very clean. I really liked the assisted living because there was one central meeting area with each apartment off of that, so it was very welcoming in that respect. Unfortunately, it will not meet our needs because they do not have a lot of skilled care for assisted living residents. If my parents were mobile, I would put them there without any hesitation whatsoever. The facility’s lack of structure impressed me. You can get up at whatever time you want in the morning. They have a time when breakfast is served, but if you’re a late sleeper, they have another menu that’s available all day. You have more choices there.
