My mother has been in Grace Brethren Village. It's a rehab facility, and we've been pleased with it. Her condition has deteriorated a little bit, even though she's progressing with her rehab. She has had a couple other things come up that complicated the rehab, although that's good, and they are continuing to work with her, and continue to say she is improving. They have kept the family involved with One Call Now's phone messages, and they did do a Zoom with family last week, just to get everybody on board on the current events of the virus, and the current events of flu vaccines and all that, that they will be getting together. All in all, we're pleased with the facility. They've got the PT and the OT that they're working with her with. They have some things that they can bring in that she can do. They are taking her down to the great room for meals to interact with other people. They have had facilities where you can take the family member outside for walks and view the grounds, and different things like that. I've been there a couple of times when she's eating, and it tastes very good. They're working with her and doing very well. She's had a couple of bumps in the road that they are working with and trying to get her through too, so that's good.

I toured Grace Brethren Village. I like basically where it's located because it's close to shopping and it's close to a lot of different things that we would use. It's close to the hospital and our doctor, and that's important. What I wasn't crazy about was that it's older. It doesn't have quite the amenities that some of the newer places have, but it was very nice. It was clean. It was very well-appointed. They were still remodeling when we were there so it may have changed by now. The staff was very polite, very nice, and very knowledgeable of what was going on, and took a lot of time with us. They have some activities, not as much as some of the newer homes, but they have a place for cards and a community room. It was very nicely done.

Grace Brethren Village was a pretty good place and very homey. They had plenty of nursing aides and RNs, and plenty of things to do on your own or with your family. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable. The facility was OK. I saw people wandering around doing things.

Grace Brethren Village is very nice, but I wouldn't be able to live there because they were duplexes, and if you had to go to the office it would be way too far to walk and I don't drive. Getting the mail was also too difficult because it came to the front of the property and it would've been walking like 50 to 60 feet outside and I really can't do that. It wasn't going to work for me that way. The price was right but I won't be able to do the actual living there. The place is well-kept and very well-maintained. People were very good, helpful, and told you everything you needed to know and it was a fine place. It was just not for me.

I'm living now in Grace Brethren Village. It's great so far. I'm totally independent. Because I'm confined to a wheelchair, I can't get out, so I don't participate in any activities. I'm trying to get ouf the wheelchair, so that's the reason for rehabilitation. They provide everything. They offer three meals a day. The staff is excellent. The place is excellent.

Words just cannot express the gratitude that our family has for each and everyone of you at Grace Brethren Village for taking care of mom these last 4 years. We feel so lucky to have placed her in your loving care. We always knew she was taken care of and treated like family there. The special things that the aides as well as the kitchen staff and the nurses did to make mom happy were above and beyond our expectations. Thank you all so much!

I visited Grace Brethren. They were very knowledgeable, showed us what we wanted to see, and answered all our questions. The apartments were very well kept. We only needed one bedroom, and they showed us a two-bedroom, but it was adequate and would suit our needs when the time came. The food appeared to be OK. The price was quite reasonable. However, I guessed they needed to improve on their local transportation. My mom was not going to able to drive, so she would need some sort of escort or service.

Grace Brethren VIllage was home. The minute I visited I knew it was home for my Father-in-law. After 4 months of hospitals and rehabs, we decided on an independent living cottage. Unfortunately, his health didn't allow him to stay in it long term, but even when he was in their skilled nursing, he did not think he was in a "nursing home". I cannot say enough about the staff. From Julie in marketing, Kim the social worker, nursing staff, all the way to the volunteers who bring in fresh ice water, they are the most pleasant, caring group of folks I have ever met. They don't only treat their residents with kindness and respect, they also take care of the family. This is my first experience dealing with an elder who needed this type of aid and will be forever grateful for the help I have received from Caring.com and the folks at Grace Brethren Village. I would choose this place for my dearest family and myself!!

We visited Grace Brethren Village. It was nice, and the staff was very helpful and showed us around. Everything was fine. I don’t have anything negative to say about the place. I would definitely recommend it. The rooms and apartments were nice, accommodating, clean, and well kept. The grounds were well kept, and maintenance people were there pretty much around the clock, so it was very nice. They don’t have enough spaces available for people. They have independent living facilities that people can afford, but as far as assisted living, they don’t have enough facilities available.

The independent housing at Grace Brethren Village was nice. The staff seemed to have good qualifications and was very friendly and helpful. They go shopping once a week and have all kinds of games, movies and a lot of other things to do.

Great place and glad my parents live there. What makes it great is the staff. For example, when my mom had to go to the nursing home for some rehab, the staff their treated her like a family member. The spent time with her, worked with her and she is now back in her cottage doing fine. Now that she is fine again, she is able to participate in a lot of the activities they have there, both staff and her neighbors help her anytime she needs it.
