My dad just moved into the Inn at Coal Ridge. When my sister and I first went to check them out, we just felt like it was the right place. It's homey. It's not brand spanking new, so it has some age to it, which we like. It is decorated toward the people who live there, not something brand new and modern. We've eaten there and the food is good. Everybody has been so nice. My dad's adjusting much better than we thought he would, and they've done everything they can to make it an easy transition for our family and my dad. They will do his laundry, housekeeping, and they check on him throughout the day. They walk him to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or anywhere he wants to go. They have a movie theater room, cafes, a barbershop, and a church. The first day he was there he had physical therapy. They even take them on little field trips, like they went to Angie's for pizza. They have a beautiful place to sit outside that has a waterfall and a putting green. They have a bird aviary. There's plenty of places to sit, either in the sun or in the shade.

I was at The Inn at Coal Ridge from the first of December until I left in April. While I was there, I behaved and did not do anything unusual. They do a really wonderful job. They had a wonderful staff, particularly the executive director. She understood my situation, so we worked things out, and I got out of there. They had a couple of different levels of services and, generally, served three meals a day and had entertainment periodically. I’ve seen other places, but if I had to choose some place to go, I would go back there.

I was impressed by the Inn at Coal Ridge. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The units were very nice and pleasing. There were all sorts of activities available. They have Saturday lunches.
