We moved my mom into Carriage Court about four weeks ago. The folks there are great, and she is getting settled in. It takes some time, but she is doing OK. I feel like she is getting wonderful care from a good team of people. We selected it based on the location. It is pretty close to where I live, so I am able to go down and visit at least once a week or sometimes more. Her room is clean and not big, maybe 12 x 18, so there is enough room in there for a bed, a dresser, a little kitchenette, a private bath, and a closet. The common areas are nice and big. It's nice where they eat their meals. They have a TV room, a craft room, workout facilities, and a lot of other features. The food is good and varied. They post the menu every week, and you can eat in the cafeteria or in your room; they will bring the food to your room if you don’t feel like going out that evening.

My mother will be moving into Carriage Court of Lancaster. It was really clean. The staff was friendly. I got to see him interact with some of the residents that are there. They encourage residents to take part of activities such as bingo or craft activities. They have all kinds of opportunities for the community to get together to do things. They talk to them respectfully. She is moving into a one-bedroom. It does not have cable, unless you pay extra for that, but they have a microwave and a mini-fridge in each room. They have studios, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom big enough for a married couple. There's a courtyard, an activities room, a dining room, and a room where you can have parties if you want to have a party with your family.

We were impressed with Carriage Court of Lancaster and the people there. They seemed to be very caring and very nice. From what we saw, the surroundings looked fine. The lady that did the interview with us was quite informative, and I liked her.

I have visited Carriage Court a couple of times and was very impressed with the facility. It was very clean and had a homey atmosphere. The staff that I spoke with was very friendly and seemed to truly care about the residents. A young lady named Jennifer was so helpful in giving me a tour of the facility. I would definitely consider this facility if the need ever arises. Keep up the good work and compassion for your residents.

Carriage Court of Lancaster is a very small facility which we like because every one of the aides up to the executive director know all of the residents' names, they're around all the time, and they've always been very kind and helpful whether it's to us or my in-laws. They have absolutely no complaints, and they're overwhelmingly happy with how they're being treated. What stood out is their kindness, and I like that it's very small. If they need something, they take a bus and take them to Walmart or Walgreens or wherever somebody wants to go. We're very happy.

Carriage Court is a very nice place, but it had a two-year waiting list. It was a clean and fairly new facility. The lady that showed me around was extremely helpful, very kind, and patient. There seemed to be a very positive relationship between her and some of the residents. The staff was very calm and laid back. They had two basic types of rooms, and basic necessities were in the room, but the family was expected to furnish it, which wasn’t a bad thing.

Carriage Court of Lancaster was nice. I couldn't stay there because it was too much like a nursing home. I would like an apartment, but I could only have a room without a kitchen, and I do not want that. Everybody was really nice to me. They had bingo and everything.

My brother and I visited this facility on July 9th, 2013. Laura met us and exchanged ideas with us and gave us brochures and tour. We really liked her and her ideas. We are looking for two people, our mother and sister. We did not feel even though it is a very nice facility that it could accomodate our family members due to the small size of the apartments- 305 sq, ft, to 396 sq. ft. and the only room available was the smallest.
