My brother-in-law moved into Brookdale Lakeview Crossing. I thought they were all very nice, very kind, and doing OK. It's just a small room, but it's private, so it's OK. They said they're going to replace the carpet next week. They have an order to put a new one in. They haven't done it yet, but that might be because he's in quarantine right now. The surrounding community is very nice, and the outdoor space is nice and shaded.

My sister-in-law will be moving into Brookdale Lakeview Crossing. I like the location and the facility. I like the fact that it was clean. I took a tour of the facility, and I was very satisfied with all the services that they provide and the cost. The layout of the rooms was very good. My sister-in-law will be in a studio apartment, which is just the size that she needs. I like the fact that we'll be able to decorate the furniture in there and make it feel more like being at home. The staff members are very nice. Most of them said they enjoyed their job. Their dining area is like a restaurant. They can go in there, sit down at the table, and the waitress will come over, take what they want to eat, and bring it to them. My sister-in-law needs a little bit of therapy when she goes over there, and they have someone to come in and take care of that. They'll be willing to transport her.

My mother has been at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing for about 2 years now, but I don't like the way they change prices constantly. They'll tell you one price but they're constantly raising the rates every couple of months. They are way understaffed. They have one girl who takes care of probably 3 halls there. When they got a new manager, he started either laying people off or something, and they just didn't have enough people. My mother doesn't care about the food there. When I'm down there, she just won't eat it. She gets stuff brought in for herself. She fell there 3 times now. The last time she broke her elbow, she was in the hospital for 2 two weeks. She fell and she laid there from 6:00 in the morning until noon. They found her lying on the floor 6 hours later. They need to improve on just about everything there. They just don't have any help, and that's the main reason she laid there for 6 hours on the floor, is that they just don't have enough helpers to come in and check on her about once a day.

Seemed like everybody at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing was energetic. Everybody talked to everybody. You could tell they cared for their residents and that they come first. It's just a beautiful place. It was nice and very clean. The staff were perfect. They fit the job perfectly. They have a party on Friday night like a cookout and I liked that a lot. They even have a beer night on Friday night. That was cool. They have everything and everybody was having a good time.

I loved Brookdale Lakeview Crossing. My mother-in-law just was not comfortable there. She thought that she was being isolated out that far because it's kind of far back off Hamilton Road. She likes where she is now because she can see the street and people can visit her there. I guess her friends thought that this place was kind of far for her, but I didn't, because it was close enough for me to be able to maintain getting her to places. The rooms were nice. It was a nice place. We went there for lunch and it was delicious. I sat with her and ate and we had a choice of what we wanted from the menu, and that's what they bought us out. They had the salon. She can do her own laundry, but they said they would do her laundry. They have social events. They have an area where they have parties. They have guests that come in. They do bingo. They go on shopping trips.

Brookdale Lakeview Crossing was very nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very pleasant. It was an excellent facility, clean, and no smell. They had a beauty salon. Once a week, they would provide transportation to doctors' offices. They had a nice recreational room, and the dining area looked clean and well-kept.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about Brookdale Lakeview Crossing. It was a large and spacious facility. I liked the layout. It wasn't old, but it wasn't a new building also. It was well-maintained and clean. The environment was uplifting. The lady that gave the tour was very, very friendly. She answered my questions and was very forthright. It was a good experience interviewing and talking with her. This facility was well-lit. The dining area was spacious and the lighting was good, too. While I was there, some of the residents were gathered in a particular area and they were just getting together and talking. In the area where those guys were, they acknowledged veterans. They have something on the wall and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves and communicating with one another.

I went to Brookdale Lakeview Crossing yesterday. It was very nice. The facility was clean. The people appeared very friendly and knowledgeable. The patients seemed calm and appeared to be enjoying themselves. The room I've seen was nice and clean. It has its own nice step-in bathtub. I wasn't very observant, but I know it was a nice room because I come in and I said, 'Oh, I would like to live here.' They had a salon where you can get your hair done, they had a movie night for their clients, and they had a nice piano in there and they said you could get popcorn there. They have a lot of nice things going on for their clients. The staff were nice people. That's the first one I went to, and I thought it was wonderful, and I came home, and I told my other kids about it. The dining area was nice; it was set up as a restaurant. I looked at it and the clients were in there eating. It was clean, too.

Brookdale Lakeview Crossing was clean, and the staff was friendly. The rooms were just too small. They're all private; there's no room sharing. It was a nice facility, and they had great amenities. It just wasn't the right fit for my mom.

My father was at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing, and we loved it. Everything was amazing about it, from the appearance, to the residents, and the staff. It was a very good place. The staff was very helpful. The dining room was amazing. The place was very well kept, very clean, and had no unpleasant smells. They have activities, and they have a happy hour on Fridays where bands come in. Everybody seemed happy. It was homey.

Brookdale Lakeview Crossing was pleasant and clean, but they didn't have enough caretakers for the Alzheimer's patients. I didn't hear any complaints from my grandmother about the food. They stuck them all in a room and let them sit there. They kept upping our fee $1,000 almost every month and there was no change. She wasn't getting any extra care. They didn't know her blood pressure was low for a month and she kept falling and she was really out of it. The only thing the nurses did there was to send pills. They didn't do anything else. Anytime there's an issue with an Alzheimer's person, they don't know how to deal with it, and they call the family. The rest of the place seemed OK. If she didn't have Alzheimer's, she probably would've been fine in that place.

My tour at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing was very good. The facility was nice and offers all different types of living. They have a very nice activity room and a very nice dining area with a professional chef. Residents can order the different types of food that they like. The rooms were good with mostly studio-sized rooms and a 1-bedroom that was like two rooms that were combined. The staff member was excellent, they took me on a complete tour, and told me about the entertainment that comes in. They have activity nights and they play games, Bingo, and all kinds of different stuff. The place was just not very bright in terms of lighting.

My mom chose Brookdale because she had friends there. The rooms were nice. They had activities planned throughout the day, a library, beauty salon, and a little patio area where the residents could go outside and get fresh air.

I like Brookdale Lakeview Crossing. The reason I work with them is because they had a promotion with affordable pricing. I love this community. My mother's apartment is nice. She said some of the foods are tasty, but they repeat and there is confusion in the kitchen with their staff, so she doesn't care for the food. They offer three meals a day. My mother loves the staff and the people in this community. Her only complaint is the food.

We took a tour at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing, had lunch there, and visited with some people. It was a nice, clean, and organized place with good-quality food, a good location, and good administration. It’s probably our first choice.

My father was in Brookdale Lakeview Crossing (formerly Emeritus at Lakeview) for three weeks, and in that time, he may have been given a shower twice. It looked really nice inside and clean, but we didn't like the fact that we always had to tell them to give him a shower. He was there six days before he had a shower, and that's because we initiated it. My mom went in there and had to give him one. It just wasn't an ideal place. We moved him back home after three weeks, but now they want to charge us for the whole month of January. We're just disappointed in his care. There were also issues with his medication. I don't think they ever transfered his medication to OmniCare. The food looked pretty good, though. My dad was always willing to eat it. They had just gotten a new activities director, and he was doing exercises every morning. The apartments looked good. They're newly renovated and looked decent, but when I would go by rooms of other residents that live in the assisted living part, the carpets were dirty and very spotted, although they were new. They were understaffed when it came to aides. They have a problem with staffing, which is why my dad wasn't getting showered.

Everything at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing (Formerly Emeritus at Lakeview) was exceptional. It was beautiful. It was under construction, which had to be done, but everything looked really nice. The staff was excellent. Everything seemed perfect for what we needed; it just cost too much. The dining room was very nice. The care that she would've gotten and the complete package that she would've had were much more expensive than what was covered with the fees, and I like that. I also liked that they have recreation that would occupy her time. I didn't have anything that I didn't like. They had different options for her and that was good.

I was really impressed with the staff at Brookdale although my friend passed away a few weeks ago. They went out of their way. I would highly recommend them. They were very kind, very personal with him, and very concerned with the patient. I was very pleased.

Proximity-wise, Brookdale Lakeview Crossing (Emeritus at Lakeview) was close to my family. They had bingo. They have exercise at 10 o’clock in the morning. On May 5th, they had a Cinco de Mayo get together with family if you wanted to go. My father does not like the food. I think the room is probably about the right size. We’ve had some problems with them giving him the correct medication and dosage. He’s a level 5, and we’ve had some problems with them not checking, for example, his refrigerator to make sure that things are not outdated. We contacted management, and they were able to take care of his medication.

I wasn't impressed with the Emeritus at Lakeview at all, but I thought it was OK. The place was clean, it didn't smell -- that was the main thing I was looking for -- and the people were nice. I thought the staff was fine, and they answered all my questions. I didn't go away feeling like they didn't know what they were doing. I felt like they were trying to sell the building, and they did a good job of doing it. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It didn't look like a new building, but it looked like a building that had been kept up. We were looking for my brother, and he wasn't interested, so I just marked it off the list.

I have my mother at Emeritus at Lakeview. Its location is near where she was already living. She has been there for probably about three months now, and so far, so good. Regarding the staff, they're fine. Also, my mom seems to be adapting pretty well to their food. I think they have plenty of basic foods. If you don't like what's on the menu, you can have a hamburger or a grilled cheese or something. In general, their rooms are a little more expensive than most, but they seem to be pretty well maintained. They seem to have a couple of real simple activities each day; however, I think social activities could be a little more often. On Friday, they have a nice happy hour. That's nice, but it would be nicer if they had more of them.

Emeritus was okay but they did not have facilities for me in independent living. My mother in law had been there for 6 months before she passed away. We were very pleased with the services then. She likes to participate in activities with music and also bingo. Her room was fine; it was large enough for her. She had her bed, a dresser and her TV. It had a kitchen and bathroom. The staff was great and we were satisfied when my mother in law was there.

Emeritus was called The Inn at Lakeview when my mom lived there. She was there for six years. It was a wonderful place. It was one of the nicest facilities I have ever seen. It was five minutes or less from my home that's why I moved her there. The people there were great. They had a wonderful cafeteria and the food was great.

The staff at Emeritus was nothing but friendly and helpful. The facility is extremely well designed. While dealing with the emotional trauma of watching my grandmother slowly die, the managers, nurses, and CNA's were incredibly helpful and caring. They all seemed to take a personal interest in our family and the care of my grandmother. At the end of her life, my grandmother ended up being put into the care of several hospice nurses who would watch over her 24 hours a day. The Emeritus staff cooperated perfectly with the hospice staff. I cannot begin to extend my sincere thanks to the staff at Emeritus at Lakeview. They became a real community that my family felt completely at home with.

Emeritus at Lakeview provides excellent nursing care and has the most wonderful staff members and nurses. I would recommend this assisted living community to anyone. They also have a lot of activites for the residents and family nights every month which really makes this place home for all!
