I went to Walnut Trace. I thought it was very good. It's brand new, and it seemed to be laid out for disabled people. It's on a beautiful golf course, so that makes it kind of nice. The rooms were very clean. I saw a one bedroom, and it seemed to be very acceptable to me. I thought that part of it was fine. The staff was very nice, very friendly, easy to talk, and gave a lot of information about the place. All of them seemed to know pretty much about what was there. I could ask anybody a question, and they seemed to know the answer. They apparently knew pretty much about it. I didn't really get to see too many amenities there. I saw the room, and they showed us where the people ate. They had a party room, and that's where they were a lot. All of them at that time were there because it was around four o'clock on a Friday. There were a lot of people there. They seemed to know each other and were friendly. It's brand new, and it looks very nice.

We liked that Walnut Trace is an independent living only place. It tends to cater to a younger, healthier set of retirees, but as your medical needs arise, they will bring that to you, so you don't have to move. Also, it's just one month old, so it's very modern. One side abuts the golf course, while the other side is beautifully landscaped with a walkway around the facility. They have a gourmet chef. We had meals there and the food was excellent. They're very accommodating to the residents' needs. It's a 93-apartment unit, and they have meetings with the residents because they want to know what they want and what their needs are, which is very important.
