My loved one was not properly taken care of unless unless a family member was there to keep things on track. Shameful it's shameful. Administration never came to the room never asked if things were OK, never asked if there was anything they could do better.. I have detailed notes if anyone wants to hear more..

Bethesda, she had therapy and she is home now. She had outpatient therapy and she’s doing fine. She is home and she is doing really good. The help itself was good and I had really good communication with them. But as far as feedback from the staff; they had a meeting once a week and they were supposed to review her progress and when I did ask questions they had no answers or very few answers. The therapist and staff that work with her were great but as far as the staff that run the place it’s not great. The aides and staff were very courteous but as far as the people that were in-charge of different departments that was the problem. She was in a wing which is for people with therapy but the atmosphere as far as when you walk in you see people sit in the lobby in their wheelchairs it didn’t quite present a good picture and as far as security, you could walk in and nobody check in. As far as cleanliness, I think that was updated and really nice but I would not recommend anybody going to Bethesda as security was very poor.

He was well taken care of by the associates there. He was a very independent person and had spent most of his life dealing with alcholism so being able to have people around him helped him a lot! My mother had worked at Bethesda care center for a couple of years and knew that it was a good place that would provide the care that he needed in his final days. He never ever acted as though he disliked being there and always had positive things to say about his nurses and his room mate. They had a community lunch room. On many occasions we would go and eat dinner with him. He was able to have many of his things in his room such as his recliner that he loved to sit in. He also had his tv and personal pictures up which was a comfort to him and us. My grandfather was a very lonely person through out the years. He had lost my grandmother when she was only 25 to tuberculosis and never remarried. So to get some interaction with other people on a daily basis was very good for him.
