My mother is currently at The Inn at Northwood Village. She has now pretty much gone into full nursing home care and status, so they have continued to keep her there. They've hired some extra help to come in every other day and assist with her care. It's very nice as far as the building and the amenities. The staff tends to run slightly shorthanded at times, especially in the nursing care aspect. Their work attitude has been very good recently. There have been times that some of the staff have been a bit lackadaisical, but for the last year, they've really been trying to hire the right type of people. The food is passable. It's not bad food. It's brand new and it has so many amenities. They have all kinds of crafts, games, a huge movie theater, a full chapel, a family room, and a beauty shop. The interior is beautiful. Their activities are very good. They even have their own van and they take the ladies out on shopping trips or out to eat. We're getting good service for the amount of money we're paying. They only have one RN on-staff and the rest of the gals are LPNs, but they do a pretty good job because they have good supervision from the one RN that's on the staff.

The Inn at Northwood Village was a very nice place. You walk into a very nice open area with the fireplace, and then they had a little ice cream bar and a coffee bar. It was just really nice inside. The room I saw was nice and spacious. It was like a little three-part room, where it had a kitchen/dining area, a bedroom, and a living room area. The staff during the tour was very nice. They also did a bone density screen while we were there. The place was very new. They had a dining room, a beauty shop, and a little room for exercising. They had rooms for two people, single rooms, and smaller rooms.

We got a video tour of a room, and the facilities at The Inn at Northwood Village. I met with someone. It's live, and she was walking through. She was Facetiming someone inside while we were outside the facility. We were on the front patio. We were able to look in a room, and we were able to peek in through the windows at the first floor. Because everything is on the first floor there, it was easy. She videoed the places we couldn't see. They're very nice, and they followed up, and called me. They wanted to know what my decision was. They said that they have movie nights every Friday, they have activities, and they have a happy hour where residents can congregate, but they have to have them 6 feet apart right now with Covid. The happy hour is before the last meal of the day, and then they have their meal at the dining. They have an outdoor courtyard, and some walking trails there. It sounded like a very wonderful place. I met one of the nurses too, and he was wonderful. The facility is new, beautiful, and gorgeous.

The Inn at Northwood Village met my dad’s needs being that he has Alzheimer’s. The level of specific care he needs is in the Alzheimer’s part of Northwood Village. It’s very nice, and he is accommodated very well. They’ve been very helpful that way. They set up the appointment for me to go look at it on Labor Day. The lady was very helpful. We needed the care quickly, within two weeks from the time I walked through. It was a very stressful time, and everything they did was very helpful. The room has a shower. The whole floor is tiled, so therefore it’s real easy for them to clean. It’s very easy for his needs because he’s still very mobile. The facility opens up right into where the dining area is with plenty of sitting areas and activities they can do. It’s a very nice-looking, brand-new place built in 2014, I believe, so it’s very nice. I believe they’re talking of building behind it soon as well. It has an area in the center where he can go and walk around outdoors. It has a fountain in the middle, but he can’t get out. They come back in through the doors that have alarms the require codes when you go in and out. They thought of everything as far as what they have for their people and their different situations. I think it’s very difficult for that situation, and they did a very good job. I don’t have any complaints as far as with the staff. Anything that needed to be improved, they did a very good job improving.

The staff here go above and beyond to give my uncle the best care. The girls treat all the residents like royalty. It truly is a big happy family!

The Inn at Northwood Village was fabulous. They had successfully figured out how to plan and maintain an assisted living environment with a good balance of the attention needed to help people and all the independent options available.

We did select The Inn several months ago and put my brother-in-law in there, but he passed a couple of weeks ago. I had found this spot, and it was absolutely beautiful, but my brother-in-law was taking care of all the arrangements and everything, and he handled that. The care was fantastic, and everything was perfect there. We just don't have any complaints whatsoever, and if anyone in the future needs that, we definitely would go there. The staff was on the conservative side being an Alzheimer's site, but they were fantastic.
