My father was transferred to Courtyard last July after a stroke that complicated dementia. He was ambulatory and talkative, wanting to be helpful. They transferred him to Courtyard, where we were happy the first week, as there are 2 RNs who are lovely. The aids are less responsive /connected and most residents are parked in front of the TV. When Dad exhibited irritation and fear at one point, they recommended more drugs, then called him a fall risk. Ultimately, after requesting to meet his doctor for 2 MONTHS and never being able to, they said he needed to be "sent out" to have his drugs adjusted. We feel that Bethany Courtyard is not a place for anyone with dementia/Alzheimer's unless they are late stage. They can't deal with the typical things that come with the disease, in most cases. We moved him to Cincinnati and immediately were able to speak with doctors. There aren't many choices, but Bethany didn't work for us.

My brother was in this facility for three months. During that time they not only ignored my requests for him to see a podiatrist they put pressure stocking on a diabetic. He is out of the facility now with a raging staph infection, loss of one toe and the looks like he will have to have his leg amputated. The food is horrendous, the staff is lazy, do not follow through and there is no supervision. For one of the months I had to pay over 13,000 dollars.

I've toured Bethany Lutheran and they sent me some pictures, brochures and price list. They're outlandish and expensive, I spoke with someone who stayed there, and she was not happy with the way the Bethany was run.

This facility continues to amaze me with the quality of care that is given to the residents. The facility is always so clean, the staff is so welcoming and the nurses always provide the best care. My great aunt has been a resident there for over a year and she loves being there. She feels at home and does not feel the stigma of certain estended care facilities while there. She and I have nothing but great things to say!

The staff is extremely friendly, the nurses are great, the amenities are very nice!It is a very clean and well manicured facility. My relative is very happy there. The only negative is that the rooms are very bare and are not very personal for people that permanently live there.
