After my mom’s stroke, she needed an assisted living home. After a stay at Marjorie P Lee, which was great, we moved her to the Deupree Cottage. The professionals and staff were great and made a bad situation as best as possible. Mom loved her room, we were able to paint it a color she loved and we moved in a good number of furniture pieces from her home in NW Ohio. While it wasn’t home, it was the next best thing. The living room and dining areas are exceptional as the facility is designed as a home, not a nursing home. The outdoor garden area is also attractive and enjoyable for any resident. I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking about such a facility, consider an ERS facility. The leadership and management team, as well as facility staff, are tremendously committed to the residents.

Deupree Community was a very nice facility. The person who toured me around was very nice and informative. The place looked well attended and well cared for. It was not dirty and it did not smell. It looked very clean. The staff seemed very friendly. The rooms that I saw were small but nice. I saw the activity director working with some of the residents. They had a barber shop, a salon, a chapel, gift shops, and vending machines. It had a very nice living atmosphere.

The Duepree Cottages in Cincinnati is not healthy for the elderly because their furnace does not work. The people who live on the end rooms can't control the thermostat. This furnace has to room 4 other rooms first on 1 side then the other rooms might warm but my friends room is always cold. The heat comes on only if 4 other rooms get warm first if a resident wants there room cold then my friends room will be cold. The furnace is a joke. It is set up to heat or cold 4-5 rooms all over the facility. So there might be 10 areas of 5 rooms that have to heat first the last rooms get what's left over which the freezing air the thermostats do not work it is dangerous

THIS IS FAIRLY NEW FACILITY. MY FATHER LIKES IT. MY ONLY ISSUE IS HE NEEDS HELP TO SHAVE AND WASH. THEY MAY NEED MORE STAFF SO ALL RESIDENTS GET 3 SHOWERS PER WEEK OR HELP BATHING THEMSELVES? tHE DINING ROOM IS NICE. THE ROOMS ARE A NICE SIZE. STAFF ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL I AM PERPLEXED WHY BATH TIME IS SO DIFFICULT STAFF IS FRIENDLY. .
