Chatham Ridge Assisted Living was clean, and everyone was very friendly and professional. The only thing that I would say that I had a problem with was that they were not clear on specific diets if someone had dietary restrictions. They were not able to accommodate any dietary restrictions such as gluten free if someone had celiac disease. We sampled the food, and it was OK. They had a small activity room, a movie theater room, and a salon.

I chose Chatham Ridge Assisted Living because I was impressed with my visit. I liked what they said about their approach in caring for residents in their assisted living. It's a beautiful community. We had a good experience, the staff members were really good people, and the communication was great. I felt like they were trying hard to give my parents the best care. There are things they could add more of, like in the outside area. The building is shaped like an X, and the memory care is fenced in with a door that leads from the memory care and out into that fenced yard area. I think it would be nice to do that on the other side, like they could fence that area and there's a door where the residents could access it from the inside. There are living rooms in each wing with a door that opens out into the yard space that's alarmed, so you can't go out to the yard space without setting off the alarm, unless they get someone to open it for them. They had a really nice space there that they're not able to use right now; it would be nice if they fence the yard and put some benches in so the residents could use that area more. They also had activities planned for the people there. Compared to other senior living places in the area where the pricing was more a la carte, the fixed fee in this one made it easier to know your budget each month.

Chatham Ridge Assisted Living has assisted living and there's also a small unit for dementia patients. My wife is in the small unit and we're hoping that she will move to assisted living shortly. The staff so far has been pretty good. They're allowing her to assist them in the various things that they do for the other residents. They have shared apartments in the dementia unit. They have good days and bad days. The facility is pretty nice and well kept. She is allowed to go places and walk outside, which is very good for her.
