My parents are now at the The Ambassador of Scarsdale. It seems like a great place. The facilities are beautiful. The people seem to be on top of everything there and seem to care. Given the circumstances, my parents are about as happy as they can be there. I have no complaints about the food. It is probably the best food they have had in that type of place.

We saw The Ambassador of Scarsdale. I liked the facility. I liked the staff, and the price was obviously right. I just thought it was clean, neat, organized and very professional. I only talked to two employees. The facility itself is beautiful. The outside is beautiful. They had a beautiful garden courtyard area. In the memory care unit, they have a TV room, activity room, and nice beautiful little lunch room.

The Ambassador of Scarsdale had care from beginning to end. We didn't see any of the units, but the person who took us around was very excellent and understood the needs of the citizens, meaning many people need continued progressive care. The director of the unit was very knowledgeable. The buildings themselves were very good and modern and the location was excellent. It's between where we live and White Plains and isn't far from the people we know. To go to these places requires a monumental shift in our lifestyle because this place is extremely expensive. If we get sick or anything, they have more medical backup and the ability to continue on. If you need to use your long-term health insurance, which we do have, the pay for it would be acceptable.

My mother who has Alzheimer's is treated with understanding, love and respect in this beautiful setting. She's been there more than a year - we feel nothing but gratitude towards the very caring administration and staff.

My parents moved into The Ambassador’s Assisted Living two months ago, and so far my family is very pleased with the care and services they’ve received. For our parents who are unable to live independently anymore, the Ambassador seems to be a very good choice. Management: The Ambassador’s professional care management team seems incented to provide high-quality care and services. They are hands-on, accessible, responsive and flexible for our needs. Their assessments of my parents’ care needs, set-up and ongoing delivery have been excellent. They show empathy and a deep understanding of aging. Size: In comparison to larger, more bureaucratic institutions in the area, the Ambassador is a moderate size – which is better for offering an intimate and personal touch (management greets most residents by name). The physical layout is logical and manageable. Meals: the food is wonderful; excellent taste and healthy, balanced nutrition. The serving staff are wonderfully caring; just genuinely nice people. Staff: the vast majority of the staff (nurses, aides, cleaning, concierge, social, PT, maintenance, security and other support) seem sincere, kind and dedicated. Activities: A reasonable amount of diverse activities for the residents. Facility: A new building with high quality construction, design and upkeep. Well-lit, comfortable climate. Are there problems in providing care for an elderly population? Sure. The high costs of being in Westchester County. The occasional social kerfluffle or minor misunderstanding, but nothing major. NET: Overall, based on the numerous positive factors discussed above, I highly recommend the Ambassador.

The Ambassador of Scarsdale is much smaller and newer compared to the other places we’ve seen. The staff is attentive. The furnishings, room, and construction seemed a little more upscale.

My first complaint, why would they call it The Ambassador of Scarsdale if its located in White Plain's. Its very misleading and not a warm place to visit. People seems cold, not very friendly and a lot of hot air being blown my way. I felt like I was at a cheap car salesman. However the place is new and very pretty, just doesn't have the stability I am looking for my parents. The food wasn't good at all, over processed and generic. Staff doesn't smile and seem unhappy. I do not recommend.

Everything seems to be suitable for someone to be able to live at The Ambassador. We haven’t sampled the meals but from seeing what they served and the activities it looks like it’s a very appropriate place. The thing that we were considering for my mother was its proximity to her home and also it was very easy for kids that live nearby. A big factor is that my mom uses a cane to get around. She really can’t work for distances and possibly the room relevant to where all the other activities were going on was also important. There’s an elevator in getting down to all their activities on the main floors. It was very convenient. They have various card games, bridge, arts and crafts, a place for you if you are interested in painting, they also have a computer center so that if you don’t have your own equipment you have access to go to the internet right there. They’ve got people come in and giving talks on social activities and that’s local activities in Westchester County. They have a well stock library. There are little spots off the building where you could come and meet two or three people, for a chat or play cards. You don’t have to go down to the main floor to do that. It was very nice.
