My mother has moved into Wolk Manor Enriched Living Center. They're very welcoming. The sales associate who gave us the tour, my mom's aides and nurses, the staff, the concierge, everyone knows who she is. They're very kind. They know the family. We're able to call any time, night or day, and we feel very confident that she's being cared for in a way that's appropriate to her needs. She has a one-bedroom apartment, and it's lovely. It has a kitchenette, so she has a small refrigerator with a very small freezer, a microwave, and a sink. She's got a nice sized bedroom, a nice sized living space, and closet space. The hallways and everything are well maintained with fresh paint and fresh carpet. It feels like an apartment. It doesn't feel like a nursing home. They had a studio apartment as well. They have a beauty salon, a library, two large dining rooms, and the dining rooms are nice. They have white tablecloths for dinner, and they're less formal for lunch. They have three meals and a decent menu. My mother is not super enthralled with the food. It's pretty bland, but other than that, I give it an extremely high rating. It's expensive, but it had the nicest apartment of all the ones that we toured.

The room is very nice, and we like Alison in "sales." Kathy, the general manager, and Brittany the nurse manager were great about answering emails at first, but when dad needed some adjustments, they became uncooperative and decided it would be a good idea to "gaslight" me for asking (nicely and effectively) for some small changes (such as hydration!) He likes the food. He likes being able to go over to the Summit and he's met some nice people there. At dining, they have put him with three others. One is a good conversation/table member and two others are rude/obnoxious and unpleasant. They don't match with appropriate "table mates" the way they promised, and my dad is 100% crisp and a scholar-mind. He is happy with the meals and the variety of choices. He likes the library and the country kitchen. It's impossible to use the lounge after 8 pm because the minute the residents go to bed (early for the most part) it becomes a staff lounge, so it's really not an option for family time spent outside of the resident's room. The staff leaves a lot of mess behind them when they use the country kitchen. Overall we were promised far more than dad has received and I cannot begin to articulate my disappointment at the quality of care. Worst is the manager Kathy and the nurse manager Brittany who don't want to be bothered with making things better and safer for the residents.

Wolk Manor Enriched Living Center is relatively small. They're very highly rated in the community. They have nice rooms and we liked the people that we interacted with. They provide mom with a small fridge and a microwave in her little kitchenette. The staff is friendly and they have some activities every day.

We placed my father in the memory care unit at The Lodge at Wolk Manor. Only 18 residents are there. They're locked in, so they can't get out or escape. Whenever we go to visit, the door has to be unlocked for us. We're very pleased with everything. The facility is excellent, state-of-the-art, and clean. The staff is excellent. We're very happy with the care, and he's doing much better there. The food is very good and kosher because the facility is a Jewish place. The residents eat according to the dairy and meat schedule.

My mother is moving into Wolk Manor. It is a good living space. The people are very caring, and we're pleased because it's very close to where we live. They do have some activities, and the food is good.

The nursing care is compassionate, skilled and very reliable. The facility is clean and beautifully appointed. The meals served our excellent. There is not as much variety and opportunities for stimulation offered through their Activities Program.

We moved my mom, with mid-stage Alzheimer's, from her home to Wolk Manor. My mom, frankly, is not the easiest person in the world, but we were delighted with the care she received at Wolk. The staff was generous with their time and responsive to her needs. A couple of the staff members formed special relationships with her -- taking extra time to visit with her when able. Though Wolk is affiliate with the Jewish center in Rochester, I would not hesitate to recommend it to non-Jewish residents, provided they are religiously tolerant. However, if you are Jewish, they do have very nice (optional) Shabbat dinners and holiday
