My mom has been living in Heather Heights for two weeks now. It's a smaller facility. I think they provide more personalized and individualized care. The staff is very caring, I was surprised to see how involved they are. She finds the food to be fine, and their dining room was set up very nicely. It's a very small, clean, and pleasant environment. They keep the residents busy, they have games, and people come in and sing to the residents there. People are pretty much busy. They're doing everything just fine so far. I think it's good value for the money.

Heather Heights had very nice rooms and the residents were seemingly happy. They offer in-house physicians that are experts with the elderly. It's a very cheery place. The staff were very engaged and friendly. They clean the room daily, but they only deep clean every two weeks and that concerned me a little bit. Also, they do not accept Medicaid. It's direct pay only. Other than that, they were great.

I went to Heather Heights Located in Pittsford NY. I liked that they have enhanced care. It was good. There's nothing that stood out to me as horrible or anything. If dad had to go there, I'd be OK with it. It's like standard assisted living with enhanced levels of care, and they have a memory care unit, which is locked down. There was a different smell in the memory care unit that was less pleasant. It was a standard approach, not a specific memory care approach. They had some nice things, like a display cabinet outside each room. They called it their memory cabinet, and the residents could put knickknacks or whatever from their house and pictures and things to remind them of their life and that was nice. There just wasn't anything spectacular about it. I only met one person and she was one of the assistant directors there that gave us the tour. She was very nice and very knowledgeable. She's good at what she does. We were there at lunchtime and the food looked good and they looked well made on the spot. We tasted their cookies and they were very good.

Heather Heights was a very nice facility. The tour experience was very positive. It was a very clean facility. The residents seemed happy. There seemed to be good things to do. The staff seemed to be abundant. They did not seem to have a shortage of staff. It was well organized. The staff who gave us a tour was excellent. Everybody seemed to know her. Everybody seemed to interact with her in a positive fashion. She was very good. She showed us the cafeteria, and they had a menu. They had a physical fitness therapy room. They had a cool ice cream fountain kind of thing that was open in the afternoons. They had a hairdresser. The staff also showed us the rooms themselves, which seemed very neat, orderly, and clean. She said that they had bird feeders, so the residents could see and hear the birds through the front window. They had patio spaces where residents could sit outside in the spring and summertime, which we kind of liked.

We went to Heather Heights in Pittsford. The person who gave the tour was excellent and very knowledgeable, and she's been with Heather Heights for almost 20 years now. It says a lot about the facility when you've got people that have been there that long in this industry. We probably would have chosen them had they had a one-bedroom apartment available. The building was beautiful, but the apartment was tired. It needed an update. It had an institutional feel to it. They had a calendar of activities for their residents. They had a nice dining room and a small exercise room.

I had a very nice tour of Heather Heights in Pittsford. Alyssa was the coordinator. She showed us around. She gave us a lot of good information about what they can offer and what was available. She was very knowledgeable, so she did a great job giving us an idea of what it would be like if we moved our family member there. She was very easy to talk to. I thought it was very well laid out. It was a more intimate setting because there are only 24 beds in my understanding, so it's smaller. But they did a nice job with the layout and what was available for people as far as being able to walk around and having space. It needed a little bit of updating like it looked like it needed painting. Some of the furniture was ripped. It was probably more of a four-star than a five- star because it was just a little outdated. Like if they had just kind of painted the walls and redid the furniture, it would make a huge difference. We saw the courtyard. That would be part of memory care. But we saw the main entrance, the main lobby, that's part of their assisted living area. That had a more updated look, which I thought was interesting, that had a much nicer feel to it and better furniture and all of that. So when you stepped back into the memory care, there was a sense of, "Oh, this isn't as well maintained as the rest of the facility." There wouldn't be any appliances in the memory care. They did have a kitchen that people could hang out in. They did have the furniture and all of that, so I did see that, which was perfectly fine.

We visited Heather Heights. It's very pleasant, clean and well-appointed. The staff who assisted us there seemed very friendly and efficient. Their activities were pretty much the same as they were in all of the homes we visited. They supplied all the furniture, which was different from others. They have music coming in, bingo, movies, and they have an ice cream bar. It seemed to be very nice, and clean, the menus were laid out on the tables. The rooms were light, airy, and bright.

Heather Heights was absolutely beautiful. It was a "five" all the way around. From the moment you walked in, it was beautiful, and it had a big entrance. Everything was clean and organized. It was just the way you would want something to look. We got to see everything. We saw a couple of rooms, the dining facilities, and the activity room. They have lots of events going on: exercise, movies, arts and crafts, cooking, travelogues, and all the things you can find in any place like that. The only negative thing was the price is very prohibitive. The kitchen was beautiful. We got to go in the back and talk to a couple of the chefs. Everything was just great.

We have been working with Erin at Heather Heights. We visited the facility and as it was a lovely place, we discovered that it was not the right fit for my father. (My father would benefit more from a traditional assisted living/independent home) I absolutely can see how this home would benefit many people if the fit is on point. The employees are helpful, kind, caring and truly seemed to take an interest in the sweet people living there. If you are ever given the opportunity to visit this home....take it! This might just be the place that you have spent endless hours looking for! Thank you Erin and all those at Heather Heights for your time and honesty in the consideration of my father's future home!!! Blessings to all that work and live at Heather Heights!

I'm quite satisfied with Heather Heritage for my father. He's gained weight, and he seems to be settling in fine. The staff is friendly and cooperative, and I've only talked to them on the telephone most of the time. His room is private, it's quite large for one person, and the furniture is more than adequate.

We chose Heather Heights. My aunt is already living there, and the initial visit was wonderful. Because of COVID, everything was done virtually, but the intake administrator is just amazing. It was our first choice, and they really had more all-inclusive services for us. That was one of the reasons why we chose them; very personal, and very easy to talk to. They understood the situation that we were in, and what we were looking for. They have a lot of different tiers of service. They have an on-staff doctor connected directly with the University of Rochester, a gerontologist. They have a podiatrist, and a dentist that come to the facility. It just felt really good to us. We were looking more inclusive because we knew that my aunt initially would need a high level of care, and there was that flexibility of switching between those different levels of care within the same community. We didn't want to have to move her out of a different community if she needed a higher level of care. They have enhanced care, and they have memory care service. My aunt has been there for about a month now, but we have been very impressed with the intake process and the communication that we have had with the staff. They really just understand. She is in assisted living with enhanced care. She didn't right now need the memory care that she will likely need moving ahead at some point within the next year or two maybe. What's really nice is she can stay in the apartment that she's in, and those services are just added on. There is always flexibility in the services. She is in her own apartment but she needs enhanced care. She's in there because she had surgery so once she moves into that more independent stage, they can take off that enhanced care but she would not have to move; she would still be in that room or that space in the facility. If she needed memory care, it would just be another component added on. There's a lot of flexibility in the way those services are offered. My aunt has not complained about the food. Their dining facility is really nice. They sit down, they are served, and they place an order. It's kind of like going to a restaurant in a way. They have a set menu everyday. From what I see, the menu choices look really wonderful, but I don't have first-hand experience of it. My aunt refuses to participate in any activities, but they're certainly available to her throughout the day. They offer different types of activities and what they offer is diverse. The staff are very interactive with the residents. It is expensive because we're paying for enhanced care, but when we were looking for an inclusive space, it's pretty reasonable compared with other places. It is more all-inclusive for all those services. I would highly recommend them. She has only been there a month, but we've been very happy with the whole process with them. They made it very, very easy to get her there. I'm very happy.

My father is in Heather Heights. He has a two-room apartment, which is one of the larger ones in that place. It's kind of smallish, but it's OK for what it is. They do a good job. The food is good. They allowed us to use the private dining room for our family dinner, and I was pleased with it. They go out at least once a week to the grocery store or sightseeing. They have an ice cream shop there and movies to show.

I'm very impressed with Heather Heights. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They have Bingo, a lot of musicians coming in, movies several times a week, so they keep them busy all the time. They also have day trips. They have a physical therapy room, library, ice cream parlor, a very nice dining room, and several sitting areas outside under canopies. My sister is in their assisted living.

Heather Heights is a very nice place, clean, well taken care of, and they seem to do a good job with the people who are in there. Mom's private deluxe suite was completely remodeled, has an all new sink, toilet, brand-new hardwood floors, and it was all repainted. It's very nice and clean in there, and it's like a new place. They do Bingo and exercises. They also sometimes bring in animals from the outside. Today they had a bird there and they also brought in a miniature horses. They also have an ice cream parlor. The pricing is reasonable and definitely comparable.

Heather Heights was clean and seems pretty well managed. It’s a quiet facility and seems like a good thing. They had food choices, they just don’t get one thing. They had an ice cream parlor too. They have the enhanced program for memory care, which means they can do a little extra for the person instead of putting them in the nursing home.

My mother is in Heather Heights of Pittsford; it is fairly new, the staff is very nice, and it's a very welcoming place. The layout and the staffing stood out for me. They have movies and music, and they have ice cream every day. They have an ice cream parlor right on the grounds that they open up every day for everybody.

We took a visit at Heather Heights, and we’re comfortable about it. It was just an open place, and they didn’t act like they owned my loved one. They were willing to work with trying to get her to eat what she wanted. They just went above and beyond their needs. It was just a good place. They had chair yoga and bingo. What we really like is they played music, they had live music three times a week, and musicians and bands come in and play. It was really nice, but it's too pricey.

At Heather Heights, they have the services that my friend needs. The staff was great. The supervision staff, desk staff, and daytime staff have been supportive. They’re not all doing the same job, so there’s different people for different things.

My father was at Heather Heights for respite week while I went on vacation. It was very nice. The apartments seemed to be well taken care of. Everybody was very considerate and patient. They had sing-a-longs. The dining area was very beautiful, but very expensive, like $2,000 a week. The staff and the nurses were very considerate.

Heather Heights has a nursing home atmosphere. They only have single rooms. I needed an apartment for my mother-in-law. It is a very old community that is not active. The only activity that I saw that they were having was a happy hour and an ice cream social. To improve the place, they probably need a bigger facility.

Heather Heights of Pittsford was very nice. The staff was very pleasant. Their rooms were more like the studio type instead of apartment type. It's more of a memory care facility, and I just didn't think it was suitable for my mother.
