The Northfield was very worn down and not inviting. The room size was great. They have a separation, but they need to give their walls, their doors, and everything just a clean up. It's just drabby. The paint was already scratched off. The staff was friendly, but not overly friendly. I felt like they seemed bothered when I was there.

I toured The Northfield, and I believed they called it enhanced assisted living where the residents can go to assisted if they needed. They can just increase their services, everything is included and I like that situation. I had high hopes for this place. I like this place except they didn't have any apartments available at the time so I had to look at an apartment with someone living there. It's too small for 2 people, but it's very clean. There seemed to be a lot of activity and I was there closer to lunch time. The person who toured me was very good and very helpful, he answered all my questions and told me what's going on and I was most appreciative.

The Northfield was a very nice facility. The staff was very good and accommodating, and we may use them in the future. The rooms were lovely and bigger than what we needed.

We liked everything at The Northfield. We sampled the food, and everything was good. The staff was friendly. It looked like they had an interesting monthly plan for the activities with lots of stuff and shopping trips.

My sister loves The Northfield and they are affiliated with Fairport Baptist Home. They have a dedicated Alzheimer’s Unit which is right next door. They have 24hr nursing care. We’ve met all the nurses, the director, the activities director, and the chef who have all been wonderful. We had lunch there which was their main meal. There were four choices, and the food was prepared very well -- considering the fact that my sister-in-law is a diabetic -- but they have taken very good care of her and the meals are great. We are very happy with them. She has an apartment with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a bath. They have morning devotions, they go on bus trips, they have several music nights, sing-a-longs, game nights, and happy hour on Fridays so they have a lot of activities. The best thing I like about it is when she runs out of money, they don’t get rid of her, they work with us to keep her there, and we don’t have to find another facility.

The Northfield is just a beautiful-looking place, and it’s located on a big lot, so it’s kind of private. The rooms are actually little apartments, and they have a dining room where they eat together. The staff is very friendly, and all the people that live there are very happy.
