Albany Center, an Adult Home, is good. It's a very small facility. There are only 66 residents at this point, and that's full. My mom just filled the one spot that they had. She's on the first floor. It's a very nice room, and it's very clean inside the room. They have Wi-Fi and cable TV included. If you want a private phone, you have to contact Verizon for that. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The residents are equal in competency and need to my mom, which puts her right in her peer group. The administrator of the building was very knowledgeable. He gave us a tour and showed us stuff like a recreation area and the media area. They have a beauty salon that my mom can go to, and we have set up an account for that. He was very helpful. My mom has already moved in. The meals looked good. Last night, they had a cheese pizza, which looked very good. The other time I was in there, they had a nice slice of ham with mashed potatoes, and it looked good, too. For activities, there's bingo, and they have a walking group where they go and walk around with their walkers. They have movie nights, and they have Bible studies, too. My mom's room is a very good-sized room. It has full bath with assist bars in there available. It has a very spacious bathroom, bigger than my bathroom here at home. It's very well lit. The floors are hard linoleum. I asked her if she wants a rug, but she prefers the linoleum. It has a single bed. It comes with a side table, a small round tabletop thing where you could eat snacks, and two chairs. It has a dresser, TV, and cable hookup, and there is a small hallway connecting everything. The place is a little bit older and there are some places where they could use a little repair, but overall, it's fine. Given the age of the building, it's fine.

I did not like Albany Center, an Adult Home, at all. The woman that gave us the tour was very friendly, and although the price was right, it was a lot cheaper than where my father is staying now. We're not impressed with it at all. It was older. It was nowhere near as nice as the other places that we visited. The rooms were small and dingy looking. It was not a nice, upscale place, and they did not offer us food there like the other places did.

I toured Albany Center, an Adult Home. The people were very nice and the residents seemed happy. The room was acceptable, but you can't cook in the room at all, whereas the other place I toured had a kitchenette in the room. The staff seemed very good. Their activities seemed good, it was a broad range of different kinds of activities. They have a library and a computer for residents to use, they have a physical therapist, and the amenities are good. It's an older building and not as plush as the other place was.
