My mother moved to Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. It is well-kept and well staffed. They seemed to be very capable, and responsible and met the needs of the residents quite well. They have a library, common spaces, cafe space, and outdoor spaces. We chose this place because of its affordability, the quality (as far as the value for what you pay), and its proximity to where I live.

I am staying at Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. The outside is always impeccable and very well kept, as is the inside. They have two different kinds of studio apartments and a one-bedroom apartment. The one-bedroom goes to couples. I have a studio, but it is very roomy. Everybody is friendly, caring, loving, and concerned. I have yet to meet any staff member that is not pleasant. The meals are excellent and more than sufficient. There are always activities going on. They have communion twice a week, mass on Sunday mornings that's televised, and bible studies. We have a gorgeous fireplace. We will gather around the fireplace and have hot chocolate and stories. There's bingo three times a week and outings. We have live entertainment at least once a week. It's called our happy hour. Nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages are available, all at no charge, and part of the package. There's exercise twice a day. The rent is hefty, but you get a pretty good package. The only thing that I'm having issues with is that the rent goes up every year. We have a nurse on duty every day. A doctor comes in once a week. A podiatrist comes in once or twice a week. Our garbage usually gets taken out every day. A cleaning lady comes in once a week and vacuums stuff and whatever needs to be done. Once a week they come in and change your sheets. They'll take your laundry, and it'll come back all washed and folded up. So overall, I would say it couldn't get much better.

My mother has moved into Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. Everything was on one floor. I got to meet the staff. Everyone is very nice. The apartments are good. I like the choices of the meals, which is a big plus. The dining area is roomy enough to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. I haven't tasted the food, but Mother said she is satisfied with it on a couple of occasions. The facility seems very nice. They have a pond with a spray and walking area. It is roomy enough. I think we're getting our money's worth. They have therapists there. Overall, it's very good. She hasn't participated in activities yet, but the people have given compliments. They have a weekly tour where they can take people if they're interested in going someplace. They have games. I've seen the activities on the calendar, and it looks like they give everyone a full day. She has only played bingo so far. I've been very pleased with what I've seen. The head person there or the manager met me in the hallway today. I had a question, and she accommodated me immediately. For someone with so many responsibilities, she's very good.

I will be moving my mother into Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. She liked it. It impressed us the most of all the places. The staff was friendly, professional, and patient. Some places just offer more. They have a courtyard, dining room, cafe, and a gym.

My father moved into Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. It's warm, it's loving. The food is incredible, activities are plenty. And it's just been a wonderful experience, so much better than we could have ever anticipated. They provide transportation. His apartment is lovely, perfect for him, he's very happy. It accommodates everything he needs. They have exercise and a shared space where people can entertain if they want. People can go get open snacks. It's like the whole facility is his home, it's not just the room. I have no complaints.

I visited the Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate for my mom. The woman that gave me the tour was excellent. The only thing is the room wasn't an apartment, it was more like a small hotel room and my mother doesn't want that. There seemed to have been enough cleaning. I liked that they have little pull tabs in the wall, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, in case you fall. I took a peek at their dining area and it looked fine. I was given truffles on the way out that the chef made. I didn't see anything going on but they had a sheet of activities for the residents.

Jen was wonderful giving me a very thorough tour of the facility. Between the activities and the rooms, not to mention the joy I felt from the residents, I asked if I could move there.

I liked Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate. The rooms were bigger because it's older, and they're doing some fresh updating right now. I liked that it was in a woodsy type area like that. There were a lot of trees and things like that around the building that were smaller than most of the ones I visited. I like that too. It's only assisted living. There's no memory care attached to it. I found it to be a very nice facility. The staff was very thorough, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. She gave me some truffles on the way out, and it was delicious. They had a courtyard. They do have lots of walking paths outside the building. They had little places to sit in the front. It's really cute.

The setting of Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate is lovely. It's very peaceful looking. My sister lives there and it's a very attractive living area with a piano and fireplace. The grounds are always nice. They have trails that they can walk or they can sit on the porch on a comfortable rocker. The dining room is lovely and she seems to like all the food. They certainly try to be very helpful to their residents and give them an atmosphere that seems a lot like home. They have concerts, some kind of a word game that everybody seems to enjoy, an art class (she has painted and she seemed to enjoy doing that), a yoga class, physical therapy, and a lot of different activities that are good for their minds. My sister loves the staff. The people that run it are very competent and friendly. They are nice to the residents and each other. She thinks they are wonderful and everybody seems to know everybody. They greet all the residents by their first name and that's very nice. Right now, they're painting and replacing the carpeting with flooring, which would be easier for people with walkers and easier for the maintenance, too, because it's very difficult to get stains out of carpeting. The one gripe that my sister has is that the only newspaper they're getting in daily is Times Union. Now, a lot of people like to read things in The New York Times or the Schenectady Gazette. They should have those other papers available. Other than that, I would suggest this place to anyone. I really would. It doesn't have the feeling of a nursing facility, but it feels like an apartment living where people are all friendly and very nice.

I toured Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate, which was very nice. They were still undergoing renovations. The location was OK. It had been the first choice until I saw their other location. The bathrooms were smaller, which I wasn't really thrilled about. It just looked like they would be harder to maneuver in if you were using a walker or something like that. That's the only downside. They were fantastic with the tour. I met a lot of people when I went through on the tour, and they all seemed very nice. They did tell me that their chef was a culinary institute graduate. They sent me home with cake pops that were phenomenal. The surrounding area was very nice. They were surrounded by woods and stuff, which is another thing why they were the first choice with what I had seen so far. They were in a nice location, and they had outdoor space where they were really close to stores, restaurants and stuff. You wouldn't know it by where they're physically located. You didn't hear the noise, and you didn't see anything.

I feel safe here, when I was in my own apartment, I was all alone without help. Now, I have everything I need, mostly peace of mind. For me, it was the right decision at the right time and my family is very happy!

It was an older, really small community. The man who gave us a tour was very good. The place was friendly, plus the people seemed like they were in an older group. The rooms were small.

The staff give me the support that I need. The people are wonderful. My room is very nice, and the dining room is fabulous. We have a chef, and the food is very good. They have movies every night and games as well. We also go shopping. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My mother-in-law is in here. I find that it is an adequate facility. I sense that the residents are kept safe, well-fed, and clean. It is not a luxurious facility. There are aspects of the building that are not as first rate as they can be largely because of the age of the facility. There are many activities, and there seems to be very caring personnel. I think that I am satisfied. The dining room is welcoming. The food is varied. There is a chef from the Culinary Institute of America. They attempt to make the meals appealing. They seem to have many choices. The one thing that is clear is that the size of the dining room is not sufficient for the number of residents, but they do have two sittings. Indirectly, that is a good thing because I know that at many places have controversies for what time they like to eat. There are always people that are early risers who eat dinner early and go to sleep early, and there are people who feel that that is too early. So by actually having two sittings, they are probably being more accommodating to their residents' needs.

I liked the location, the cleanliness, and the friendliness. The rooms were very big. They were nice rooms. They had a full bath and a kitchen. The staff was kind and friendly. The dining area was clean, neat, and organized. It was a well-structured and modern building.
