My parents lived at Beverwyck for about 10 years, and I was very impressed by the facilities and the caring, committed staff. Staff always knew them by name and were always aware of any major health challenges they faced. Their unit was extremely nice and they were able to live independently but also have meals in the dining area whenever they wished. They made many close, long-term friends at Beverwyck, as there were lots of activities for residents. I can't say enough good things about the Beverwyck and will look for a similar place for myself when the time comes.

We toured Beverwyck. What I liked best about it was how warm and friendly it was. Linda was very nice. She was so easy to talk to and very friendly. The place was so warm and cozy. We even talked to one of the cleaning people there who were just so friendly and upbeat. I loved the way they had the place decorated for fall and for me, probably they decorate it for all different seasons. What I liked least about it was that it was not all on one floor. It was two stories. So you didn't have to use an elevator, but you didn't have to go down very long halls or anything, and that was nice. We saw a couple of empty rooms that had been cleared out, repainted, and cleaned. They looked nice and clean, with lovely views. I love the gardens they have. They have beautiful gardens and places to sit in the sunshine and be able to watch birds and so forth, maybe wildlife.

Beverwyck was friendly, competent, and informative. The facility seems clean and accessible. One reason I'm on a list is I'm waiting for a particular style of apartment that I like, and there aren't many of them. I like that they have some rooms, like the one I'm hoping for, which have a beautiful view and that was nice. Laurie is the marketing director there and she gave me lots of time. My son and sister were with me, and she was very welcoming of them and explained the money part of it so I could understand it. I liked that there was an indoor pool, that there was a room where they were showing films, and that they were redoing the library. I like a good library. They have a lot of hiking/nature trails and I liked that as well.

I toured Beverwyck. It's a multi-level of care. It's a very nice campus. I wasn't able to see any of the actual living spaces. I just viewed floor plans, but I did have an opportunity to walk around the building, and it was very nice. They told me all of the options for the rooms, but they're all occupied, so they weren't able to allow me in. The staff was very friendly, very informative. They have lots to offer. They have a library, a gym, a swimming pool, crafts, happy hour, and town hall meetings. They have everything you need.
