I was totally against putting my husband in this facility due to their reputation, But my husband is now in there for 3 months and my opinion has changed. I have to say the nurses and staff on the 1st floor are wonderful caring people. They are taking great care of him. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility.

The rooms aren't too bad. They are cleaned everyday. The staff are helpful for the most part aside from a few who do not have the bedside manner for this job. While I was there I heard nurses, one in particular, shouting at residents. To me this is unacceptable.Alot of the time you could find 3-5 resident helpers gathered at the desk eiithet just giggling or with their faces buried in their cell phones while call bells are going off.To me, this is unacceptable. Food was hit or miss going from good to virtually inedible. P.T. staff pretty much the same : put you on a machine for 20 minutes then walk away to gossip about other co-workers who were not there to defend themselves. There are exceptions of course, like my afternoon therapist. Overall I suggest avoiding this facility if you can.

There two weeks and have to BEG for sheets to be changed. Meals (if they come) are not nutritious. The other day, mystery meat on a bun and broccoli stems. That’s it. No fruit. No beverages. Broccoli STEMS?? Medication errors every single day. Pills found in bedding. She isn’t changed into or out of night clothes. Commode never cleaned. The waste just sits in there. Staff doesn’t wear ID badges. There is NO accountability. It’s awful. Simply awful.

Wife was in rehab program for several weeks. She made good progress and the therapists were excellent, the facility new and modern. However, while the lower level staff is generally nice, the higher ups are the problem. Rehab patients on insurance or private pay are valuable to them, so when the time came for my wife to leave, they said falsely that she had relapsed and it was not safe to leave. Said she needed two people to stand up and while they said it she stood alone. Then when took her out to go another facility they made it as difficult as possible for the other facility, refusing to supply information or legally required forms. The contract they use is very one sided. Wait times to call button usually long. Don't ever go there.

There's a shortage of CNA'S and wait times between pressing call button and response time can be 15/20 minuets with actual service can be 30 minutes more .

my mother had dementia and other health issues and they totally neglected her care and well being. Refused to check on her every 1/2 hour to see if she needed anything(restroom). They would not and told me protocol is every 2 hours. She had numerous falls during her stay there. The last time she fell she broke her hip. She was not a good candidate for surgery. She ended up passing away due to their neglect. Terrible place cause they caused my mothers death.

Front desk is completely unhelpful. I have a loved one in the facility and trying to call and speak to someone is like pulling teeth - very frustrating, the front desk/receptionist is exceptionally rude - she treats you like you're interrupting her day by calling - she's unhelpful and unprofessional. Crown Point beware - the person that answers your phone is a first point introduction to your business and sets the tone by representing your culture. Additionally - medication food restrictions are not followed - expect your loved one to be aware of what their restrictions are and speak-up or not eat the wrong foods. This is a very dangerous practice.

They only have one phone for the unit that my father is in it takes from 15 to 30 minutes to talk to him and that is only if the one and only cordless phone is available. If it is not, then you have to start the whole process over again.

My grandpa has been a resident of the facility for the last 9 months and I can't express enough how grateful I am for the care he has received in those months. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the rehab team exceeds all of my expectations.

My dad was a patient in the rehab center. They were short-staffed and his care was very poor. Numerous discussions with staff members resulted in little change. He fell out of bed on a number of occasions and consistently lost weight. With a feeding tube in place, his nutrition and hydration was entirely controlled by medical staff at the facility. After 2 1/2 weeks we demanded a meeting with the staff physician which ultimately led to his being taken to the hospital. He died 24 hours later from severe dehydration and malnutrition. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

My father-in-law has been at the Crown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for less than a week, and so far, so good. The staff has been very nice, very helpful, and they seem to be giving great care. They are a little out of date, but the rooms themselves are clean. The bathrooms seem clean, yet there are odors, but I am sure it is just years of use by male patients. They have quite a few activities: they do movies, play games, and play cards. They seem to be very interactive with the patients. So far, the staff has been great.

My mom had been to Crown Center and they were very helpful. The staff was very caring and the care was good. The atmosphere seemed very pleasant. She seemed to manage okay as long as she could. She liked the food and it was okay. I would recommend them to others.
