CareOne at Valley was old. It was more like being in a hospital, like the rooms, the building. The facility itself was old. The woman during the tour was very nice. One section of the building is all new, but we didn't see the new side. We only saw the old side. They might be renovating and then moving because it just looked like a typical hospital.

Care One Valley neglected my mother. She was left without attention for 7-8 hrs a day. How do I know? I was there. Care Valley received a violation notice from the state for not having sufficient nurses and staff. This violation is just a slap on the wrist, that's it. My mother declined because of the lack of care at this facility. I give 1 Star for their lack of caring. Poor staff quality, food requirements full of mistakes. Their offices do not return phone calls. Executive offices are a joke.

I was very happy with the care that was given to my sister, they were patient, understanding, and sincere in their in their level of care. Their deep concern for the well being of my sister contributed to her recovery. The physical therapy staff was top notch, they exhibited an extraordinary amount of patience and understanding for a person with special needs. They were instrumental in my sisters recovery.

CareOne at Valley was good for the most part. It's hard to give that total attention to each resident the way they should. At one time, there was an issue and the managerial staff dropped what she was doing and took care of my mother, which I thought was good. The people there were great. You're met at the front by the receptionist which was nice, and I didn't see anything dirty and the place always smelled clean. The staff was always with her whenever she's walking. I think they need to have more activities.

My mother was in this facility for 16 days after experiencing a debilitating UTI. The care she received was outstanding! The nurses, aids, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, psychologists, doctors were all topnotch, professional and attentive to her needs. The staff was warm, caring and quick to respond to her every need. The menu was had a wide range of options, plus catered to my Mom's specific wants. The room was cleaned and disinfected daily. I want to make a special call-out to Glenda, her nurse, who helped arrange for an out-of-state emergency surgical procedure that my mother needed in the middle of her stay there. Glenda went above and beyond, and her passion for the well-being of her patients shined through. I also want to express thanks to Laurie Kleid who provided exceptional support to my Mom and our family during her stay. My mother left the facility stronger and equipped with the support needed to go back to her own home.

My father was a resident at this facility. He was immobile when admitted and within 2 weeks had a bedsore. The nurses decided on their own that he was a lost cause, and put him in the furthest room from the nurses station. They rarely came in to check in on him, and he wasn't turned regularly. There was one particular nurse who made jokes which my sister and I did not think was funny. My father has since passed away, from complications from the infections the bed sore causes. We were distraught and have lost a very important member of our family. :-(

I have been in a few other rehabs in my life for about 3 weeks each. From the time I walked in I was greeted T a courteous and smiling receptionist. The staff is very friendly and nice and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. Any time I needed help someone cane when I rang the buzzer. I cannot tell you how wonderful Fran the woman assigned to help me is. She cares very much for the people assigned to her. She stands out because of who she is. All the nurses and others I met had the same friendly attitude. Care One hires only good people. I love the activities there Recently attended French night with a beautiful singer . Some people were dancing and enjoying the songs while she sang. Then we were given a plate of a few French pastries. It was a fun time. I was treated to a nice Turkish chicken kebab dinner by the chef which was delicious. These r just a few reasons why I highly recommended Care One Westwood. Better than other places I have been to.

My husband was a patient at Care One at Valley for four months. We found the care he received was very good, the entire staff was very efficient and caring and went above and beyond answering all our questions and concerns and taking care of him as if he were their family. The nurses, especially Sonya and Glenda were very professional and compassionate friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this facility.

My aunt just celebrated her 95th birthday here and has never been healthier or happier. The staff is very caring and makes sure the residents participate in all the activities offered. I can’t believe the amount of really good food given at each meal. Although a difficult decision to make when one has to leave their home, I’m glad I made this facility my choice for her.

I was a patient at Care One in Westwood NJ for close to three weeks after recent open heart surgery. I found every person very caring and concerned for every patient's well being. My own needs were met every single day. From the administrative folks to the OT's & PT's, to the nursing staff everyone was kind, caring and attentive to each patient. The housekeeping staff was always around cleaning as well. I definitely would recommend Care One at Valley. Karen O'Toole

I've been to other facilities, and nothing else compares. They accommodated all my requests and we were to go above and beyond. I would highly recommend to others

This place is not what it used to be. Huge staff turnover, without proper training for new hires. Do your research. After repeat stays my dad says he'll never go back there again.

They must be having THEIR OWN family members posting reviews. This place is a nightmare! From the horrible Administrator on down, five star Medicare my behind! A neighbor of mine went there for rehab after breaking her elbow in a fall. A few weeks later, she died!!! Any facility that has "CareOne" in front of it, should be avoided at all costs!

My dad stayed at CareOne when he was recovering from his surgery. The staff was very nice. It was a completely different type of setting. It was more like in between a hospital and assisted living. He was in a semi-private room, and the situation depended on who his roommate was. You would never know who you were going to get. He had some roommates who didn't say anything, or some complained that he had his TV too loud. I guess that's part of the territory, but they looked on him constantly, like they should do. They gave him good care, and we had no complaints. He had physical therapy. Everybody was very nice and did a nice job. We never found him not taken care of when we went there. They were doing everything they could do, and I couldn't ask for anything more. While I was there, they would come in to sweep and mop the floor. One of his complaints was that his food was sometimes cold. I asked him why he didn't complain about it, and he said, "No, I don't want to cause any trouble." So I went and talked to the supervisor. I said, "My dad's food came cold, and that's not right." He said, "Oh, that shouldn't be. We'll take care of it." From then on, his food never came cold, they always made sure it came hot. He also liked omelets for breakfast, and they made sure that they brought him an omelet, whether it be cheese or western. He craved omelets almost every day, and he really enjoyed it. Some people won't ask, but all I did was make a phone call and they took care of it. I couldn't complain about that. He was happy there and had good care.

After surgery, they put my mom is at Caring One at Valley for rehabilitation. The facility is fine. The nurses are wonderful and give attentive care. The rooms are okay. It is five minutes from my home so I can see her every day.
