I have a relative at Complete Care in Westfield. She has been there about 5 weeks. I had a few issues but the management addressed them immediately. They corrected these items within a day/two. This place is so very clean! When you walk in there, you don't get the ill smells that many nursing facilities have. It is very clean and I really feel that I have made the best decision for my niece. If we ever need this service again, we know where to go, Complete Care, Westfield, NJ. Thanks so much

The facility looks beautiful. But STAY AWAY from this place!!I could write a book about the horrors my husband experienced during his 4 week stay there. He is in the hospital now where they are absolutely appalled at his condition, serious serious bed sores, among other things. His pain medicine "not available because it wasn't delivered",literally hours waiting for someone to answer a call bell, absolutely NO communication about anything because everyone you ask "is from an agency and doesn't know".if you can even find someone working there, which is a major challenge. And he was brought to the hospital without even notifying me.There were plans to bring him but the day before,no one knew anything about it and said I would just have to call 9-1-1.This facility needs to be investigated by the state and possibly shut down.Don't know if other places are like this, but a complete horror show!

Westfield Center was a very nice community and the staff was very good. The food wasn't that great, but other than that, the service was pretty good (except for the fact that on Sundays there weren't too many staff members around). The staff was very good and the social worker there was very good. I think it's worth the value for the money because they were very good. We also went through Medicare and Aetna.

This facility was nothing short of amazing for my grandmother. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by staff and taken care of right away. Her nurse was so nice and kept us up to date on all of grandma's progress and got her home safely! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

I took my husband to Genesis on a Friday. By Sunday he was complaining of shortness of breath. I asked that a pulmonologist be brought in to check him and was told a dr. would see him during the week. On Monday I informed the nurses that he wasn't breathing OK. I was told he checked out OK. when I went in to visit on Tuesday morn , I found him in his wheel chair un-responsive. I asked that they all 911 and was told "not yet". He had to be checked by the staff first. I called 911 myself and the EMTs took him to Overlook Hospital and he was put on a ventilator. He was on the ventilator for 3 days. Thankfully he survived - NO THANKS TO GENESIS. Very under staffed.

They were inattentive at Genesis Nursing Home and Rehab Center. The day that my husband was moving out of there, they had him sit and wait in a wheelchair, and he was soaking wet. They were just lazy, inattentive, uncaring individuals.

We are so very thankful for the compassionate care that was given to our Mom at Westfield Center. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. The Nursing and Rehab. staff were wonderful. Our Mom was treated with respect and kindness. We would definitely recommend Westfield Center to anyone who needs Rehab or Nursing care.

do not take your family member here!! my mother had two stays there. every day i battled with the nurses about giving her, her water pill. my mother suffers from congestive heart failure and it's extremely important not to build up the fluid. they constantly told me they couldn't give it to her bc of low blood pressure. lies! i walked in at close to noon. my mom had swollen legs, moaning in pain, her breakfast tray untouched. i asked the nurse when she got her pill. she told me she didn't give it bc she was sleeping. i told her if she spent 2 seconds and walked in she should have noticied her moans of pain and difficulty breathing. needless to say my mother also contracted bronchitis that also went untreated. i will be seeking legal action against the facility and the doctor who claimed to have seen her daily!

DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY! There are keys signs to know whether a facility will take care of your loved one properly. I write for an elder care attorney firm and I should have known better. This facility smells of urine and that is a key sign of care! This facility was recommended to me by a nurse so I dismissed the urine smell as "laundry" when I visited ahead but do not be fooled - they are leaving the residents soaked in urine. I'm devastated and just won a huge lawsuit against this facility due to the negligence of my loved one. They left him to basically die, not checking on him, although I was calling asking why he was not responding to his phone. The nursing staff is sub par at best. There was a woman in the room across the hall that would call to me all the time and she was covered in feces regularly - I alerted the aide one time and she said to me I'm too tired for this I'm not cleaning this mess i'm going to get someone else. Did she think it was okay because I wasn't the family? I immediately realized they were also doing this to my husband. Only days later though, then there was my tragedy from their proven negligence. Don't let this happen to you. DO NOT BE FOOLED.

The facility was very nice. The staff was very kind and caring, and were constantly making sure that everyone's needs were taken care of. Any issue with residents was solved in a timely manner to the best ability of the staff and faculty. The residence itself was also very nice, and was well kept. The grounds were very nice to walk around, and every resident seemed like they were enjoying the atmosphere. Every resident who I talked to expressed their overwhelming sense of satisfaction with the facility and its staff. As well as beautiful grounds, the facility also provides activities to participate in order to enjoy the time spent to the best of every resident's ability. Every resident had an opportunity to participate in an activity that they enjoyed. For example, the facility offered arts and crafts, musical sessions, and they had even recently installed a new Wii for the residents to play.
