The quality of care at this facility is unprecedented. The staff is caring and attentive to all of my moms concerns and go above and beyond to be sure she is happy. I highly recommend their assisted living facility to anyone looking for a safe and home-like place for their parents. Thanks Bridgeway!

My mom was at this facility from 11/21 to 2/22 when she passed. The food was terrible, some staff non caring and insensitive. Seems my mom was a problem because she wouldn't go in the diaper and got agitated with the staff. There were a few she did like and they cared for her. They want the patients to be drugged up so they can just lay in the bed. I tried to be her advocate. My mom passed in February and to this date the administration has not offered any type of sympathy or condolences. I was contacted by the social worker to pick up my mother's belongings after I had already picked them up and she looked me in the face as I was waiting for the items. I emailed the adm to let them know it was disheartening that noone reached out to me and stating what the social worker did and no reply. My mom didn't matter to them. Don't take your family here. They don't care and the care is not good.

Our mom was here for a while and after a staff change things were horrible. Mom called at least once a day crying, most days it was due to being sore and not clean. Towards the end she was constantly getting UTI’s which the East Wing Supervisor neglected and most times were noticed by my sister and myself. After talking to them and even to the Administrator she was still left to the point where 911 had to be called. Mom ended up passing from Sepsis Shock. Sadly, we tried to be her advocate but we were ignored.

They only seem to be interested in turnover (get them in and get them out), not results. After my father’s hip surgery, he was discharged with less than two weeks of rehab, and they claimed he was ambulatory, but he could not walk and needed 24/7 skilled in-home nursing care at our expense. The staff was even sly in discharging him on the weekend, when nobody (no rehab technicians, no doctors, and no social workers) were working.

In January my aunt fractured her pelvis and required physical therapy. She was 99 years-old and was completely self-sufficient, living in her own apartment and taking care of her own affairs prior to her fall. Enter Bridgeway at Bridgewater. We were concerned about her going to a facility even for a short stay given the COVID surge. After being assured by the Admissions staff that both their residents and staff had been vaccinated, we decided to send her there. Nine days into her stay, she contracted COVID. What they failed to mention was that patients and staff were not required to be vaccinated. Apparently that's their right. Unfortunately no one cared about my aunt's rights as they allowed an infected staff member into her room. Then they just let her stay there for a week until her condition deteriorated and she developed pneumonia before sending her to a hospital. We had to insist that she be transferred to a hospital. After a two month battle she passed away, due to the neglect she received from this facility. If you have a loved one who you truly care about, under no circumstances send them here. I should have followed the advice of a son who wrote about his father who also contracted COVID at the facility and died as a result of the lack of care received. Don't make my mistake. Keep far away from this facility.

My grandmother was at Bridgeway in their long term care wing. The people were just absolutely wonderful to my Nana and our family. Everyone in the place was so nice and helpful. Nana was at two other places in the area until we settled her in at Bridgeway. Family owned and the best!

Simply put, if you're not at least 70 years old, and weigh more than 200 pounds, stay away. They're not equipped. My wife, who has gained weight over the years, is not getting the treatment she needs. She can't stand on her own at all, needs help getting to the bathroom. She was at Hunterdon Medical Center for 5 days prior to arriving at Bridgeway. At the hospital, they had a device that was able to lift her out of bed from a sitting position, enabled her to stand on this device, and then wheeled to the bathroom so she can use the facility. Bridgeway has a similar device, but looks like it was made 20 years ago. Picture a hammock attached to a crane. Had to be pretty humiliating. Staff is friendly and courteous, but not enough of them. My wife waited and waited for help to use the bathroom, a bit too long. Trying to get her to another facility.

No place will EVER be perfect. Having seen quite a few nursing homes over the years, this Bridgeway facility has been, by far, the best I have encountered. This facility is nicely laid out and decorated - and CLEAN. Nursing homes typically have "that smell". Not here. Some odors cannot be avoided, but, they are temporary; and the air in the building is not too dry or humid either. The temperature is comfortable as well. My mother resides here, and I have been very pleased with her care. ANY time there is the slightest issue with her health, the nursing department contacts me immediately. I have had some relatively minor issues with staff. I contacted the head nurse on the station, and she rectified the problem immediately. My mother is well, happy, and comfortable, and this is of most importance to me.

My father stayed in both the rehab and long term care side. The rehab side is not so bad. The aides there are friendly and very helpful and nice. The nursing home side though is another story. I've heard this is one of the better places, and if this is true, I can't imagine how absolutely awful other long term care places are. The staff can either be very helpful or totally ignore you. Other family members and myself had an issue with one nurse on separate occasions - she had a huge chip on her shoulder and bad attitude. The food on the long-term care side was disgusting and they never changed out the side dishes - it was the same day after day. The main dishes were also very small - tablespoon size. They leave their residents with little to nothing to do. They have some small classes once in a while (I've seen them sitting around in a circle batting a balloon and that was it) but when I left in the evening they would line up the patients all around the nursing station to sit there and do nothing. Honestly I thought they would take care of my father's medical needs - but all they do is dispense medication. They'll call an ambulance if a patient is in obvious medical distress but there is no other medical on-site. They only shower the patients once a week. Do not pay this place $10-11k a month for this. My friend paid a live-in $1k/week for 5 days a week and her and her sister would take turns on weekends; her mother lived until 98 and she was able to stay in her home of 60+ years

My father spent a couple of weeks in rehab at Bridgeway. It was definitely a nicer, much newer, clean facility. The staff was very friendly and quicker to respond when you’re pressing the call button. We contemplated keeping him at Bridgeway, but he wasn’t necessarily happy there, and it cost about $6,000 a month more than where he is now. Since he was in rehab and just came out of hip surgery, they did have better physical therapy. I saw quite a few of his meals and thought they looked very good.

We finally placed my dad in Bridgeway. It’s a two-year-old facility, and it’s clean. The food that he gets is prepared by a professional chef. They have a nutritionist, and my mom can get a menu with everything that he had to eat. They’re so detail oriented. An alarm alerts them if he is outside of his bed. They’re just amazing, so I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their program.

My father in law, who suffered with alzheimers disease, was a resident at Bridgeway for about three years, until his passing away 10 months ago. The nursing staff, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, treated him like he was their top patient! In fact, they treated ALL their patients with respect and dignity and care. For a nursing facility, they were/are by far, outstanding!
