My mom has moved into Victoria Mews. It's wonderful. They have a very caring staff and very uplifting environment. There are nursing services 24 hours. They have great recreations like bingo, movies, church, barbecues, and watching slides. It is really wonderful. Actually, I'm very impressed with it, and I would live there myself. The apartments are small but had nice accommodations.

My mother will be going to Victoria Mews. Dealing with the people there has been extraordinary. They try to minimize the trauma of the move as much as possible. The place is extremely clean. It's a smaller community with 70 people, and this is where my mother wanted to be.

It is in a country setting, beautiful grounds on 10 acres of land. There are many programs for rehab, exercise and activities to meet the needs of the clients.

My mom stayed in Victoria Mews for over two years. It has higher than average market price. The staff there was pleasant. The food was only fair. We got my mom in a small apartment. It was a one-bedroom, which is a large studio with a dividing wall. The facility itself was more of a residential rural setting. It was on a private elevated pieced of property and somewhat remote from town. The remoteness of it from the main town and activity was a concern over a period of time, although they did have transportation services. The facility itself was clean and well-organized. Their grounds was pleasant and comforting in a somewhat rural setting.

My mother is at Victoria Mews and she's as happy as a clam. I can't say enough good things about this facility. It is privately-owned. The 3 owners work on site every day. Mom has an aide that helps her with dressing and bathing. The staff also offers one-on-one care for people who need it. The patients get amazing care. When people have accidents, the staff immediately cleans it up. They really are wonderful. The place is beautiful. It looks like an old Victorian home. My mother is in the least expensive room there is but it has more than ample space. We're thrilled with how much better mom got just by being there. To see how she has come so far is the best. I can't tell you how happy I am.

Victoria Mews is a family owned and operated facility. There is always a family member on sight and they are all very caring individuals. They have round the clock nursing staff and doctors that come to the residents so they do not always have to go out to see a doctor. The residents are allowed to see their own doctors if they wish. There are five people that take responsibility for our resident two of us are her deceased husband's nieces and the remaining three of us are friends. We each take time to visit as often as we can and know that her care is most important. The Mews is a beautiful facility that always reminds me of a high end hotel. The food that is served to the residents is very good. They each get a menu to choose what they want to eat and the are served in a cafe setting. There is a separate dining area for family and friends to share a meal with the resident...and all you have to do is let them know in advance. There is also a small banquet room that you can have parties in...we had a 100th birthday party for our resident. Instead of having the food made there we chose to have it catered. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The facility also will supply aids to care for the resident...helping them with showers and dressing and taking them to get meds and to go to and from meals. We chose to get an aid from an agency for 24/7 care because considering her age she felt more comfortable with a one on one relationship where someone was always with her. We have been very happy with the care that is being given to our resident and more important, that she is happy living there. The only negative aspect is that the facility does not take Medicaid...so if her money runs out before she passes we will have to move her again. We all love her and hope we do not have to put her through another move.

Got a tour of the place a few times and I was impressed. It feels more like a mansion or a home than a hotel or hospital. The staff is friendly and professional since they have lots of redundant systems in place for the resident's comfort. The residents seemed happy and entertained and it was bright and cheery. I ate in the cafeteria which was pretty good.
