My mom has been a resident here for 6 years. When the county sold it and Center Care Management took over, that was it - down hill ever since. We have been patient, hoping for improvement that is consistent, logical and of quality. Removal of the bed rails BEFORE determining where the patient call bell with be fixed to is the latest level of ridiculous. The rails were removed from all beds regardless of need and the remotes and buzzers are not affixed anywhere and fall on the floor. How is a resident to call for help when they have no buzzer? Call bells are not answered and I have had to keep mom on one phone line while I call the nurse station from my other phone and ask why no one is responding to a call bell for the last 20 minutes. They don't even get on the intercom to call into the room to ask what they are calling for. They are so understaffed it is not funny. They spent a lot of money renovating the first floor for rehab, making it look like a luxury place. Take a tour of 2nd and 3rd floors. I've had to email photos of the filth on the floor and medicine cups/tissues/latex gloves that sit under the bed for days at a time, with no one sweeping/cleaning under them. They removed bed rails because they say they are an entrapment hazard. Well what about those at risk for falls that should not get out of bed unassisted? They eliminated private phone line and did not notify families that they were switching to their own system. Changed my mom's phone number twice and never notified any family members. We thought her phone was broken and bought a new phone. Sometimes dinner does not come until 7 pm when most seniors are ready for bed. Parking lot is not plowed in a timely manner in the winter, preventing parking by family members for visiting. Mismanaged facility, . Don't be fooled by the 1st floor rehab area. Find another facility, we are trying to do the same.

Since becoming a private for profit facility, things have gone down hill. They removed patient private phone lines for in room telephone calls, and most recently all the bed rails for each and every patient. If your loved one is prone to falls, watch out.

The CNA's are horrible and have attitudes. Personal care is subpar. My mom would wait hours to be repositioned after surgery. (doctors orders where every 2 hours). Never washed her hair...I DID. Never brushed her teeth... I DID. Took 3 1/2 hours to come check on her after the nurses station was advised she was vomiting....never changed her soiled clothing...I DID. Wound up in ICU for 2 days with sepsis and aspiration pneumonia. Don't be fooled by what they tell you. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

My brother has been here a year. He is totally neglected. They placed him in diapers for the convenience of staff. He is dirty and unkempt. Food on floor. Last visit, urine on floor. Staff is indifferent. There is such a huge turnover. Scabies outbreak and Nora virus. Look elsewhere for care.

Please do not come to this facility. The food and delivery of is atrocious. CNAs that don't understand english, help calls go un answered for long periods of time, The administration is incompetent. if at all possible go somewhere else. Don't be fooled if you come for a visit. Ask to see the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms. Not just the new 1st floor private rooms.

My mom was there. It took 6 hours for them to give her pain meds, 8 hours to receive Ensure and her dressing came off her fresh wound. The aids said they couldn't redress the wound without doctors orders...that was hours later leaving her wound open to infection/bacteria. My dog gets better care in the kennel!

I had my mom go to Runnells Specialized Hospital for rehabilitation, and that place was nice. The rooms were ultra clean, very modern, and very nice. The staff was very pleasant, and it’s a difficult job dealing with Alzheimer’s patients. They had Bingo, cards, tours, and stuff like that.

I found Runnells for my wife. It was relatively close to me and had a four-star rating at that time. We are private pay. They were attractive because their rate of pay on a monthly basis was about $8,700 a month. Some of the other private locations ran anywhere from $10,000 to $13,000 a month. It was a huge, excellent place, very well managed at that time. They have a lot of nursing staff and RNs. LPNs and every aide or CNA had eight patients to take care of at that time and today, they have anywhere from 11 to sometimes as many as 17.

My mom was here for two weeks and her care bordered on neglect. She sat in her bed for hours and was virtually ignored. My family met with the staff there and nothing was ever rectified. It was really a bad situation. Thankfully, after two weeks, we were able to transfer her to another rehab facility. We were enticed by the offer of a private room, but the place should really be embarrassed for the care they give to their patients.
