My dad moved into All American at Londonderry. It's very close to where I live, and comparatively speaking it was within our budget. The staff so far has been very, very good. We've had a very positive experience with them. He has not made a single complaint about the food, and he would tell me if he did not like it. I really like the way it's laid out, it's very clean, and it's a very pleasant atmosphere. I know they have music and exercise, and they have a topic for discussion, entertainment, and movies. He hasn't been there terribly long, but I look at the activities when I go and see him. They have live music and a band. I go in there and they were having one of their discussions and they have an exercise class, so he's like never in his room. I go there, and I have to go find him. So that's exactly what I wanted for him. I am completely comfortable with them.

We visited All American Assisted Living at Londonderry. My friend liked it very much. She wanted to stay there. The place looked like it was brand new. My friend got to visit with some of the residents there. They showed her the room that was scheduled to be hers. It's a two-room suite with a shared common area. When we were visiting, there was entertainment there. She liked everything about the place and that it was close to where I'm living so I could get up there. The staff was very professional. I was impressed with the place. The facility was bright, airy, and cheery. The people seemed friendly. The residents all seemed to be doing well.

All American Assisted Living at Londonderry was fairly new. I went to the memory care unit, and it was beautiful. They had just built it. The people seemed happy there. The staff seemed very helpful. It was just gorgeous. I only had that particular hour or so that I spent in there, but they all seemed attentive, very happy-go-lucky, and good-natured. The room was nice, very spacious. It had a bed and a microwave in there, but not a hotpot or anything like that. It was very neat, very clean, everything was in its place, nice bathroom, and shower facility. They had a barber shop, beauty salon, they do their nails, they had a mini market where you could pick up snacks and stuff like that. I looked at the dining area and I thought it was at a wedding, and it was pretty fancy. I only went in there the one time, but I drive by it almost every day and the outside is impeccable. They keep everything nice. It's an excellent place.

The people at All American Assisted Living are very friendly and very accepting of responsibility. I always feel I have to apologize when they call and tell me my mother did something weird, like trying to smack the staff or something. And they're like, "Look, you need to stop apologizing, this is what we do. There's nothing wrong with your mother. It's just this is what happens when people get old." It's very nice actually that somebody makes me feel like they're taking care of her, and I don't have to apologize when she does something like that. The rooms are very clean, very predictable, just very nice actually. She's not doing anything yet, but I know they have all kinds of stuff. They have music, dances, they have a little tiny golf putting green out front, Trivia nights, bingo, and all kinds of stuff. It's only been a few days. The staff is excellent and very nice. They did a little Applebee's style song and dance, one of those silly, clapping happy dances when my mother came in to welcome her, which was kind of nice. It's clean, the hallways are wide, and it doesn't smell bad at all. It smells very new, which is good because a lot of times in an elderly facility, they have a smell like bleach or cleaner. There's no smell at all. There is no feeling of luxury there, but it's not a complaint, it's just a fact. It really wasn't a lot more than a regular elderly apartment.

All American Assisted Living at Londonderry has both residential and assisted living. The layout was very good. The shared apartment units had individual bedrooms with a shared living area. There are also individual units and studio-type units. The rooms were a good size and came with a TV.

We have put my mother at All American in Londonderry. I liked it because it was a newer facility, near family, and very affordable. She plays bingo, goes to movie night, exercises, dances, and does arts and crafts; she does pretty much everything. Her primary care doctors come weekly to the facility. They have two primary care doctors to choose from if you want to use them. The staff has been accommodating and friendly.
