My mother has moved into Greystone Farm at Salem. It was more of my sister's decision. Of all the places that we went to see, my sister just seemed to feel the most comfortable there. They seem to be attentive and they'll address any issues that we may have. They have singalongs, they have church services or some type of services on Sunday, and reading hour. There's a lot of different things that they do that I see on the board. The dining area seems very nice and very well stocked. The staff seems very good. They always seem to have snacks and things available between the meals. The staff is easily accessible and happy to help out whenever they can when you may have a question. It seems quite clean. I don't see anything that's alarming. It's quite expensive, but since this is the first time, I really don't have any comparison that I can use.

Greystone Farm at Salem was a very nice place. The layout was nice. The dining room was nice. Everything was well-kept and new looking. All the workers smiled and were polite. They answered all my questions when I went. The dining room was full when I was there, and everyone seemed happy with the food. They showed me most of the facility. Any time we ran into some of the other employees, everyone was smiling and greeting each other. It was very nice. It was a nice visit. I saw the menu, but I didn't try anything. That's something I may revisit because I only visited the assisted living. They had different areas that they could put my father in without leaving the premises. If his dementia got worse, if he got Alzheimer's, if he needed skilled nursing, or if he needed hospice, they could move him around inside the building. Those services could also come to him in the same room.

My mom is in Greystone Farm at Salem. It is an assisted living, full nursing. They have nurses 24 hours is what we needed. It looks well established. My mom has been moved around so many times in and out because of Covid and then rehab. So she's a little bit behind in everything, but they will assist her with physical therapy and speech therapy. I'm happy where she is, and we'll see what happens. The food looks edible, which is great. It's presented nicely, and they have choices. If they don't like the choices, the kitchen will make them what they want. The staff members are a hundred percent fantastic and very caring. We are just relieved that my mom is in a clean place. They are taking care of her and feeding her. They also have people coming in who will assess her every two weeks. In my mom's ward, they try to get them to socialize all the time. They don't want them to be in their room all day. They get them up, get them dressed, get them out of the room, and bring them in with people.

I liked Greystone Farm at Salem. I liked the atmosphere and it seemed like a nice, comfortable, and caring place. The person who did the tour was great. The rooms looked nice and comfortable. They also have transportation where they take them out for different things or medical visits. It was a very pretty and homey place.

My father-in-law moved into Greystone Farm at Salem. It's very homey and pleasant. His room is just right. It's just what he needs. The staff is very kind and caring. He has a urinary catheter, however, and they don't seem to know quite how to take care of it, and he's not too happy about that. Other than that, he gets good care. He doesn't do too many activities. He plays Nickels and he watches a few films, but he mostly keeps to himself. He's a quiet man. They have many activities. It's just that he doesn't take part in too many of them, but he could. They do pedicures. They don't have a gym or anything like that, but they have exercise classes. It's simple. They have a nice community room, and they have a lot of activities in it. They have a café area that they haven't opened yet, but it's all set to open and it's very nice. The food is not great, but it's nice. The staff is very good, but I guess because it's not a nursing home, they don't have as much knowledge about his catheter and things like that. The facility is very nice. The cost of it is ridiculous, but I think it's like that at all the places.

My mother is at Greystone Farm at Salem. It's top-notch and 5 stars. It had a little better vibe to it than the other place we visited. Her apartment there is really nice and they did a great job of setting it up. The important thing was that it was right before the COVID thing so no one was allowed before they locked down. The staff is wonderful. Their dining area is very clean, spacious and lovely, the tables aren't crammed together and it's also really homey. The whole first floor reminds me of a decent resort, and there's also a bistro area. My mom is eating well there. They have lots of sitting spaces interspersed around the layout, and it was good. Every staff we encountered knew the residents by name, and the residents also knew them by name. We saw a lot more staff visibly present here compared to other places, because it's a smaller building. The community has 2 floors and it's laid out well. So we bumped into staff going to and fro, helping people and meeting people. Right now, there are lots of things that they're supposed to be doing with an Alzhiemer's patients (like getting them out, socializing them, or getting them into activities) that they just can't do right now because they can't have contact but it's not their fault.

The rooms are nice friendly and clean a bit on the small side but nothing to complain about. They are still lovely. The staff is absolutely amazing. They like family and that’s they way they approach you. Always a friendly smile and a sweet comment wonderful care. My mom enjoys the gambling games. It’s a place you can easily call home.

Greystone Farm at Salem was a great place that felt very homey and very welcoming. The person who accommodated me was wonderful. She was very accommodating and very good. The people were all wonderful. The food was great. The room was clean. There was quite a bit of activities and lots of art. There were girls doing things like painting and games that people could play. It is a wonderful place. I liked Greystone and the people very much. The layout was nice and different and more like a home.

Greystone Farm was very clean, very organized, had enough activities, and was not too far. They had Hawaiian Night, special occasion nights, and brought them to the beach and different parks. They took them to doctors' appointments depending on where they were. The staff seemed to know what they were doing and answered questions. They showed me the 2-bedroom; it was nice and good enough with a bed and bureau and other stuff. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place looked very clean and doesn't smell.

Greystone Farm's memory care was much bigger than where my mother is now. She ended up rooming with somebody there. Their recreation part and getting the people involved was really good. She said she had a good time there, so that was a plus, but she wasn't there that long. She was only there about 10 days. I visited the facility before she went in there and they were very nice. One of the activities that I saw was them having a ball and passing that back and forth which I thought was really good and very stimulating. My mom couldn't do that though because she can't see very well. They always had a little group with people in a circle. Even if she couldn't do what they were doing, she was still there with them. They also had some musical thing going on. It was a really nice facility. The other nice thing was the people working there. When I went in to pick up my mom and get all of her things, the woman that was in the other bed was there that day and one of the girls that worked there just seemed very affectionate toward her, very loving, and just really nice.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The food was good, and the dining room was very big, almost formal. The rooms were big. The security was good. They had arts and crafts, bingo, games, and a computer place. I don't think Greystone Farm needs any improvement.

My mom is at Greystone Farm at Salem. The room is fine; it is small. There are two rooms, basically bedroom, living room, and little kitchenette. There is also a small refrigerator. I had some of the food at Greystone, and it was OK. I visit my mother on Sundays, so unfortunately, I don't see the activities, but they have an activity calendar that they publish, and they have a fair number of them. I like the staff. They are all friendly and courteous. The place seems pretty safe to me. Maintenance is good.

My parents are moving in shortly and my Dad has had some health issues. They are working directly with the hospital and rehab hospital to assist in getting him to Greystone as soon as possible. Greystone staff has been absolutely wonderful through the whole process! Amazing people. My parents cannot wait to move there! We feel very lucky to have found Greystone!

I was very impressed with Greystone Farm at Salem. I met with the director, the marketing director, and the director of the memory care unit, and I was very impressed with all three of them. I like the atmosphere because it's homey. People were out and doing things. They were enjoying themselves. I was able to eat there, and their food was delicious, very good. I was very impressed with the young lady who was the director of the memory care unit. She is knowledgeable and caring. She has some understanding of my husband's rare disease. I am very satisfied with what I have seen so far.

I did a complete tour of Greystone Farm at Salem. The facility was clean as a whistle. It was also a much smaller facility, probably somewhere around 50 to 60 residents. They're more compact and yet they seemed to offer everything that the other places offer. Because of its size, everyone seemed to know everybody else, staff and residents. It had a small town feel to the entire place. The residents all seemed to be very happy. The staff and the accommodations were considerably adequate. I met many of their staff and everybody seemed to be most helpful. They even have nurses on board. Aside from assisted living, they also have memory care. I would absolutely recommend this one. I loved it! If I have to decide to move, I would consider this place.

My mother has been a resident of Greystone Farm since Sept 2010. She currently resides in Harbor community which is for Alzheimer's patients. My mother receives excellent care at the wonderful facility. The decor is very cheery, bright and clean. The staff is always welcoming, compassionate and caring. They provide activities for the residents daily, have many special occasion events for family members to attend, and take those able to participate on outings. They have provided my mom with the best care and given my siblings and I peace of mind.

This place is quite shaggy compared to the others I've visited. I think it's in a pretty location despite the fact that my dad is not fond of it. I didn't see most of the things here, most of the time I just sat in the office. My dad mentioned that the rooms were tiny. The time of our visit was also the time when there's fund raising for the community. The people in this place are community lovers so there were baskets of things for sale in the area where I suppose residents gather around when they're not in there rooms. I would recommend that people should visit this place when there's no fund raising activity; I think it would have a warmer feeling. However, this is a Benchmark facility so I'd be confident that my loved ones would be taken cared of satisfactorily here.

Hi Haley, We would encourage you to contact the Executive Director at the community to schedule another visit. Since you were in the office for most of your visit, we would love for you to really see the community in its entirety and to meet with some of our residents and associates. What makes our communities so special is the people, the care we provide, and the programming we offer. We look forward to hearing from you.
