My mother's overall experience at South Point is good. They recently had a staff turnover, but one of the things I liked is that it's such a small community. There are only 15 residents there. So, it's personal. We know the nurses and everybody by first name. They take good care of her and that's what we liked. The dining area looks pretty, but it's institutional food and she hates it. It's not salted. She is not happy with it. There's not two choices on the menus. There are strictly one choice. My mother's room is very nice. It's appropriate.

South Pointe is an old building. The hallways are narrow. It's dark. Nobody was walking around. The lady I met was very nice, but we only saw two people in the whole building and then we toured a room there. It's not bad. It's just not nearly as nice as the others. They should encourage people to come out of their rooms more. In the other living places we went to, people were sitting around. There was a group of women here and other little groups and pockets of people talking. So, you didn't feel like you were the only one there. It felt like you could walk up to a group of women or men and they're just having conversations. I didn't see anybody, not one resident, at South Pointe.

South Pointe was small and kind of outdated. We saw a private room. It was good. It was a large size. The lights were out in the bathroom and it just needs overall cleaning and updating. It was small and closed in. The security was standard. There was a nice area outside. It was small, but it was nice. We had to wait, they didn't seem to have all their information together. The people that we were going to see weren't there.

South Pointe was an older place, and it was updated I guess. It was a little bit smaller, and the rooms were not apartment type; they are more like just sleeping areas with maybe just a little bit of living space in it. They are not too much like apartment living, but they have assisted living and Alzheimer’s facility. It was OK, the staff was sufficient, and I talked with a nurse. I don’t really remember, but I didn’t see anything wrong; everybody was being taken care of. The rooms were not updated, it was one story, and they have a nice patio area.
