I went to Ravenwood Senior Living before the pandemic to visit the memory care, and it was very warm and felt very comforting. The people who ran it and the staff seemed to care for their residents. They were very helpful with my questions. I also had friends who have had family that stayed there, and they were pleased with the service. The person that actually gave me the information seemed a little rushed at the time. I think they were taking the assisted living residents on an outing, and so I kind of caught them at a bad time. She was trying to quickly get through with me, so she could go with them to their outing (which I thought was great). I was pleased to see them doing that. The facility itself looked nice too. There was a lady that would come in and do manicures for the ladies, and that happened to be the day she was there for the memory care people. I thought that was very special. Cleanliness was also good. The memory care was a separate little cottage with a separate bedroom and then a living room in the middle. It was very home-like in that setting. I live outsideof Springfield, and so this is right on the edge of Springfield. It's fairly close to the hospitals, probably about two miles to one hospital; it's on the newly built side of Springfield, so it's a good location.

I toured Ravenwood Senior Living and it's set up the same as another place we toured. But they're just an older kind of building and everything. The common areas where all of them eat and the different lobbies were great. But the individual rooms seem to be dark and depressing. I think if they painted, because they have a darker color on the wall, and if they would freshen up just a little bit it would be just great. The staff was so friendly, and they seemed like they had a lot of things going over there with games and activities for everyone.

My tour at Ravenwood Assisted Living was good, but the place was a little more rundown. They had activities. It was a smaller facility. The staff was good, but there seemed to be a little confusion on the hierarchy. Cost was compatible with the rest. The rooms were smaller and they had more shared. They take them shopping, do exercise, and they have a church there.

I was impressed with Ravenwood Assisted Living and the person I was dealing with. She was very upbeat. The room was nice, and they had all kinds of activities, like music and crafts.

I have been to Ravenwood (The Arbors at Ravenwood). It’s very nice and clean. It’s also a little smaller, which is good. The people were nice. The dining area in the Alzheimer’s was small, but they only take a few patients. They do a lot and everything, but I wasn’t quite as impressed with the rooms.

Ravenwood didn’t have a homey feel to it,so it just didn’t fit our needs. They had assisted living and memory care.

I went to The Arbors at Ravenwood. When you walk in the facility, it just feels like home. The staff's attitude was A+. The lady was very polite. She toured me everywhere. She took time with me. The dining room and the rooms were A+. The room has living areas which is separate from the bedroom, which I really like. The only reason why we didn’t chose this one was because it was way more than what my father could afford.

Ravenwood was doing some remodeling while we were there. At that time I would probably give it a three just because there was still a lot of construction going on. The room model was OK, and I would probably give it a three and a half. They were clean and spacious as well. The staffs were very friendly, and they answered our questions. We saw a few residents, but we didn't really get a chance to talk with them because they were in a middle of an activity. They seemed to be happy and enjoying it.
