The Castlewood Senior Living was a beautiful facility. However, they had an air about them as to being better class. You kind of felt like they were uppity. It didn't feel like it was a down-to-earth place where you would feel comfortable. I think the staff were fine, but maybe not as down-to-earth. But they did have a nice menu. The facility was very nice and clean. But they don't allow people to stay there once they were on Medicaid. They would have to find another place to go to. That was sort of a negative that we saw against them. What they could improve on is for the staff to be more approachable and down to earth.

What I didn't like about The Castlewood Senior Living was their pricing. The way I understood it, it's priced by the floor. If you're on the first floor, it's more expensive and as you go up, it's cheaper. They have very large apartments. The one I looked at was very large. The bedroom was even large enough to have a full-size bed and some bookcases and a piano in it. They had very good-sized rooms. Dining was restaurant style and you can eat whenever you want between certain hours, and I liked that because I don't eat on a regular schedule. The staff was very good and pretty knowledgeable, but she's not the one who does it all the time. She was very cordial and all of that, but that's not her regular job. It was very clean. I had no problem with that. They had a lot of places to sit and visit or whatever and pretty good-sized ones. The price was higher than some of the others I looked and I don't like that graduation of prices going up because I'm not particularly wanting to be on the top floor.

I liked the amenities at The Castlewood Senior Living. They have a selection on the menu where you can pick what you want to eat. They have a gym if you want to use it. The staff were very nice. They gave us all the information we needed and showed us what they had. So, it was a good experience. They let us have lunch to eat and the food was really good.

The facility is really nice seems very clean. My only complaint is with the food, it is only edible about 90% of the time. My opinion is what they are paying per month they should have top-notch food or even decent food. I got some dessert samples that they were served and you could not eat them. i’m very disappointed and the food and the amount of food on the plates. The apartments don’t always get cleaned on the days they are supposed to clean.

We visited The Castlewood Senior Living. It's newer than the other facility. It has a few more amenities. It would have been my pick. The rooms were spacious. They have a full kitchen, full-sized refrigerator, full-sized oven and cooktop, and a full-sized dishwasher. The only thing that they have that the other facility does not have is they have a water aerobics pool. It is not a full-sized pool but a small water aerobics pool. They also have a little bit more green space and an outdoor gathering area. It's much more rural than any of the others that we looked at, which would be my preference, but my mother-in-law wanted to be in the city. They have very similar activities. They have bingo, they have all kinds of games, they have shopping trips, and they have music on a fairly regular basis every Friday. They have some kind of music performance by different individuals or groups. We ate lunch there one day, and it was very good. We went at 11 and had lunch at roughly 11:30, and I was amazed that there weren't any more residents dining in the dining room at that time of day. The food was all very good. We didn't interact with anyone at all other than the marketing person. The marketing person is very personable. She followed up very closely, and she kept in contact very well. She has been in the business a long time and knows her stuff. The facility was built to be senior living. It's a little bit more senior accessible. Their shower situations are more adapted toward seniors.

The Castlewood Senior Living is awesome. It is a nice and beautiful place. They play music through the intercom. The staff was very informative and friendly. They have balconies and some little areas on the outside for people to sit. They have activities for the residents. They had a shuttle that would take the residents to Walmart, shopping, and stuff.

The Castlewood Senior Living was very nice. The staff was very, very nice, and they kept in touch as well. It was a nice apartment. They had their own laundry facility within the apartment which is very nice. Everything looked very neat and clean. They have about the same amenities as the others.

We toured The Castlewood Senior Living and it looked very comfortable, homey, and something that we might think about in the future. The staff was very informative. We saw the model room and it was very nice. The place was extremely clean and neat. They have plenty of room in their outdoor spaces, and their dining area was real nice.

I went to The Castlewood Senior Living. They were extremely attentive, wanting to know about my mother. They took detailed notes and information. They sent my mother a gift: individual portions of wine and a wine glass. They were great to us. Their facility was top notch. They're out in a suburb area that's affluent, and part of their building looks upon a field. When we were there, they were baling hay which was a nice thing to look out your window and balcony. There were trees around the campus itself, so it was nestled in quite nicely. They made a huge impression. Their facility was fantastic. It was clean, and it was one of our choices to offer mom.

The Castlewood is a beautiful place. The staff there are cordial and kind, and they act like they want you to come visit. That makes a big difference, instead of saying they're busy and don't have the time. So, I like the people there. They went out of their way to try to accommodate us by showing us what we asked to see. We also had a very good meal there; it was delicious. We liked everything about it except the price.

The Castlewood Senior Living is a sister to another community I visited. They're run by the same company and are basically the same. The only disadvantage for me personally would be the distance. The staff who gave me the tour was excellent. They have shared studio rooms. It's an older community, they've been in business for a while. The place itself was like luxury 5-star hotels. They had a calendar of activities. They were full at the time of my visit and there were people going around. This place is very nice.

I have selected The Castlewood Senior Living and will be moving in there. I have friends there and it's close to the people I know. The place is extra special and has everything I'm looking for. I have the largest 1-bedroom. It's 790 square feet of living space, it has a kitchenette, and everything is in there. It has all the appliances you could want. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment, a large living room, large bedroom, and bath. They also have all kinds of games like bingo and mahjong, there's movie nights, they're always doing something, and they have a workout room and a pool. It's just very good and I feel very comfortable there. I've had some meals there and they're very good. Every day the food is different. The dining room closes at 7:00 and they have a room with some snacks and things so you can go in there too. I have a dog and they accept dogs, so that's going to be good. The community is really great. They're full right now, but they're building another one which is supposed to be open in August. The staff is very helpful, very up on things, and ready to help you with whatever you need help with. The building itself is very nice and clean, and set up really well. There's a wall before you get into the dining room, so you don't see it when you come in the front door, and I like that.

It looks like we'll be putting our dad in the independent living at The Castlewood Senior Living. We really like that place and we like the staff there. We like the fact that there are food options. It's served restaurant style where you can order off of a menu, and the restaurant is open from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. There seems to be lots of activities both in the assisted and independent living. It's a relatively new community, it opened around 2016 or 2017, and we liked all that about it. It's pretty good. I think it's a little pricey for assisted living. They have other things there like a fitness center, a library, several different types of common areas, and so on. Of all the places we looked at I would rate them the highest. All the residents I talked to told me that the food there is wonderful.

The Castlewood looked great to me. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were fine. They have a room to watch the movies and they seemed to have quite a bit of space for the people to play board games. The activities looked very nice. It's the gold standard there.

The Castlewood Senior Living is excellent as far as the facility itself. It rates very high, but it's a little bit lower in price because it's further out of the city. It had an indoor movie theater and different things that we wouldn't have been able to take advantage of. They had professional sales staff that escorts you on a tour of the dining room, the gym, the movie theater, and the facilities, but we didn't interact with the staff at all. The food was very good. They give you lunch, and it was excellent. They had individual menus, like in a restaurant, and it was quite good. The dining area was excellent. The rooms looked very nice. The one we saw was vacant without furnishings, and you bring your own furniture. It's clean and ready for occupancy, and it's been repainted and set up for a new resident.

I visited the independent living of The Castlewood and it was good. The place looks very adequate, the room I saw has a kitchenette, and the building has three floors. Their food is good, but we were looking for a place that serves organic food, and they don't have that option. They have a meeting room where they can have shows and watch videos, which was nice. We had a little trouble finding the community, but once you know where it is it's easy to get in. The staff there was also good. The place is only getting started. There were lots of empty rooms.

When we toured The Castlewood Senior Living, it was not finished yet. There were workmen in the building applying some of the finishing touches, although they were starting to move people in. It's going to be nice, but the apartments felt too small for me and my wife. It's brand new, all fresh, and clean. The staff was pleasant and competent, and they've followed up with us, so they're doing their job. It wasn't fully staffed yet at the time we saw it. The dining area looked very nice.

My friend moved into the Castlewood. It's very nice, new, and they're still building it. They have a big dining room where they order off a menu, like in a restaurant, and a waitress comes and serves them. They have an exercise class and trips to shows and dinner. A couple of weeks ago they took some of them that wanted to go fishing. The staff seems great. They have church on Sundays, a cleaning lady who does laundry, nurses who comes to give medicine, and a doctor who comes once a month whenever they need it. I haven't seen anything wrong yet.

The independent living at The Castlewood Senior Living was pretty sold out, and it's not ready yet. The place was beautiful, but they had not yet developed their potential. The apartment was beautiful because it had a lot of light, and it seemed very classical and easy for someone like my mother to use. I tried the food, but I didnt care for their method of serving because they serve meals any time during the day. I felt that if they didnt have any specific time for the meals, then the residents won't have social time.

The Castlewood is brand new, and it has excellent dining. The food is not made the same, and everyone eats the same food. It is a la carte on a menu, and you can have breakfast all day long. They have a kitchen with a refrigerator for those who have late snacks, and they have sandwiches and fruit. They have brunch every third Sunday, church at 3:30, they take them on Sunday afternoon drive, and if they have some brands and shows that they wanna go to, they sign up for it, exercises every day at 10:30, walks on Saturday morning, and their security is good. They have the top and latest technology as far as cameras in their rooms. These cameras don't show the person to keep privacy, but it gives an outline, like a shadow, and it shows how many people are in the room and where they are. They wear a thing around their wrists so they can find the residents if they need to. It's outstanding. We visit my mother-in-law often and whenever we want. She always tells us that the she couldn’t be in a better place and that they're so nice and kind. Anything she wants and needs, they're right there. We’re really happy.
