My mother was in The Fremont Senior Living. The facility was exceptional, it was more upscale compared to institutional. The staff was excellent in the care they gave and it was immaculate. The dining room could be updated because it's small. They do scenic drives, they play games, they had exercise activities, and they had cooking. They brought in musicians and they have a beauty salon. They had one of those bath facilities, like a hydro spa. They provided a wonderful support and we're satisfied.

I visited The Fremont Senior Living. It was a good place. It was nice. The staff was very knowledgeable. The food was included, and it was satisfactory. They have all kinds of games and activities. They also take you on tours if you're able to go. They have trips to Branson and places like that. It's just a regular community.

I went to The Fremont Senior Living and spoke with Brittany. She spent over an hour with me going through the facility and what they had to offer. She was upfront about costs and it was a good experience. I felt like she took the time to answer everything I needed and was interested in my concerns. The assisted living apartments were very clean, very new, and very nice. The staff was professional and very friendly. They looked very organized. They knew about my appointment, explained everything about my tour, and knew the whole process.

I liked The Fremont Senior Living. It felt homey because you can live in an apartment and it gave me a sense of home. The place was clean, and the staff was very nice. They asked me questions and they asked if I had any questions. They had lots of things going on like arts and games.

The Fremont Senior living facility in Springfield, Mo. is poorly managed from the corporate level, (Arrow Management), poorly operated, and severely understaffed at the local level. I spent a lifetime there one month transitioning a family Elder from independent living (IL) to assisted living (AL). I slept many nights in his apartment and took him to and from meals. I was privileged to get to know many residents and staff workers. While almost all front-line workers are kind and caring, they are overwhelmed by the volume of service needed by the residents. Service for which the residents pay handsomely. The most glaring area of poor performance on the IL side is food service. A lot of items on the regular menu are oftentimes not available. From simple items such as sliced fresh fruit and an English muffin to featured entrees. There is no real kitchen on the IL side, only a small grill for frying eggs and burgers. Most menu items and all entrees have to be transported from across the parking lot in AL where the real kitchen and cooks work to prepare food for both sides of the facility. This results in poor service and diminished food quality, (temperature and freshness), on the IL side. And on the AL side, waiting 45 minutes to an hour for your ordered food to be served is common. While poor food service is frustrating, much more significant service problems exist on the AL side of the facility. Residents are given a medallion with an “alert” button on it to be pushed when the resident requires immediate assistance. There are also pull chain alert devices in the rooms designed for the same purpose. Neither system works well at all. Not because of a mechanical or hardware deficiency, but because the minimal staff is so overwhelmed with service requests that they have become apathetic and do not respond immediately to the alarms. My Elder lay on the floor for 30 minutes after he used the system to call for help when he fell and couldn’t get himself back up. He probably would have stayed down longer if I hadn’t come to his apartment after he failed numerous times to answer the phone. My Elder requires the use of a catheter and is charged an extra fee for the Fremont to care for his needs in that area. Because the staff does not respond to his calls he most often performs those tasks himself which results in an unsanitary catheter bag and tubing. My Elder is incontinent and has to use disposable diapers and soils himself several times a day. It is not uncommon for me to walk into his apartment and smell feces because his waste containers have not been emptied. I have not decided if the floor nurse for my Elder is a Saint or an Angel, but she is one of the two. I have never met a sweeter, kinder, or harder-working person than her. The problem, however, is that D.J. has 32 residents under her care. There is no way one person, no matter how exceptional she is, can possibly keep up with that demand. Her span of control is simply untenable. This is Arrow Management putting higher profit ahead of resident care. Selecting a retirement facility may well be one of the last big decisions we make in life. Once the choice of the facility has been made and we’ve moved in, it’s a real hassle to uproot and move again. I have visited with several of the Fremont residents who feel stuck now for that reason. If you are reading this and considering the Fremont, or any Arrow facility, I would encourage you to perform thorough due diligence. Eat several meals at different times in the two dining halls. Visit with as many existing residents as possible privately in order to get their candid opinion. If your family Elder is currently a resident in one of these facilities and is not receiving the care you feel they need, complain vociferously. However, I have voiced my concerns to both the Fremont Interim Executive Director and the Wellness Director to no avail.

I went to The Fremont Senior Living. They took me on a tour of the place. However, I felt like memory care wasn't their main thing. It was a segregated part of their community. They had a nice cafeteria in the memory care portion, but I felt like they were trying to do a sales job on me instead of looking at my needs. It's okay, people are hired to do that, so I get that. I've had some problems with their staffing as to how they were going to take care of people off the main shift. I don't like this kind of thing. I was there in the daytime, and they were staffed. I think the big difference between them and the other place is that the other place just does memory care, and the Fremont was kind of doing it on the side. It wasn't their main thing. It was something they did, but they didn't emphasize it. If they're going to do memory care, I think they'll have to staff it up and make that a priority. Everyone has their niche and that wasn't theirs. The rooms were small. I saw a room and it was more like a hospital room, and I didn't see activities.

I went to The Fremont Senior Living. They were very nice and spent an hour with me. It's beautiful and well taken care of. I was treated very nicely. I saw one room that was available for me to look at. It was a studio, so it's small, but my dad doesn't need a lot of room, so it's okay. It had a very small kitchenette, a room for a bed, a chair and a TV. It's a beautiful place. The staff who assisted me, her name was Brittany, and she was really good. She was the administrator. The staff were nice. I only met two of them, and it was very good. I saw everything. I saw the health care nurse area, I saw the dining room, and I saw the kitchen. They had a room for people to gather with their family in the way of conversation, and they could have a little birthday party. They have a workout area. I think it was really clean and neat. They have a lot of activities listed. The main thing I was looking for is the social aspect, and they are probably pretty high ranked on that because they had a lot of items going on for people to take and be entertained with. They had TV and movies and all sorts of things.

We toured The Fremont Senior Living. Other than the marketing person, we haven't had any interaction with the staff necessarily too much. One day my mother-in-law went for another look. She had been there a few times and the marketing person had shown her the available room. And then another day, my mother-in-law and her daughter went to just take one more look, and the marketing person was not available, but there was a housekeeper that was there, and she was very kind and showed them the room because it was unlocked because she had been cleaning it, so that worked very well. They were very accommodating. They have a beauty salon, a library, an exercise room, and a restaurant or café that you just order off the menu at any time of the day between 7 in the morning and 7 in the evening, so you can come and order at will. They don't have a pool or an aqua aerobics pool at all, which was a bit disappointing. They have a cute little outdoor seating area adjacent to the restaurant so that people can take their food outside and eat if they wish. They have covered parking for some of the apartments. They have what they call a demonstration kitchen. If somebody wants to have a gathering of their family, like if they want to bake some cakes, cookies, cupcakes or whatever, and they want to have a larger space in which to do it, they can use the demonstration kitchen. They have a private dining room where they can serve private dinners to the residents' families if it's reserved and such as that. They have a little coffee shop area so that people can come here and get drinks 24 hours a day. They keep the demonstration kitchen stocked with different snacks and desserts that the people might want to come and grab during off hours when the restaurant is not open. They keep sandwiches in the coffee shop area as well as in a cooler there for residents to come at off hours if the restaurant is not open. I was impressed that all of their apartments have full-sized kitchens. They're stocked with full-sized refrigerators and dishwashers. I thought that was kind of a waste actually, but it was nice if somebody is still inclined to do much cooking. They certainly have a dishwasher to assist them in cleaning up. There were a few downsides to this particular location versus some other ones that we looked at, but it's the one that my mother-in-law liked best, and she's the one that's going to live there, so it's her choice. Their marketing person was very nice and pretty accommodating. I haven't eaten there, but their menu looks good as far as what's available.

The Fremont Senior Living is quite a bit more expensive than other places I've visited. They used to be actual condos, so their square footage is way bigger but the common area is really small. The dining room is really small, so I didn't care for it much. The outdoor area was not great, there didn't seem to be any green space and it was mostly just a parking lot. I saw some people that were in a dining room but it wasn't mealtime, they were just visiting together. I didn't see any other activities going on. The facility was very clean, very nice, and very well updated, but it was also very expensive.

I went to The Fremont Senior Living. It was very nice. The staff kept in touch. I liked the apartments very much. They were in the process of redoing the rooms, putting in new appliances in the kitchen. It was spacious. The dining area was nice. Everything looked neat. I'm impressed with the 55+ communities here in Springfield.

I went to look at The Fremont Senior Living. The place looked very clean. The employees there seemed to be very friendly. The people that were staying there seemed to be happy. If my mom had gone there, she would have been one of the younger ones (that was not encouraging for me). The staff was great. She had a pocket of information shared with us, toured us on the place, and answered a bunch of questions. She seemed extremely knowledgeable. She was fantastic. There were some different art-type classes going on. In the memory care facility, they have different stations for different things that they can do. I also know that they go on outings. I saw one room that was empty, and it wasn't bad. I didn't really have any expectations. It seemed a little small.

The Fremont Senior Living was the one that didn't measure up at all. They have their campuses -- several buildings, with each building having a small dining area, and independent from the other buildings. The food was not that impressive. It was small, the tour guide didn't have any personality compared to all the others. I think they were filled up, so they might be doing something right. The tour guide was OK, but nothing to write home about.

I went to The Fremont Senior Living and toured the memory care. They had an opening at the time. It was modern, clean, and nice. Denise has been good at following up too. She gave me the information I needed and was not in a rush. She was willing to answer all the questions that I needed to ask. The place was very nice. I'm not sure that's the perfect fit for dad, but it was good. They seem to be taking good care of their residents from my short visit there.

We went to The Fremont Senior Living. My experience overall was pretty exceptional. The staff that I met was very kind and warm. Betsy was the tour guide, and she went out of her way to both accommodate a schedule change for us. She was very attentive and very pleasant. She was a wonderful person for being so young. The rooms are amazing, especially for the competitive price. It had very tall ceilings because it was a former condominium that was turned into senior living. The apartments are older condos. So while the facility itself is an older building (it's like 15 to 17 years old), it did not look like that at all. The renovations that they were doing in some of their rooms were really stellar. The size of their rooms were large. They were the largest room size of all the places, and they had some nice design elements in the way that the kitchen was set up. Overall, it was exceptional for the price. Although it is in the middle of town, you can't really tell because they put the memory care and assisted living villas around the campus. It's kind of like its own small community. It's set far enough away from the busyness of some of the roads; you really couldn't tell that you're in the middle of the city. Overall they were on par with everyone else.

My father moved into The Fremont Senior Living. I've been very happy with them, the staff have been very caring, they answered my questions, I have asked for a couple of extra things, and that they have done. It's very clean, no unpleasant odors detected, bright, and everything is in good repair. The food is very, very good, and they have a wide variety of choices. My father enjoys the balloon ball game that the residents play a couple of times a week. He's played some dominoes and other things with them. I have heard some nice music, and others involved with music, they've gone on a ride in a bus, they have physical activity, stretching, and exercise. One of the residents is playing the piano, and the people are enjoying themselves.

We moved into The Fremont Senior Living. First of all, the food is very good. We have one meal a day, and it's very good. I was very surprised. We have lots of space in our three bedroom, two baths, and a two car garage. They also do the housekeeping, and all the maintenance. We got a beautiful little backyard for our little ones, and our little grand babies to play in. It's really a God thing that we got this for us right now. It's a little downsized because we had a big house, and we need to really downsize since we're older. They're very careful with COVID, which is good because you don't know if this thing is over yet. They want you to wear a mask if you haven't been vaccinated. Most people in here are vaccinated, but we're not. I just don't think it's good for a person to get vaccinated, but that's our opinion. We're staying low so we don't have to worry about giving anybody anything or getting it, but they didn't make us get vaccinated, which is really funny. They ask us if we were interested two times, but they didn't force that. They did with other people, but I think it was before we came in, which was funny, so it's another God thing for us, because we just feel very strongly that it's not a good thing, but we understand other people's opinions. The staff is pretty young, some of the people that we were talking to were 20 or 30, and the other ones are 40 or 50. They don't have an older group of staff here, and they were all very nice. They got all sorts of activities. They have an exercise room, and a pool that is handicap friendly. They have bingo, aerobics, and they have Bible studies, which we may be interested in doing. The staff seems really nice, and the cook comes out to talk to you. You can order food and take it out, or you can stay and eat. They have a wide selection for food.

My mother-in-law will be going into The Fremont Senior Living. It was wonderful, and we really liked it. The staff was excellent. It was clean, warm, and cozy. You get the fuzzy feeling when you walk in. It looks like a home. The location was perfect, and the neighborhood was very nice. It's an excellent facility.

We went to The Fremont Senior Living. They really weren't able to show us a whole lot, as far as the rooms themselves, they did not show us the rooms. They just showed us the amenities for the senior living community like the dining area and the living area. It was very clean, neat, cheerful and inviting. The staff is very friendly. I thought it was a great place.

My Parents have been residents of Fremont for 7 months now. It has been difficult for them as they have been so independent all their lives. Fremont Staff is Amazing and Personable! From the Cafe staff to the Techs and Nurses. The activities are interesting and fun. My Dad Calls the Activity Room “The Fun Room”. He loves the food served in the Cafe and invites us to eat every meal with my Mom and Himself. I love conversing with the staff and the way the staff work together is amazing!

I was very impressed with The Fremont. They have their own personal home because laundry is in their own apartment. They don't have to go out down the hallway to do their laundry. The apartments were very nice and roomy, and the facilities were also nice. They have an exercise room and all kinds of things. We got a calendar of activities and they are very busy people.

We liked The Fremont. It was a little roomier than most, and the appliances were updated. The rooms were bigger than a lot of places. The staff was very nice. They had a club house and weekly nights at the movies. They also had workout machines, aerobics, and lots of activities. It was very well located, which is another reason we liked. It was convenient to the YMCA and a lot of restaurants, stores, and shopping. It was fancy and modern.

We toured Freemont. It was a huge, pleasant place with an outside setting. The staff who toured us was fabulous, very polite, knowledgeable, and answered a lot of questions for us. They were sitting around a big table, playing games, and having juice and cookies. They have TV rooms, library, computer room, and a big TV screen in the hall which was neat to watch.

The Fremont was a very nice facility with roomy and nice apartments. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and interacted with my grandmother, not just me. The whole tour was nice. They showed us a beauty shop, an activity center, and a dining area. It was more upscale, clean, didn't have an odor, and was a much nicer facility.

The Fremont was very nice and up-to-date. They had lots of different floor plans, but I was impressed with just the place overall; it was up-to-date, nice, and pleasant smelling. They had lots of different young people working there who were pretty upbeat. I was there several times, so I don’t think they were necessarily putting on a show for me. They had different sizes of rooms from single studios to much larger rooms. I really just looked at one of the smaller ones because it is just my mother by herself. It would not be two people or two wheelchairs in there. Their dining area was pretty open, and you could get most anything you wanted anytime of the day. They have Sunday brunch every Sunday with different stations around like an omelet station or a waffle station, and all the people who live there can have their families come and eat with them. They seem to have newer facilities, more activities, and more things -- just activities going on in the place.

The Freemont is a very nice facility, and they offer from the very basic all the way up to Alzheimer's care. They had an exercise room which was something my father-in-law would be interested in, a little library, and a calendar with different things planned and different activities that they could get involved in. I was very impressed with them.

Fremont was nice. It had independent little house duplexes which were awfully nice, but to get there you had to go outside. I had a friend who was going to go to the Fremont, and she’s going to have one of the duplexes. When I was there, they were setting up an outdoor barbeque, but it was raining that day, so I did know how well it went. We also went to the lodge part of the Fremont, and they were waiting for someone to come back. They kind had a red carpet out for somebody to come back from the hospital or something like that. I just remember all the people right there waiting for a person to arrive. I thought that was pretty neat. The menu looked good. They seemed to have good food to serve. They had probably the nicest rooms. I remember they were more modern, newer, and more open. I looked at both the duplexes and the two or three stories building. They were exceptional.

The Fremont was very nice. It's a little confined, but they cater to their patients. Everything was very good. The dining room was small, but they pride themselves on serving good, healthy food. They have a cook who caters to the residents in how they want things and what they want. They have some Alzheimer's patients that just come for daycare. It is limited to I believe 16 patients. It's a large community but most of them are able to live in the homes on their own. I was very impressed with the memory care section.

I was very impressed with The Fremont. I like it very well. I like the fact that there is a room, a bathroom and a room again. They do share the bathroom but they have their own room. It was very nice. They were eating then and the food looked good.

The Fremont Senior Living was really nice. It was very expensive but really nice. The staffs were really nice, and they actually gave some information to help us in our search because they didn't have any openings at the time we needed. They actually gave us some good information besides just in their facility. From the tour they gave us, the rooms and apartments looked very clean and spacious.

I like that the Fremont has individual small houses. With regards to the rooms, they let you do anything you want. You can change the carpet, and they give you a $1000 move-in allowance. They also help with painting or whatever. The staff is very personable and caring. They are willing to answer any questions or do anything that you want. They invited us to eat lunch there, and the food was very good. We also met the chef. The facility is very clean, and it's new. It's only 4 years old, and so everything is very, very nice. They have a lot of different activities that my parents were interested in. They are not there yet because they are still waiting to sell their house.

We were able to visit The Fremont when we were looking at the retirement apartments. The facility was large and more modernized than any other retirement communities we went to, and we were very impressed with that. They were more open and updated. We really like that. The prices were some of the most reasonable prices, which surprised us. My mom is going to be moving in there next month. The staff were very friendly and also make time for us when we come in with questions. They were very attentive and helpful. They didn’t have as many social outings that some of the other communities did, but they went to different grocery stores every Tuesday. They went to Wal-Mart every Thursday, and then they did have occasional outings where they went to movies or to other types of entertainment activities. They have a lot of social activity there on the premises.
