We're very happy with Mother of Perpetual Help. My mother is getting good care there. The staff is very friendly. Her room is nice, like a little studio apartment. The food has been very good. The atmosphere is very nice and very friendly. They keep her busy. They have something listed every day such as dominos, crafts, and day trips.

I did a tour of Mother of Perpetual Help. I like the facility, the rooms were big, and they were nice. I like that they had a little kitchenette in there, and a spacious walk-in closet. The rooms were a good size, and the facility is clean. They have a little courtyard in the middle. It's surrounded by buildings, so if they would get out of memory care, they wouldn't be on the grounds outside; they'd be in this courtyard. The staff who showed me around was very helpful, she's very nice. It's a little bit older building but it's nice and they've kept it well. The only thing I didn't like about it is where it's located because there's nothing around there. If I would want to take my mom out for ice cream for an afternoon or something or go to McDonald's or something, there's nothing around there. I'm not from there, so there might be something somewhere else, but right in the immediate area, there's nothing around, no eating places, or anything.

Mother of Perpetual Help was fine. The only reason why I decided against it was that they had 2 small communities because of the way the building was built and the evolution. One had been a convent, so they were separated, and there were only 10 people in each one; I didn’t think that it was good for my friend, specifically. Also, it was extremely quiet. Their prices were good.

The staff at Mother of Perpetual Help was friendly and efficient. They have a TV area, kitchen, room, laundry, and common area. The facility was clean, well-lit, and had nice carpets. It may need a garden. The location is not good as a place because it’s basically a park-dependent area. There’s only a small area for people to walk around. It’s in an enclosed area, and once you get out, you only can move around in a car. A walk in the neighborhood would be nice. It’s a very small area, and everything around it is developed. I don’t know if that can be avoided but it somehow looked ugly to have this parking lot like outside the building instead of a garden, but where else would people park? You usually want to live somewhere where it’s more aesthetic or more bedded with nature or where there are trees; but the parking lot is bigger, and it dominates everything else. The place is also expensive.

My father and step-mother lived at this residence for several years (my father for 7 years, until his natural death). We feel blessed to have had them at such a beautiful, caring place, where the staff is friendly and professional. I would highly recommend MOPH.
